what are you doing with his ears?
Having coffee, waking up. Need to get things cleaned up and start cooking. Family over for breakfast today. I'll be making bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs, and I have some donuts and coffee cake I bought from the farmers mkt yesterday. We'll be working on projects afterwards; I think one will be a small air con installed in a window, and maybe a bike put together, and a large fridge out of the pod.

Hi yall. @Terri9630 BFE

Little grands coming today, too hot to be outside though. They like my backyard tho and always want to run around out there.
Tidying up I guess.
Need to drop off junk to good will at some point.
Keep forgetting to water my plants out front, better get to that directly.
Ya know, I ordered something online from a location an hour away from me for myself, and for two others in Florida. All items left the facility at the same time. They both got theirs on Wednesday after my order last Saturday. I'll get mine on Monday.

They want me to take in less than a litre of liquid , water, coffee, juice , or pop a day , for the fluid build up.

That with no salt, and the diuretic meds is keeping it in check.

That would be hard for me. I drink a lot of water during the day ( 5-16oz glasses) plus 2-3 mugs of coffee every day ( best thing ever discovered lol) and I like having OJ with my breakfast for the vit C

Zanne What kind of cats are those?Nice job on the cat cave.
They are sort of street mutt kitties. Almost solid black shorthairs. Their mother is a black & white tuxedo cat that my friend's mother dumped at his house. She's a very sweet kitty. They were born in April & my brother and I took to them right away. We are partial to black cats- they are my mom's favorite type. The smartest cats we've ever had have been black cats. Don't know if it's breed or coincidence or what. My friend's fiance wanted to throw the kittens outside but we set up a rabbit run & a litterbox for them so they could stay inside-- but they didn't change the litterbox often enough & the room has no vents (they had them in the bathroom) so the girl complained about the smell. My brother bought the cat cage & we brought them home when they were 8 weeks (their mother had already started trying to wean them). I'll try to get better pics. Namir has a little white spot on his chest and another one further down his belly. He's developing a longer face than Temjin. Temjin has a few little white hairs near the bottom of her neck on the front but otherwise she's solid black. They are both very curious, very friendly, and they love one of our dogs (the dog loves them too).

I felt exhausted earlier. I went to bed before midnight & slept until 10:30am. I thought it was mid-afternoon when I woke up because I kept waking up & I felt like I'd been lying down a long time. When my fatigue hits I can sleep from 10pm all the way to 5pm or even later. I have slept 24hrs before.

Since my brother got laid off & kicked off his insurance, he got approved for Medicaid so he can start buying his medicine again. He has a weekly injection he gives himself to treat his insulin resistance. He produces enough insulin, but his body resists it & that stuff is expensive.

I'm trying to do some stretches to get myself motivated to get up & move. I need to do something productive today. I'll probably do some cleaning.

Today I'm putting together freezer meals. My parents bought me a deep freezer while they were out here... I'm so grateful and excited! I took advantage of the BOGO chuck roasts yesterday so I'll be doing bags of stew and bags of beef & gravy. Also I'll be using some of the Keilbasa I already have to do some bags of sausage gumbo. I'm just waiting for the husband to get back home from getting my car's new tires so he can attend to the baby while I work around the house

Other than that I'm finishing up this weeks laundry, shampooing the carpet in the dining area, defrosting chicken for dinner tonight (bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed chicken breast), waxing my eyebrows, and running to the grocery store.

Getting up later this past couple weeks. Need to clean out sand from beach in van, vacuum and mop floors.
Strawberry has been walked.

How old is the baby?

That would next to impossible for me.
I drink at least a gallon of water a day.
Plus several pots of coffee, sometimes a pitcher of tea.
I'm not puffy anywhere but feet and ankles.
You know the kind of puffy if you poke me it leaves indent(like the Pill bury dough boy poke).
I eat no salt and only buy low salt or no salt vegetables etc.
Only time I crave salt is when my iron count drops to low.

