Got a call this morning from the project Manager for the fire department tower. He told me they were having the tower 100% inspected Wednesday. THen he said he had an offer for me, they are renting at 135' boom lift for the inspection and he wanted to offer the lift to us on Thursday to do our work. He said we screwed you all up last week, hope this will make it up to you. I was thrilled. We'll be able to put 2 guys right where they need to be to install the antennas without much heavy lifting and no climbing. This should be much safer. I'll only need 4 guys and think we may be able to do 100% or the installation on THursday.
Sometimes things come together just when they look really bad.

Good fro you guys, safer for all.

We got 10 hanging flower baskets finished and hung up. All the drip irrigation to them is completed. I got all my garden drip irrigation completed and now it's just a matter of watching the veggies grow.
I have weed fabric covering 90% of the garden so weeds, hopefully, won't be a huge problem like they were in the past.

I wanted drip irrigation for my raised beds but something always came up so it never happend, glad you are all ready to go BackL.
Now I'm just thinking to basically stay with containers , hugelkuture and raised beds.
Its too much work to try to go larger, plus making your own fertilizer is hard work too. But if depend on and we run out of artifial fertilizer that also depletes the soil then we are in trouble.
I'm not trying to feed an army or store up lots of food for somebody else.

Walked this morning and video. Took DH to Dollar General and local grocery--they are well stocked on meat and produce, just pricier now.

Going to go rake up in back garden and then transplant about 30 Cherry tomato bushes. Supposed to rain Thurs. and Fri. Hope they don't drown. I think the cold weather is out of here so it is time for them to grow up!

Going to get my hair cut at 2 pm. Yay!

@Haertig You're a saint! Hang in there- a couple more days, you can do it!

I have been knee deep in &*%$ oh, I mean paperwork. If any of y'all are bored, just look up the list of documentation of what it takes to be declared a "Woman Owned Business." The reason there aren't many is because most people (men & women) I know who own a business are busy and would offer up a "special salute" to the gov. At home, I've pretty much got the garden in. Need to get the mulch out of the bags and on the ground. We had nice little showers last night which helps in the watering dept. I was worried about the beans not sprouting, but the first one popped through the soil yesterday and another this morning. Things are usually a little quicker to sprout than this year.

LadyL thats great you got all that done! I need to get up and do more while I have this nice weather but only to get ready for fall no planting here now to speak of. Our season stops in summer.

About 4 hours of loading the pod. It is done. I am tired. Youngest daughter, the Dr came to help. While she was here she got a call from the hospital. She had gone into urgent care Saturday afternoon for a quick appt. They called to tell her that her PA tested positive. She is crying up a storm. Not only have we all spent time with her, she moves to Tucson in 3 weeks to start her new job. Calling the Chinese Plague hotline, they tell her not to get tested until she shows symptoms. The PA had a mask and gloves on, and daughter had a mask on, so crossing our fingers.

Mom has been craving Sonic for awhile & I hate going there but I got her a Reese's overload shake for Mother's Day. Medium drinks at Sonic were larger than she expected so she couldn't finish it. Brother liked it though.

My brother accidentally locked one of the cats in the truck overnight but fortunately, I found him before it got too hot. Had to carry him in the house bc he was freaked out.

Picked up the last cabinet for my friend's kitchen yesterday, stained it, waited for it to dry & helped my friend install ceiling fans before I did the 2nd coat. Ceiling fans didn't work but were from a place with no refunds. He's going to see if they do exchanges or store credit since one of the fans was not the one that was supposed to be in the box (someone had swapped out a cheaper one for the one the box was for).

Held my kitten for several hours. Helped install the cabinet. Went home around 1am.

Just waking up now, but am tired. Forgot to take my meds the past few days & my body doesn't like me.

New ceiling fan has light come on but fan won't work & the light isn't as bright as advertised. Supposed to be 1k lumens but isn't even close. Cabinet still looks good though.

10 tons of 73 limestone was delivered yesterday. Today I shoveled and wheel barreled about 4 tons. Filling in low spots in the driveway and road berm for the postman.
Could you please explain what 73 limestone is and how big a deep/wide a low spot can be, to use it?

Thanks

As if daughter needs more worry with all those kids and menapause plus high BP and she is very fit.But menapause hot flashes and Tarzan Zane, lol. can raise BP.Plus eczema is flared up bad.She brokw down and got a shot steroid.

2 of the grands were over yesterday , they washed the wife's SUV.
I'm glad , I didn't want to,
It rained off and on all day today.
So I put a new spray coating on her SUV that I use on the Vette.

If you want your car to shine and be protected.
The new stuff out today is great. No more waxing cars.

Mist it, wipe, then wipe with no pressure till it shines...soooo easy, and glass like finish.
I use..

It's a sios hybrid ceramic coating.

Bugs , dirt , bird stuff just washed right off..

