I need stitches but I have bad reactions to pain control to get the stitches and stick on stitches won't stick so that defeats their purpose.
That leaves gauze and bandages and keeping the hand still for 5 days so the wound can knit without pulling open.\It's not ideal but it's the best they can do.
I live by myself and I look upon this things as a mental challenge.
I out think the problem and come up with workable solutions.
The more it pushes the more I shove back.

I'm taking most of the day off today. I'll finish unloading a trailer of barn wood and tin roofing, then help Wifey catch up on laundry at the laundromat. Hopefully that's it! I'll let you know if it works or not! Lol!View attachment 3716

The day didn't turn out as planned, as usual! We went to the laundromat, bank, PO, and the library and got home by11:00. Unloaded the trailer and sorted out the lumber and covered it. Then decided to work on the well house using Oak saplings and the metal of the old building we tore down. Got it finished about 4:30. So much for a day of rest! Lol!
The picture was taken through the camper window at almost dark.

Gump, That will be easy to find with that red on it. Our pumphouse was color of trees and mama dragging me the light bearer thru rain, sleet and sometimes snow to set points was not fun when we couldn't see the thing. She used a match book to set them as we laid on floor. I held a flashlight and if it moved...
We had a bucket that could get up to 100 mph too if handle slipped from hand. What a wonderful life it was.

Making lunch and dinner for babysitting duty for precious grand daughter Estelle tomorrow.
Making supper now.
Not sure about Keto diet.
But trying it. Now that it was approved by primary care doctor.

OK Gumpy. The disciples are playing. Doors open at 6:30, they play at 7. It's Free! Some things still are
They are pretty smooth! The price is right also! Lol. Y'all have a good time. Be safe, not sorry.

Started off the morning with topping up supplies of tinned lychees on special from Aldi, went and priced some tip trailers then home again dated the tins and put them in the storage room.

Outside again and hand watered half of the back house paddock lawns with saved grey water from the washing machine and then DH and I fertilised all of the vegetables in the back paddock gardens. Back inside again and we packaged up 5 more meals of frozen cherry tomatoes for the freezer and stripped the leaves off the rosemary I had traditionally drying in the home and got 23g for our storage and some for sale.

Tonight's dinner is mince stir fry with homegrown sweet potato, turnips, onions, garlic and tinned corn and mushrooms that should last for 2 meals.

My goodness, this makes me tired! Good fro you, it does feel good to get it done, huh?

Today was a lazy day. I napped while the baby napped- almost 2+ hours!

I did work on my pantry revamp. I am trying to feed my family foods that solely come from our pantry so I can restock with our lifestyle friendly foods. I am Keto and the girls are Paleo so the pasta and flour needs to go. I used up the flour today making mini muffins for the girls. I made two different batches. They ate their share then I froze the rest for morning in a rush. The non gluten free oats are gone as well. I am finding some great recipes to help get rid of the unhealthy foods.

I do have a small shopping trip to make but I am trying to wait until the end of the week or Monday to go. I think I can handle not having my heavy cream for the rest of the week.

No laundry done today but I did do some dishes. I am still playing catch up as I dirty more dishes than I can get clean. I might have to go to paper to catch up. But besides my lack of really getting something done today I can see progress in the clutter and I have a firmer schedule set for the girls. Roo doesn't like it but it is working none the less.

Labeled and put away the 12 pints of Chicken soup. Made a Chocolate Coconut Cream Poke Cake. Will mess around here for a while and then write a couple of drafts for eBay. That's about it for the day, I hope! Raining all day and half of last night here. High of 64 was earlier this morning and supposed to get down in the 40's by noon. Good day to stay in!

Accepted an assignment for VIP Escort Duty of Foreign National 5AM-6PM. Canadian General Dynamics Tech. Former Canadian Army. I am just there for Security. Turns out we have a lot in common. He is weak in Electrical, Thats my Degreed field. He ran into some electrical problems in a GD Weapons System, during a test. We Talked it over, cause we are always together and hes very vocal. I had some solutions. By talking it over, he was able to Identify the problem and fix it. He smokes Marlboro Red Shorts, in the Flip Top Box. This morning I gave him a Carton from Ms Chens VIP Casino Points. Looks like I have a new Friend.

I learned today that my snowblower eats soccer balls but cannot digest them. 2 1/2 hours of tear apart, remove ball carcass, rebuild snowblower and several skinned knuckles later I am ready to blow more snow in the morning
OUCH! Maybe you should start feeding it Exlax! That would help it's digestion problems. Ha!

Our landlord had the loose tiles in the kitchen repaired on Tuesday. They grouted the tile on Thursday. The workman cracked one of the repaired tiles and tried to slip out of the house before I could look at the finished work. I saw it seconds after he drove off and called K about it. I sent him photos to text the landlord and the workman was back to replace the tile within 30 minutes. A few hours after he left AGAIN I slipped and fell on the newly repaired tile and BROKE it! I pulled it out of the mortar so it would be easier for us to replace with a new one. I found that the workman put very little mortar on the replacement tile and I had broken it where there was no mortar to support it. It was going to break eventually. So K mixed up some mortar and laid a new tile in the hole. In 24 hour he'll grout the tile and we will be done with this BS.

Grimm, a few years ago when we were trying to sell and move out of Central Texas due to changes in Gov there and taxes rising we had our home on the market. Wouldn't you know it that is exactly when the washer decided to overflow and ruined all the fake wood floors. UGGGH! Insurance covered most except for the deductible which was ridiculously high. Anyway, they sent a crew over to install new floors. These guys could not speak a word of English and before they left I pointed out that they had cut flooring around door jambs rather then slide them under and used white caulk to fill in all the gaps. It looked horrible! I took pics and sent them to the floor company. I also requested that they do not send any more criminals to my home. What criminals they asked... The illegal aliens that you sent last time I told them. You can not possibly know that these guys are safe to be in my home and I'm sure they have had NO background checks done. The next day they sent a new contractor over. I told him why he was there and he said thank you... it is very hard to get work as the other guys under bid him all the time.

Headed to OKC for my 1st post op visit. Then some Trader Joe's and Sam's club shopping before the hubby Dr appt and discussion about date and time for his back surgery. Poor guy can hardly walk.

My friends daughter just had a new kind of surgery on her back in Tampa. She didn't want the fusion that most people get and this new type has her doing great after about 5 weeks out now. Before she got this laser type surgery she couldn't even lift her 1 yr old grand baby. She said she felt relief right after surgery. It is expensive not sure how much.
Fusion imo are not the way to go IF THERE IS ALTERNATIVE. Hubby had no alternative but I wish he could have back then.

Dishes are done, counter tops wiped down.
Got a crock pot of vegetable soup going for dinner tonight, Friday night and maybe Saturday too.
Laundry sorted for that job.
Trash gathered up and emptied.
Strawberry fed, watered and let outside for her to take care of her business.
Got Strawberry unwound from Azeala bush in front yard.
Got Strawberry unwound from whiskey barrel of Blueberry bush in front yard.
Gave Strawberry some undivided attention, because she feels neglected.
Hopefully tomorrow morning can get kitchen table cleaned off.
Almost time to go back and babysit grand daughter Estelle.
Another long day, but off this weekend.
