The Short Answer: Gases and particles in Earth's atmosphere scatter sunlight in all directions. Blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time.

@Meerkat the rash is why I went with a man's electric razor. Works great, no rash, legs are smooth and I can shave whenever I need to since its so easy to do and you don't need water.

He doesn't have one it was thrown away by kids in Ga. last Thanksgiving one of the toddlers threw it into toilet. So it was trashed.Maybe we can find one online, any suggestions for online still haing products? I know half our Amazon order never came we made a couple months ago.

Woke up at 4 am this morning. What the heck!

Already washed sheets on guest bed, washed rugs and swept floors.

Still need to do long video- no walk, hip hurts, make meatloaf and mashed potatoes (with 5# bag that was gifted).

Other than that, just mess around today and visit.

Made a Pecan Upside Down Bundt Cake last night.

Got up at 4, made an online order (trying to get in some TP), went grocery shopping, purchased some extra GOYA beans just to make a statement, put fresh and frozen food away. I sat all the stable foods on a big table by my storage shelves, I will date them with a sharpe, put them into my inventory log, and then place them on the shelves. It takes time, but my wife can't make it down the stairs to the food storage shelves and the inventory lets her tell me what to bring up for dinner. It also lets her target the older food so our stores are always fresh-ish (When you have a year's supply you are always eating year old food).

We got a tenth of an inch of rain, again. We're so dry here even the buttonweeds are turning brown. The grass is crunchy. @phideaux you could send some of your rain my way...

Nah, gonna keep it here.
We are getting about an inch a week..I have ,probably, 100 watermelons on the vines , 8"-10" right now(sugar babies). Beans and peas are best I have ever had.

I have a 10am appointment at dealer.
While I take the car in for oil and filters to dealer in next town to the west , the wife will be making and canning sphagetti sauce.

Then we will go for our Friday evening eat out.
At Coppertop, for fish fry.

Then come home and try to get all the mowing done.
With her on the John Deere 355 , me on the Gravely zero turn, we can get it all done in 2 1/2 hrs.

That's my Friday plans.

Jim

@phideaux you got too much grass. You need a goat or something... 😁

That's what I keep telling my wife.

You know most gals, they want it purty, I just don't want to mow.

She wins.
I bush hog about 15 acres twice a year, we use to mow that too.
Finally got her to cut back on that.

This morning I get to deal with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles............................................................

Well that went surprisingly well!

We left the house 10 minutes after I wanted to. Five people in line wanting for the doors to unlock when we arrived. One of the five was wearing a mask. Wife didn't want to wait in line so we sat in the vehicle and waited. Doors unlocked and the four that wasn't wearing masks put them on before entering. Employee at the door explaining the rules and handing out "To be waited on" numbers. I asked the employee if she could do the out of State VIN check while we were waiting and she did!

Wife had forgotten her mask and I was wearing mine in my back pocket. Displayed at every customer station was a notice from the County Health Official mandating masks in public. County has zero authority over the State so I continued to ignore the notice. Another posted notice about nation coin shortage advising of credit card or check was preferred. When a customer left that station was sprayed (counter, credit card reader and chair) with disinfectant and wiped. After waiting a half hour they called our number.

Evidently I answered the questions correct and had the correct paper work. Got the Title transferred and registration without any problems. Half expected the Town Police to be waiting when we exited, they weren't. One advantage of visiting the DMV in a small Town instead of the city!!

wow hubby had to make an appointment here and that was 3 weeks out! Then only him and 2 other people were allowed into the building at a time

Fella hubby works with said his daughter wanted to take her driver's test and had to take an appointment in Aug!

Have your yellow star yet? Good luck,of all the emblems and colors they pick the ol yellow star?:ghostly:

Had web tech come in work on web upgrade.
I vaccumed and mopped almost all th house this morning and getting out seeds to see what we have .

Got up earlier than normal to walk Strawberry.
We walked about 30 minutes pretty good clip.
She kenneled herself.
Locked her up went to get blood work done.
My appointment was at 0800, and it's a fasting bloodwork.
The vampires wanted 15 tubes of blood.
Well they didn't get 15 tubes of blood not even close.
Nor did they get 11 tubes of blood.
Nope, they didn't get 7 tubes of blood either.
By this time, they have poked me 4 times.
On the 5th and final try they hit blood.
Finally they got 2 tubes of blood.
By tomorrow, I'll look like I've been beaten by the bruises.
Still got one bruise from week half ago.
So while I'm in that town, I go shopping at Alidis.
Several people tell me I'll save money if I shop there.
No I didn't but I got $27 of junk food.
I finally got to eat food about an hour ago.
Just resting now, drinking coffee.

Finally got my work PC set up in my "home office" (spare bedroom).

PC does not have WiFi, so I had to run a 75' CAT-5 cable from my modem to the PC. Had to cross 2 doorways and the main stairwell so I taped those down with Gaffer tape.
Had to crawl on my knees to run the cable under the trim molding along the hallway too (why is the floor so low?). Now my knees are killing me. Tylenol will help for a few hours, I hope...

Well, now that it's done, time to relax a bit before my afternoon activities.

Our truck should be back from the dealership repair tomorrow afternoon. A piston did something, and the truck is new, so it's covered. We leave the next day for Denver and would like to drive it there. Went to the dump and the bulk food store. Got lots of goodies. And a very delicious blackberry cheese fry pie I shared with husband.

Went for a bike ride with my daughter this morning. It's her birthday today (she's 14!!!o_O y'all gotta pray for me!). There's a mom n pop ice cream shop a half mile from the bike trail so we had some birthday ice cream.

Tonight she taking part in an online creative writing workshop, so I'm just chilling out. I'm bidding on reloading tools in an online estate auction. Got my eye on a powder scale...

Your nylons will look a lot better without hair under and through them.