Rested a lot.
Let Doogan out to play.
Fired a few 22 rounds...he went and hid.

Been working on Christmas Cross stitch quilt tops.
Strawberry and I have been walking quite a bit while the weather is semi nice.
Woke up this morning when the furnace came on.
Sure was glad it did, therometer said it was 51* in the living room.
Waiting on packages to show up, my new shoes should be here Thursday.
You guys mark it on the calendar that I bought new shoes at full price. l o l...l o l...
I never do that but my feet hurt.
Still learning how to walk without limping.
Have noticed lately when I get tired I limp more.

@Spikedriver sorry to hear about your work mate and listen to your gut feelings.

@Amish Heart sorry to hear about a work mate of your daughters testing positive and praying she doesn't have it.

@VThillman yes Australia here and looks like the firewood was pushed up with a swivel steer front end loader most likely. Yes multi layered ironbark hardwood trees with some of the ones we were cutting over the last two days 35 - 40 cm circumference. We have cut about 3 or more cubic metres of firewood in the last two days.

It was rather chilly this morning so we started off with a few cups of hot chocolate and contemplated what to do for today.

Both of us spent a little time on the internet this morning just browsing around. DH contacted his old doctors office to get medical records sent but they weren't ready and then contacted his old orthopedic surgeon to get records for from when he has his military accident.

Dh then loaded the chainsaws, fuel, files and chainbar oil into the car for another trip out to cut more firewood today. We drove there and spent two hours cutting firewood and neatening each area as we went. DH cut the firewood and I cleared the area and loaded the firewood into the trailer and sure I am looking more like Arnie each day muscle wise :) . We filled up the whole 8 x 5' trailer with firewood.

We drove home and had some lunch and DH stain removed some clothing and put on a load of washing in the washing machine. We then headed down to the shed and unloaded all the firewood we cut today and stacked it in front of the other load we did yesterday.

I then filled up the garden cart with more small kindling, put the chainsaw and fuels in the wheelbarrow on top and brought it up to the house. DH put the fuels and chainsaw away. I stain removed some clothing and put on a second load of washing and DH hung his load out.

Then I trimmed the cherry tomato plants and picked some ripe cherry tomatoes in the gardens and separated silverbeet plants growing too close together and transplanted them and watered them in. DH put the tomato plant trimmings in the bin. I then set off the the vegetable garden drip irrigation system and watered the potted fruit trees in with saved rainwater from our tank.

By this time it was getting quite cold so we had warm showers to get all the wood dust of us. DH also had a nap to rest his back.

Just sitting down and relaxing now for a while.

Jim, I wonder how well that ceramic coating works on dirt roads. Really need to scrub my truck down & get a clearcoat again before the paint starts to deteriorate. It has some black crud clinging to the top.

Just waking up but am tired and sore. Mom & I both racked out yesterday until around 7pm. I made dinner for her & went back to bed. Hoping that if I remember to take my thyroid meds the rest of the week I'll get more energy.

My mom had a hibiscus in which I left out one winter.big mistake.so I bought one last Sunday in memory of her,ànd planted it in the same pot as the last one.took someone for eye surgery yesterday.brought her in for a follow up appt this morning, then I'll be taking shopping when that's done.ive put new wiper blades on the car.gave someone a jumpstart yesterday.

Very wise decision MoBook,I'd skip on groceries before I'd invite any more pain from any part of the body, much less the feet. :great:

Well, this new ceramic coating stuff is a protector of a good finish.

My experience is , I am really impressed with it.

I have coated the black Vette twice , waiting 12 hours between applications.(recommened, takes 20 minutes each time), the Cadillac once, the wife's SUV once, used about 1/6th if the bottle.
I've never seen anything shed water like this.
And , nothing sticks to it. I tried sticking masking tape to it...will not even try to stick.

Well, I acquired a new bill today.
But hopefully Strawberry will burn off excess energy.
Am paying a teenager to run cross country with her for $10 for 30 minutes twice a week.
Her days are Wednesday and Friday with teenager who runs cross country for school.
Then grand daughter is here on weekends.
So she will have chance to rest on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
When he brought her home awhile ago, her butt was dragging too.
She barely had the energy to get a drink of water, get up on love seat before she was snoring.
He barely got out the door. But she had a grin on her face when she came in the door.
I also got to walk without worrying about getting tangled up in her lead, falling.
This way we both get exercise, both loose weight too.
The teenager is a neighbor up the street.
He's walking 10 dogs in various sizes 7 days a week.
He needs to earn money for school supplies for next year.
And he wants to keep his spot on the cross country team too.
So this is win- win for Strawberry and me.
Other than that working on Christmas cross stitch quilt top.
Will have to cook something today. Nothing sounds good.

I've not used this product, but my folks have old show cars and use Meguiar's products. I get the interior wipes and it keeps the inside nice. Will have to give this a whirl - before the bugs get 'really bad.'
