This is what I wanna see more of! Sun!

Made it home from the hospital, going to get a shower and a shave and head back in the morning. My dad had a rugged time with the open heart surgery he had a lot of bleeding pain and nauseousness. I'm rung out, slept a couple of hours over the last few days in a chair in the hospital waiting room.

Show him this, and tell him to try it...

Hello everyone and back from having the moles taken off and turns out they only needed to take off 3 as the others were not raised at all, so that is good news. It did hurt a little but they shot the area full of local anaesthetic and took them off and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Apparently I am still a good Aussie bleeder because he had to put his hand on one for a considerable time before it stopped bleeding. Let you know more when the anaesthetic wears off as to the pain levels and it is starting to smart a little at the moment so I will take it easy for a while.

HB, aging is kyptonite to Supermen. Just help him heal, no jokes for a while and remember to take care of yourself. Jake and the Misses, need you to hang around for a while.

Up early prepared breakfast for guests and spent time with them. Rushed off to church. Came home, walked dog and cleaned house for tomorrow’s guests. Some bible study. A short nap. Did some paperwork for local tourism association. Cleaned up supper dishes.

Sounds like a full day! How much snow do you have on the ground. I've seen a few flakes here this morning! With the wind chill it's 28°.

It's been raining for about 48 hours straight. I haven't done jack, except run the sump pump every few hours and a few indoor chores. 47 degrees here now. We are supposed to have a hard freeze Wednesday & Thursday nights. Afterwards I'll get chicks from Ts and start setting out plants.

@hashbrown ... I hope your daddy is up and around soon. Mine turned 84 this year, his decline in health has been disturbing the last few years. :(

With what’s melted I think we have about three feet, drifts are 6feet plus, higher elevations are 10-14 feet

I admit I am sore and feeling a little delicate after the op today :( . I have never handled any sort of anaesthetic well and also have low blood pressure so been dizzy and almost passing out after DH changed the dressings today. Think we will leave them on for a few days now we have put on antiseptic cream and wait for the wounds to heal a bit.

DH put on a load of washing today and hung it on the clothes line and hand watered half the back house paddock lawns with saved grey water from our showers and washing machine. In the kitchen DH washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I wiped them and put them away. DH fed Tabatha the cat when it is usually my turn so she came looking for me in the bedroom and snuggled with me for a while after DH changed my dressings. She is very attuned to when either of us are not feeling well.

We applied for life insurance for DH back in Jan. and the ins. co. turned in their request to VA clinic for info Feb. 5th. Today we are going to VA clinic to see if we can get them to do what they should have done over a month ago so we can have a done deal with the ins. Also have to get some milk and eggs. Worm the goats. Cook some bacon for more hot bacon dressing.

Still working on boat. We painted and put in plywood yesterday, today I'm measuring carpet to install. And working on my van. Thank goodnees sold camper so now I want to fix up my van a little. A small table, blinds, is in the plans. Already have toilet in the van always have, don't like public restrooms.
Blinds are so expensive now or the good ones anyway that darken and cover. Mainly for trips to visit family and beach trips. I need a place of refuge at times in case attitudes need adjusting.

Feel better, Sewing Creations.
I survived work after being gone a week. I need to get a months worth of curriculum written and readied before we leave for the farm on the 23rd. Tonight is American Heritage Girls for the granddaughter, and Boy Scouts for the grandson, so we'll be driving till 830 p.m. Mondays are rough. Just finished feeding all the animals, ran the vacuum, did the dishes...now putting my feet up and then need to make dinner.

@Amish Heart thank you I will and have resigned myself to taking it easier for a few days. DH is going to the doctor today and will also have to have a minor op for a skin condition he has so it might get interesting around here. Good we have a substantial medical kit and lots of dressings around the home.

Sounds like you are going to be busy with work and grandchildren so try and take it easy when you can. Think you are a wonder woman with all you get accomplished anyway in your day whilst working :) .

How did they tell to take care of the ones they took off. Just curious. I also work for a dermatologist and he recommends cleaning with water and using plain vaseline.

@NannyPatty they gave me no instructions at all on care but thank you for the advice and help I will do that. Shall leave the dressings on for a few days until they stop bleeding and then I will do that. The pain is excruciating at the moment if I take them off.
Did they burn them or freeze them? If they burned them, you could try cold zinc oxide cream. ( diaper rash cream) very soothing. If frozen, the discomfort will settle quickly.
We instr our patients to leave the dressing on for 24 hours. But, our patients have sutures and we do a lot of plastic repairs foe the skin cancer areas.

We've only had our dog for about a month now and he's the same way. He can tell when my wife and I don't feel well. Last weekend when the granddaughters were here, the baby (4yr old) hit her nose with a hammer and he loved all over her!

Went and test drove this Beast today...

Mon! That's sharp! I've never had one but now I want one.

Thanks @NannyPatty they shaved them off as they were a keratosis just in delicate regions just below the armpits where undergarments rub and catch on them. Yes I can see why you instruct clients to leave the dressings on for 24 hours now as seriously taking them off around 10 hours later can send you through the roof with pain and believe me I am no wimp and have a high tolerance to pain.

@gumpy isn't it lovely when our animals are in tune with us and comfort us when needed :D and love it when I see any animal comforting children too and are gentle. Tabatha was rolling on my hand and pressing on me and talking non stop. When DH's back is out she does the same thing and won't leave his side.
