Thank you Patchouli.
Just so frustrated right now.
I passed on nice small 2 bedroom house with fenced yard for that apartment.
Now I'm stuck in the neighborhood from hell still.

Just remind yourself that when one door closes another one opens to better opportunities.

That is what happened to us when we had to move last November.

Got the girls up this morning and ran right out to the grocery store. I wanted to get cold cuts and other meal items before the holiday weekend shoppers clean it out. When we got home Roo did her school work. Now we are set to not have to run out for any reason other than picking up misc stuff from home depot or another store. K is taking Tuesday and Wednesday off so he doesn't have to go back to work until Thursday. He will be working on the honey-do list.

I ordered some #10 cans of FD strawberries from Walmart for next day delivery. Gotta boost our food stores before November. ;)

Strawberry's kennel was loaded on cart, taken outside.
It got sprayed, dish soaped, scrubbed including her bedding rinsed with garden hose .
Trying to get rid of red ants, fleas.
Was scrubbing her bedding with my great grand mother's wash board when neighbor's little hellion grand children arrived to torment Strawberry. They didn't know I was outside. They do now, threw rinse water on them.
When cops showed up, they looked at me, Strawberry wash board, washtub just smiled walked away.
They went up to talk to kids, their mother and their drunk as skunk grandfather.
They brought mother, grand father down to talk to me. I'm done talking. I pressed charges for harassment on the children.
It's to the point Strawberry and I can't enjoy our outdoor space anymore without those kids tormenting us.
Neighbor who lives next door to drunk grandfather, came down and told the officers what he heard and saw.
First time in 18 months anybody stood up for me and Strawberry.
He also pressed charges against those kids, their mother.
The mother will go before judge now for neglect on those kids.
Not the first complaint I found out later on the mother or kids or drunk grand father either.
Me, I just rinsed out my washtub, hung Strawberry's bedding on top of her kennel, trashcan, wall between my apartment and the neighbor's apartment. Brought everything back inside put it away.
While Strawberry was enjoying the peace and quite.
Got the floor scrubber out scrubbed the kitchen floor.
Feel like I accomplished something today.
1.Got nice clean kitchen floor.
2. Strawberry's kennel, bedding got scrubbed, aired out.
3. Everything will be put away in few minutes in kitchen.
4. Packing several drawers in kitchen into suitcases that are stored under the kitchen sink.
Closet space is lacking here. Might be able to put cookbooks into a suitcase too.
Got one sore left wrist too.
Couldn't wear splint while I was scrubbing stuff down.

To get rid of fleas fast I highly recommend getting a bottle of De Flea by Natural Chemistry from Petco or Amazon if you have Prime. We had a flea problem years ago and I use to use that shampoo in our carpet shampooer to get the pests out of the rugs! It WORKS! Kills on contact! They offer this as a standard shampoo or as a concentrate in a gallon jug.

Thank you for the information.

Thank you for the information.

I have had a gallon of the concentrate for 10 years now and only used half of it. Stuff still works 10 years after opening.

I'm more worried about the pest next door now.
And hope they don't have dangerous freinds.

A new member of the family! I named him Sam. I keep all pet names to one syllable. He comes from first rate working dog blood lines. I'm not going to train him to be a straigh up working dog to serve the community with leo's but he will be trained for guard and protection

He's 9 weeks old today. His body just had a growth spurt. His legs look longer than he is.

I really like his demeanor. I picked him out from his 8 siblings at 5 weeks of age. He's intelligent, has energy like most working dogs but he has a mental calmness about him that set him apart from his siblings. I watched the pups for an hour before I picked him out.

My big sheppard doesn't know what to think, expected. In a week they'll be best buddies.

Everything didn't get put away, but I don't care.
Had to care of someone more important than the washtub, wash board.
We run and played outside, she squealed with delight that Granny was running, playing with her.
We then loaded up went to the park.
We(she) climbed up the slide, we swung on swings.
Hiked the walking trail.
Had to stop at Sonic get drinks because Granny was thirsty.
We had to shop at Dollar Tree for Halloween decorations and 4 little books that make into puzzle.
Granny has her groceries put away.
Resting.
Granny is tired now.
Jim,
Did your Doctor's appointment go Okay?

I hope you have an uneventful weekend, moBookworm! Neighbors. Yikes!

Congratulations on your retirement, Dr. Prepper! And I'm glad your wife is doing a little better, Jim!

As always, walked first, ran to local hardware for collard starts. Walked the pups, fertilized the garden (fella with tiller came this evening), made dog food (it will cook overnight) and got my lids ready for PC tomorrow. Somehow in all that I got almost 13,000 steps. I rarely stop and sit, apparently!

hope you all have a great Holiday!

Snappy 1,
You have a wonderful weekend too.

Jim,
Did your Doctor's appointment go Okay?

Went good, as the lady that did the ultrasound, was very informative.
I have 2 tiny cyst on both kidneys, she said very clean and everybody has them and they're not a problem.
Kidneys look really good.

So why is kidney function so low?

Guess I'll find out next week when I go to kidney specialist .

Jim

Worked, was supposed to be up to 103 but only made 96-97 so glad for that. Returned home, did a huge batch of dishes, vacuumed, hands and knees cleaned floors. I just sat down and am going to start in on darning socks- I’m running low in my drawer even when the laundry is done 😋. Hubby should be home soon so will then work on supper.

Update on the puppy! My camouflage house slippers aren’t going to last until morning… He’s at that chew everything stage. I put everything up before he arrived but left a few easy targets as bait.

He’s not going for the bait. He’s decided my shoes smell yummy. I did have to give up the nice wool blankets I bought for the living room furniture, packed them into a closet. I had an old ratty comforter I’ve been saving for a rainy day. There will probably be comforter stuffing everywhere in the morning.

Glad you had some fun today and have those little sweeties to help you through the rough times.

Mom went to her new heart dr yesterday. She's had a echo on her heart and wore a heart monitor for 30 days. He gave her the results. She's got Aortic Stenosis. Needs the valve replaced. She's 81 and not sure she wants to go thru it. Shes not in bad health in general and Dr told her this is the source of her breathing and vertigo problems. Please say a prayer for her if you don't mind

Wow, Mo! What an experience. We all need to pray hard for you to get into a good housing situation. We all need to have peace in our own homes.
