Haven't been online much , got a new computer finally and have to figure out what all my passwords are and such

Also snowed in completely. Snow now goes up to my knees. But, I did try my skies and ski boots, and skied down the road. It worked. So that's good. I feel bad for all the poor livestock. Our little goats don't go out at all , I did try to let them run around in the snow but they just huddled in front of the barn. No end in sight either, we have winter storm warnings and wind warnings the rest of the week I think,. Oh and we are almost out of wood. We started out with as much as last year ( lasted until April) but this year we are going to be out soon, probably another week or so. Not cool. This is the coldest and snowiest it has been since we moved here.

Hope everyone is well

I'll be glad when I can get up and not have to stoke and feed the fire in the stove. It's getting old.

Finally got my coffee made . It's about 30 deg outside.

Will be going somewhere in the big town , for lunch before meeting with surgeon , at 2 , to set up wife's surgery.

Then come home and crash.

May have to clean out ashes today also.

Y'all stay safe , have a great day.

I saw a room like that today. Husband has 4 appointments for this or that this week. He always makes them about 11. Then we have lunch. So I try to get hustling with chores in the morning. Need to go get little granddaughter from school in a few minutes, and get gas at our one pump unattended place. Then get dinner rounded up.
The basement cats toppled a shelf again a few days ago, chasing something in the middle of the night, so finally finished that pickup. The guy is here painting the interior of the add on. Flooring was delivered. I am hoping some things will progress this week. The three week build is nearing 3 months.

No remodeling work today. Instead I shoveled about 6"of global warming. I now have a path from the street to the front stoop and another from the backdoor to garage out back. Also shoveled out around were @ThePricess parks her car.

Strawberry has been walked.
Dishes are done.
Weather is cold,windy.
Got chili simmering in crock pot.
Going to be hemming some pants for an elderly gentleman.
But for the life of me, can't quite figure out why a gentleman with 27" inseam.
Buy pants that have of 34"inseam.
But he doesn't want them cut off.
Nor does he want big bulky hem .
Oh yeah the pants are also flannel lined.
Old men, you got to love them.
So glad this one isn't my dad.

Hope soon you won't see this again for a long time and both of you are well.

Well they couldn't give us a surgery date today , but should tomorrow.
We will have to make a trip another day this week for pre-op, then covid test within 72 hours of surgery , when they decide a date.

Another words...today was a total waste of time.
So the waiting is not gonna be over for a while.

But you do know that the surgery fixed her up last time and it is reasonable hope it does the trick again.

Dropped my truck off for a brake job this morning, had them do a serpatine belt while they had it. Got to work late, had to take our Cal Van to the place that is building out the new truck so we could figure out a few things. Ended up making some decisions that will save some bucks.
Got back to work in time to go home. Got almost nothing done today that I needed to. Most likely working late the next day or two to catch up.

The free loading duck-ups still haven't started laying YET.
I'm gunna kill eat them all .......most of them.

I'm getting fitted for a new dental appliance that the land shark lost.
I no long think she ate it because it hasn't came out .......Lord knows where it could be.

Next pension I am up for sandpaper and paint. The land shark has decided that door trim and jams tastes yummy.
Also on the next shopping list is bitter apple and a shopping carts worth of rawhide dog chews.
She's teething and even her ear set has gone wonky becuse of it.
I need to wash the brick red ghost chili sauce off the door trims because the house is starting to look a lot like a crime scene and smell like a kennel.
That reminds me I need carpet shampoo and a LOT of air freshener.

@Firepolice271 was distracted by a fire call so called off working on the house rebuild so just hung today.

First I had to mount a hook over the bed used by the elder granddaughter to hang a canopy from. @ThePrincess and the girls had tried cup hooks (agaisnt my advice) that fell out when anyone looked at it. Ceiling tile are to be looked and not screwed into. I found a beam and installed a big hook to hang the canopy.

Then I hung a clock that didn't have any fixture for hanging.

And then there was the mirror that also didn't have anything to hang it with. I used hot glue to attach some safety wire and got that hung.

After that I hung out watching some prophecy video and capped it off listening to The Revelation.

Behave,

Ben

You're a nice grandpa to hang the girl's canopy
I would say thank yoy I didn't do it of my own choosing. But today's activities were self defense to avoid the wrath of @ThePrincess .

:confused2:

She on the other hand is a good Grandma wielding her power to make me do stuff for the girls.

Ben

OK, credit where it's due. It's good you listen.
Another day with a doc appt...hearing test for husband. He's not needing aids, so it's ok. Went to lunch at the amish restaurant, post office, dropped off a bag of little granddaughter's "gifts from mom" at the thrift store. (junk). Little granddaughter and I shopped at the salvage grocery after I got her from school...it's just across the street from the school, so she loves to go. Got lots of bargains. The kids all have a 2 hr late start day tomorrow, so I don't have to be raring to go so early tomorrow morning. But we have two more doc appts this week, one being tomorrow.