I'm sitting here resting, had the grand daughter this morning.
Sitting here re reading the introduction forums, every single page.
Making sure I didn't miss anybodies introduction.
Funny thing about introductions, sometimes you might miss one or two.
Hence why I go back and re read them periodically.
Then will proceed to several other forums that catches my eye today.

I ran the drip system on the garden for a couple hours. Seems like every other day it needs it with the hot dry weather we've been having. But it's producing well so no complaints. Actually thankful I was able to get it completed earlier this year.
Wife canned a couple jars of tomatos that had ripened. I got the dehydrator out and we cut up a 5 gallon bucket full of bell peppers, well close to full, and loaded the 9 trays in our dehydrator. House smells like peppers now.

You and the wife are doing great with the preps this year as usual, glad you got the drip irrigation going. We have not been doing that good for awhile now, tring to get ready for a good fall crop. May use hugelkulture and one rasied bed but mostly containers that can be moved into greenhouse,or thats the plan.

I have been on Bountiful Baskets mailing list for a few years, but for me to order and pick up, it is many miles away. I could start a pick up site somewhere closer to home, but just haven't done anything with it. I suppose trying to place an order where I have to go pickup would give me more insight. I have thought that since the virus has been around, food coops might be more of an interest again, since people are buying more in bulk, it seems.

The closest site to me is 70 miles but they aren't opened back up yet. This site is 90 miles away but close to the pharmacy so we combined trips.

Yes! Dinner! Either the 27th or 28th, Weedy.
What a bummer about the truck, Terri.

Enjoy dinner y'all. Turns out when hubby stopped for coffee the starter fried itself and melted one of the batteries. The shop is replacing the starter, battery and cable today and said it will be ready Mon morning.

I hope this fall goes well for you all. I know the weather and soil can be challenging down there. From Spring till fall gardening is about all we do besides go to work. But we have good produce most years. Everything rarely ever turns out in a given year. But I plant a variety and we usually get quite a bit different stuff over the year. We buy some to put up to at farmers markets or some produce stands we know about that sell bulk.

You have to drive further than I would. Bountiful Baskets is great for people who live in small towns where availability to certain things is very limited. My cousin got a ham and lots of sandwich rolls from them when there was a busy weekend of visitors.

I know they are not open in Colorado currently.

I haven't even checked on them in a while, but trying again to start a food coop has been on my mind. My uncle in South Dakota told me he would like to get a 25 pound bag of white beans, and the only place I have found them has a minimum of $250 order. Could I place a $250 order for various dried foods? Sure I could, but I am still dealing with a bunch of bulk purchases I made earlier this year. I have them packaged, but need to work on the area where I would store them, but have too many other things going on.

When you live as far out as I do everything is a long drive. The closest town of 53 is almost 25 miles one way. There is a gas station/hunting lodge/restaurant, a post office, elementary school and a thrift store. There's a dollar store in the next small town another 50 miles away. Its awsome out here!

We got around early trying to beat the heat but it was still so humid I could hardly stand it. I had a track hoe pin giving me fits while I was working on that Jake put a set of brake pads on my truck.

Taking it easy “today”.
Enjoying some quiet time with hubby.
Got the bed off my “new” truck last night. Found out there’s no bolts holding the entire front of the bed on 🤦🏻‍♀️ Guessing that’s why the cab has dents from the bed/camper braces. Original owner had a camper on the truck and you got to do some pretty good 4 wheeling to get into camp. So glad i haven’t used it as a ranch truck to date. Fuel pump etc should be here Monday. Going to pick up paint to spray all the missing paint from underneath since we have great access at the moment and get the replacement bed bolts. New bed cover is supposed to ship the 30’th. Bed should be back on by the time it gets here. Shocks, brakes and the rest of the service parts will be here next week as well. Praying this is the last stuff we need to do before camp. Almost finished all the parts on hubby’s truck also. Still got a few things to do on the trailer after we’re done with the trucks. Love working together with my hubby.
Got a big pork loin out and ready. Hubby‘s firing up the smoker as i write this. Going to watch the new documentary “Uncle Tom” on the deck while the smoker does it’s thing. It’s supposed to be a must watch. We’ll see.
