Where are you going to be in Kansas, SpikeD?
I cleaned the big porch today, washed windows, outside of the grill, 4 rockers, and took down a wasp nest. Then cousin and her son came by with a very large mower and some weed whackers and went to town. Brought a small J Deere mower for grandson to try. Everything looks pretty good now. Half the pod unloaded. Our parrot entertained two little girls today, and I think he's had enough goldfish crackers and freeze dried strawberries and fig newtons for awhile. We went to the Menno discount store for some odds and ends, and I picked up canned veg for 49 cents a can. Went to the local meat market and got steaks for tomorrow, some summer sausage, and hot cheese.

I survived ,
Showed her...
Great lunch today.
Just followed her orders

Home made bb jelly
Home grown maters.

At least over here, that is an unheard of price for the size of house and acreage.
It would be very unusual here too. Normally that would be 100k to 150k. But the owner was older and didn't keep up with maintaining the overgrowth in the last few years, and the interior needs cosmetic updates. But everything is in working order.

That Jeep is a 2015 Wrangler 4 door with a snow plow. It's still under 9 grand with several days left to go before the auction ends. I think it's worth double that...

I'm checking out an online estate auction this afternoon. An acreage and everything on it are for sale. The owner was an elderly bachelor. There's a 3 bedroom ranch style house on 1.9 acres, and is move in ready condition. It's at $52k right now. If it stays under 60 I may jump in at the last minute. There's also a 2015 Jeep, and an all original Remington Nylon 66 that's at $140 right now.

I don't need any of this, but I want to bid! Auctions are from the devil! 😁
I love auctions.

Working on putting stuff away in the basement, and also husband and I are picking up my favorite cousin's daughter and husband and taking them to Sams with us. It's a ways a way, I think about 40 minutes. Never been to one in Kansas, so I hope it's not lines around the building to get in like the Albuquerque one. Have to bring ice chests, it'll be hot today.

I'm not sure what we are doing today.
@Amish Heart , everywhere we go to shop is 40 minutes away. We are use to it.

We are either going to pickup free vegetables , county is distributing , go to Rural King, or to Clarksville(1hr) for White castle and shopping.
Don't like shopping in TN , high sales tax, 10% I think.

Right now enjoying coffee.

Jim

Strawberry and I have already walked this morning.
When we got up this morning the humidity was already at 94%.
Drinking coffee, have to go to Wal*Mart later.
Strawberry thinks she needs dog food.
She needs new harness.
Watching the apartment complex office get new roof.
Working on a fish, crocheting on grand daughters blankets.
Any day now on new grand child.
Wish me luck on the vampires tomorrow.
They want 15 tubes of blood, been drinking water like crazy.
It's nice to want.

Going to Wal*Mart tomorrow after I see the vampires.
Good thing my appointment is at 0830 hours, it's another fasting one.
Strawberry is getting her girlish figure back.
She's loosing weight. I found it.
Should be getting my new blood pressure medicine with duiretic this week.
It's a funny thing about rereading the Introductions last week.
There were several I had missed, but one that should have been there wasn't at all.
Hence why I go back and reread every forum page periodically.
Besides the fact I'm nosy and I might miss something important.

Our county is giving away 1712 packages of this today.
I can get as as many as I want.
It's all got to go today.

That looks like what I get in my CSA vegetable, and fruit boxes.
Looks good.

No give a ways here only take aways. But so far we made it.
Its been a silly last xouple days here in isolation land.
I can't get @Patchouli to joke around though so guess I'll just have to go it alone. Patch likes those little 'sad' smilies so I may call you Sad Sack Patch,MEOW? :)

We need some young blood around here to help with all this work but most young don't want to work or worry about shtf things.

Maybe the forest moving in on us is a good thing since we are exposed to milions or billions from ssolar farm 'why here ,why now 'I'd never even considered living here if I'd known the liberal commie was finally going to spend some of the loot from Obama for alternate enegy.Looks like between the medical profession and green boots radiation is now the name of the game.
We have solar too but not millions of panels!:ghostly:gaah,we just have2 panels.

Planting some watermelon seeds today on hugelkulture mound.Vacuum, mop floors and order some groceries for delivery this afternoon.

Well we went to the pharmacy, that's our UPS place to ship stuff...got the package shipped to our winner.

Went to community center to get those free veggies and fruit.
Won't be getting any, the line was literally over a mile long.
No thanks.

So we hit the highway to Clarksville, jus finished our sliders.
Now headed down to the big Cadillac dealer to browse around. Won't take long unless they're really wheelin and dealing.

Then we'll head home

It's only an hour home.
Then we will be mowing ...again.

I've been doing laundry. Now I'm procrastinating. The washer is full of clothes and water and won't drain. Its just making a ticking noise... I brought the mop bucket and wringer in but I just don't want to pull everything out! Anyone want to come do it for me?

Hey Patch (@Patchouli ) Why is the sky blue?

Hey Lady (@LadyLocust )
The Short Answer: Gases and particles in Earth's atmosphere scatter sunlight in all directions. Blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time.

Nope!
Correct answer: If it was green, you wouldn't know when to stop mowing  Bahahaha heeeheeeheee

(That's the only clean joke I could remember) hope you giggle or at least roll your eye :)

@Meerkat the rash is why I went with a man's electric razor. Works great, no rash, legs are smooth and I can shave whenever I need to since its so easy to do and you don't need water.