Meg's mouthing and latching fixation reminds me of Belgian Shepard puppies.
They are land sharks as well.
She has a huge work drive to go along with that mouthing and latching.
I'm starting obedience along with working in personal protection commands into it rather than straight obedience commands.
The majority of our work has been off leash and she has excelled.
She's very quick to learn....but attention span is short and we are still having to deal with mouthing and latching.
She has a tug toy made of very thick rock climbing rope doubled over and knotted along it's length.
Megs will latch, when told to and I can swing her off the ground for over 360 degrees before I take her to the ground and say RELEASE.
She will under protest and will jump up after a second of sitting under command.
Not too bad for a 12 week old pup.
I'm getting her a chest harness so she gets use to wearing one and when she's mature I'll get her fitted for a proper Personal protection harness and a proper pig hunting plates/vest.
Buying these before she matures is a waste of money.

Yesterday, I walked, did laundry, took Peanut Butter to the beauty parlor and DH had COPD doc appt.
Today, will walk and walk dogs.
DH will pick up and ferry around his friend for awhile.
EBay photos later.
Go to local store for garden seeds.
At 2:30, Oreo gets the 2nd set of his doggie downers before going to the vet at 4:30.

Sipping coffee.
Strawberry has taken care of business this morning..
I walked from the back door to the front door for 15 minutes already this morning.
Will walk again in a bit.
Imagine my surprise when I got to front door and there was a package dropped off from Fed Ex.
Was really surprised when it had my name on it.
I hadn't ordered anything.
Walked back around to the back door.
Strawberry and I came inside.
We sat in the recliner, she was giddy with excitement.
She gets the box to toss around play with.
There's yarn inside with a note.
Seems some little people agreed on two colors of yarn for washcloths.
Because Granny would love to make them for the little people.
I always like getting yarn for various projects to make people.
Except in this case I don't know who gifted Granny with the yarn.
Yarn came from Joann's.
So still don't know who gifted Granny with the yarn.

Four dog day for me. Wednesday always seems to be my busiest day of the week for that. I am boarding D this week while her owners are scuba diving somewhere in Latin America. We will go pick up Z who is best friends with D. We will go to the dog park while they chase each other, nip at each others back legs, and dig holes. I will take Z back home, come back home, eat lunch, then go get M for a walk, and then go take another M to the dog park. D and M are both part pits, both alpha females, and they do not do well together, so D gets to stay home while I am at the dog park with M. If they got along, I would take D along. I have no interest in separating a dog fight or taking either of them to the vet. Or having a dog fight in my car.

Don't get between them two..😁

Yesterday, we had chicken baked on a bed of home made rice-a-roni with veggies and roasted pine nuts... Today, is a leftovers day. But, the wife was talking about doing a pot of beans tomorrow or Friday. She asked me to go out to the raised bed and pull some carrots, there was 6" of snow on the top of the raised bed, but I raised the lid and dug up an 8" circle with enough carrots to cover several meals.... I will have to harvest the other 18 sq-ft of them in the early spring so I have space to plant new things.....

I have 2 - 3 gallon buckets with in-door carrots that are just getting started, they should be ready in mid-summer...

My bush beans are now making fruit, so we will have a mess of ham a green beans sometime soon. I spotted a sugar snap yesterday, it was so cute, I ate it.... ;)

Am currently in the process of planning my first batch of seed starting for the spring garden... The wife added a couple of plants to the list of seeds she wanted, but most of the seed places don't have what she wants in stock, or they are not shipping... I have sufficient to improvise, but it will not be exactly what she wants. That is what happens when you can't make up your mind until after the ship sails....

This morning I mopped the wood floors that I put in over the summer, I can see a few spots that will need to be touched up, but I will wait till I can open up the house.

Was talking to the wife about getting out of here when I retire (6 yrs), the property the guy got (On another post) in northern NV sounded interesting, but the Mid-west might be better. I like TN but my visits there give me the feeling that it is getting crowded. Have kids in WY, but I don't like freezing, CO was good as a kid but I would want be able to afford enough property to have a real garden and a few small animals. But the real problem is I don't think I will have much money available and that will be a limiting factor. It's hard to believe that I've been working for over 50 years and don't have much to show for it....

Right now we are in a very liberal area of the East and the only thing that makes us stay is my job, the medical facilities, and the hunting (which was a flop this year). But I can see the writing on the wall, I have reached the advancement potential of the job, the wife needs the medical facilities but her condition is terminal so the medical facilities won't matter after that, and I can see how my eye sight and stamina will be limiting my hunting soon....
