I have absolutely no idea what time it is.
Every clock in the house(stove, microwave, phone, atomic clock, laptop) are different.
Doesn't really matter to me.
I'm retired.
I get up about 0530, maybe.
Eat when I'm hungry.
Got to bed when I'm tired.
But it upsets some people.
I really dislike daylight savings time.
Oh well.

Same with all our clocks, far as daylight savings time 'what daylight savings time' we don't deal with it,:dunno:. Our natural clock gets us up no matter what time they say it is,but do feel for those who are still working.

Something the government likes to use so they can manipulate the Midwest.
You get up an hour earlier in the Spring.
Then you fall back an hour in the Fall.
This way the government or employers supposed to get an extra hour of work out of you.
You get an extra hour of daylight to enjoy maybe or not.
Too get the Governor to rescind daylight savings time in the State of Missouri you need about 5000 signatures.
It could be more signatures now.
But like I said I'm retired.
I don't have a schedule per say.
Strawberry does look at me funny these days though.
She gets fed at 5 pm.
But with daylights saving time, now she doesn't get fed til 6 pm.
Hopes this clarifies this for you Meerkat.

Went out to find an authentic mexican breakfast burrito with husband this morning, and we did find one, even though it was a little texmex. The sign said aunthentic mexican food (ha ha) and the place used to be an old gas station. Pretty decent, though. Went to the bulk store to look for calcium carbonate, rennat, and cheese wax, but they only carried the rennat. Had a DMV appt this afternoon for KS driver licenses. Husband got his. Not for me. My name on my old license didn't match the name on my birth certificate. Duh. I've been married 37 years. I have a different last name. So we have to get a form notorized and then mailed in to CA to request a certified marriage certificate. The one I have is not certified. Next appt available is January 13th. Oh well. Cousin called and asked if I'd stop at Aldi after that to get two turkeys. Butterballs on sale. So I did. Then brought them to her, and then, of course there was pie.
I understand that CA is a bit of a challenge to get documents from. Someone I know had to go there to get a copy of her birth certificate. They would not send it in the mail to Colorado. My guess is that this has to do with identity theft.

Its thieft alright but they have this system that you HAVE to go through and certify to get documents like Divorce, name change, marriage, and if your a woman it can get expsensive@ Cost me $360 to please the damn gestopos at DMV.Then they scanned me and gave me gold star. So hope it wasn't the mark of the beast they put on me.

During lunch I went and dug out 2 4-tube light fixtures and 4 extra bulbs that I put in the shed when I switched over to LEDs, I also put the bell peppers and cherry tomato plants into 5gal buckets, so as quick as I can get a place ready for them I can bring them into the house. They both had lots of fruit and buds on them, I hope they make it through the shock....

Wife tells me that like some small children, I've got my seasons crossed ;)

The elk here this morning had drank all the water from the water tank I had out for their use. I had let it get low and now that it was empty I flipped it upside-down for the winter season. The elk can drink from the creek a quarter-mile away.
Hiwall, we need funny happy stories right now so what I was reminded of with this post is. . .
When we were kids, my brother and I would go down to the creek (probably about 1/4 ml. away:) and play. My brother would bring home crawdads and put them in the horse trough. After some months, maybe a year, my dad noticed that the horses weren't drinking so thought maybe he needed to drain and scrub the trough. He reached in to get the plug and pulled his hand right back out with a few choice words. The tank was almost full! My brother got in trouble and had to haul all the crawdads back down to the creek in buckets and wasn't allowed to bring any more home.

We had them in our creeks in N.Georgia.

We were about to put in the first part of concrete floor yesterday when the neighbor got our attention. Turns out the water company was working on a 40" line and must have turned off the valve too fast. 3/4 of the house on the street lost their water meters and had water in the basements. We believe we escaped because we had the main valve prior to the meter turned off.

After running home for the shop vac and helping the neighbor dry out his basement, we skipped the concrete for the day.

I finished off the day sorting more legos for the Lego Lounge. I have 3 more bins left to sort and I suspect I will run out of drawers.

We did get the first section of the concrete floor installed today.

Maybe 4-5 days like today and we may be putting the cement mixer away.

Behave!

I did driveway maintenance today. The small drainage ditch between the yard and driveway had filled up with sediment. Plus there are poured concrete steps down to the mail box. At the bottom there is a 12 inch culvert that had completely stopped up, water was washing gravel off the drive and out into the highway.

So, I borrowed my cousins 3-point hitch grader blade and reshaped the little ditch. I'll get the dirt out of the culvert tomorrow and put it back in place. Good to go for another 5 or 6 years.

Gun range today. Went before the weather turned bad. Wind and even a little rain.
I disassemble and cleaned a couple of old .22 rifles that belong to my cousin. They were made in the late 30s or early 40s and look like they hadn't been cleaned since they were new.
I ran out of spray cleaner so I have to wait for more to be delivered before I can clean them better.

It's ok to eat ducks.
Just saying

I was going to before all my heart issues but now they'll be primarily for eggs and I'll just eat the whites.
They're Khaki Campbells and I LOVE owning them now that they're in a cleaner, larger pen.
They're still too young to *** yet and they're a bit flighty still but there's something calming about watching them.

My oldest son and oldest grand daughter came today and set all my time pieces.
My son took a nap on my bed for about 4 hours.
Grand daughter, Strawberry and I rocked in my recliner.
We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas today.
We watched both versions this afternoon.
Strawberry and grand daughter napped while Granny rocked.
Strawberry is stretched out in her chair.
I'm yawning in the recliner.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! How many times have you and granddaughter seen the movie? My cousin's daughter was all about Frozen. Her dad posted, "Watching 'Frozen' for the 1000th time!" Probably an exaggeration, but I understand the feeling. One day in Hobby Lobby a mother was shopping and her daughter was in the shopping cart, watching Frozen! I laughed and the mother told me it was part of every day, and sometimes more than once in a day.

This so reminds me of my daughter who would watch the same movie over and over and over, everyday, until I got paid (once a month) and would buy her a new movie. The way I would get her to get off of one movie, was to buy her a new movie. A new movie every month for many years means a great video collection.

I think we have watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" about 550 times .
I think we might hit 1000 by Christmas.

The ability to see the same movie over and over again is something we didn't have the opportunity of doing until the last few decades with VCR's and DVD players, and now streaming. My parents would drive to the drive in, and by the time any movie came on, I was fast asleep. I still remember that we went to see Black Beauty, and I was very excited about the movie. I was probably fast asleep by the time the movie came on. I remember being carried to bed when we got home from drive in movies. I know there are people who would rarely watch the same movie a second time, let alone several times. I have watched Downton Abbey, Anne of Green Gables and a few others a couple times.

Thank goodness for the ability to watch movies over and over. When the wife is feeling sick and down the Sound of Music, The Music Man, or the Happiest Millionaire always do wonders for her spirits….

I have too many that I like, any of the John Wayne collection, one of my favorite space movies is The Martian (has curse words, but it's kind of a prepper in space type movie).

Water hammer (water under pressure rapidly reversing direction) must of popped the frost plates on the water meters?

Sipping on my second pot of coffee.
Watched the shingles get unloaded this morning.
Somebody in the complex getting new roof this weekend.
Strawberry has been walked.
I've walked.
Listening to the silence for the most part.
Supper just needed heated up.
Dab of dishes to do.
Working on Baby Reign's Christmas blanket.
Working on oldest grand daughter's(Estelle) Christmas hat, stocking(maybe) slim maybe.
Found out 10 minutes ago, I'm cooking the turkey for Thanksgiving.
This could get bad.
There's a reason I bring glazed ham.:ghostly:

You were assigned? When people ask what they can bring, I ask them what their preference is?
My dad told me I was fixing the turkey.
Mom always fixed the turkey when she was alive.
She's been gone little over year now.
Dad doesn't know how to fix a turkey.
I don't know how to fix a turkey.
Youngest sister and youngest niece are vegetarian.

I had to learn how to make the dressing and cook the turkey - it was a lot of fun.
I was fixing turkey for six and growing up I got to watch but never helped and mom fixed turkey for 17 or more... I had too much dressing and a lot of left over turkey. :)
