We passed our bikes on to the twins. I have a nice Schwinn beachcomber that granddaughter likes the best. We bought new bikes for ourselves last year. I have a three wheeler Schwinn with the basket in the back, and husband has a three wheeler recline bike that is good therapeutic exercise for him.

Most of our great graands are too small or already have bikes, Those yall have sound really nice. We paid alot for these 10 years ago about $1000 for the two.Today one cost that much!

Visit to the dentist to get impressions for the healing dentures. They tried to do a digital scan but they had hardware problems. Dentist wanted the digital scan because my teeth move around too much.

Plan B was to get an analog impression. The tech had to stuff wax between my teeth to keep them from moving. That went OK until the last impression of my bite. I jumped as the tech tried to remove the impression because it almost pulled one of my teeth out.

I talked to the dentist about all of the bone grafts and asked he could prescribe something to knock me out for 3-5 days. He assured me he will give me enough opiates to keep me groggy for days.

Surgery may happen in 2-3 weeks.

I know too much info but that was my day.

Ben

Thanks, Meerkat. I'm still tired and achey, but hopefully it will get better.

Got up early to go get blood drawn. Went fine. I didn't even get anxious this time-- I think I was too tired. Nurse lets me babble away bc she knows I hate needles. Told her about the plumbing woes. She said a lot of people are in the same situation.

Went straight home to nap. Friend called and needed help to clean up his yard bc a-hole greedy mayor showed up at his door with the cops. Gave him verbal notice he had until next Tuesday to clean up his yard or get hit with $5400 fine. City ordinance is it must be 10 days written notice. But nobody in this town will do anything about the corrupt mayor. Fine isn't supposed to be anywhere near that high. But the mayor just so happens to own a yard-cleaning/landscaping business. I really wish there was some way we could find someone to report him to for his corruption and get him out. All he's done is raise taxes and take the $ for himself.

Watched my friend's ex fail at mothering. She is trying to make her 6-month old feed himself (he's now eating baby food) because she doesn't like feeding him. She gets bored after like two spoonfuls. I had to put on the baby's favorite youtube video to calm him after she told him "feed yourself" and walked away. Baby isn't coordinated enough to do that yet on his own. She's also lying about their house guest to turn my friend against her bc she feels competitive with her.

Anyway, we got quite a bit cleaned up. I grabbed food to take home to mom and then headed back to pick up my brother after dark.

Tomorrow we will go get some supplies for cleaning the yard better.

Y'all can't imagine how nice it is to have my wife feeling better and not in constant pain.

Today we're going to pick up my best friend Doc, and take him out for lunch , wherever he chooses.
He has done so much for us.
Like having your own personal physician.

That's about it for today.

Youngest grandson has been coming over and doing chores outside for us , after school. I been giving him $10/hr and he thinks he's died and gone to heaven.

Truly hope y'all have a blessed day.

Jim

Put hay back on raised bed, thinking of what I should have said to my friend before she passed,We haven't really talked much in a couple years she was busy with new grat grand. Wish I'd told her how speccial she was more often.
Let them know how important they are,you never know what fate has in store. She was one of mybest friends but was a good one.

The lowes fabric covers the hole where a window in the shower was located. Water had leaked in under the window and the entire wall was rotten. It is all gone now. To the right is the closet of the master bedroom partially framed in.

Tomorrow more carpentry and then we should start the wiring soon.

Encouraged friend to take Havasu's advice and report the mayor to the AG. He's trying to get in touch w/ him and has also been trying to contact DA and other people down to the town judge. His mom asked around and found out the mayor did it to several people.

Picked friend up to go to Lowes along with brother.

Got tools and quickcrete gravel.

Friend dug trench, bro & I unloaded gravel & tried to fill pot holes. Used dirt from trench. Helped dump gravel into trench.

Raked dirt toward house to try to level out ground more so it doesn't slope down toward the house as much.

Went to Tractor Supply to get a wagon and cow feed.

Fed the cows.

Made lunch for mom.

Resting for now.

Go ahead and tell her now Meer. She'll hear you and will appreciate it 💖

Well, it's obvious it wasn't my house you swept and dusted 😂 Hope you're doing okay Snap. You've had a lot on your plate in the past few months 🌾

Wow, folks must be training for the spring forward and are asleep early. To wake y'all up, does anyone else have R rated advertisements on the side bar under the latest posts section? It finally changed to a Jeep add but was females leaving little to the imagination.

A trip to the little town this afternoon for lunch and groceries... Picked up a few bags of topsoil at the ag supply store along with a spool of barbwire and new wire stretchers. I'm sick to death of cows being out. That boy... grrrr! He's had calves out everyday for a month (this time).

Monday they finally got into the highway and almost cause a truck to wreck. His solution yesterday... he bought a solar fence charger and put up a single strand of wire instead of fixing the 3 strands of barbwire that's hanging in loops.

I'm going to fix it the right way, tighten the 3 strands of existing barbwire then add a 4th strand. I'm sick of his half-a$#ed attempts to keep his cows in the pasture (mini-rant over).

Here is the English Walnut I was talking about before attacking it. It was very symetrical.

The tight crotch is shown below which is subject to bark inclusion and rot. Eventually one or the other trunk will fail in a wind storm.

I had to adhere to the rule of thumb that says do not remove more than 1/3 of a tree at one time. So the right hand trunk had a lot if branches removed and I will finish removing the right hand trunk next year.

Could you save that maybe by using a cable, protecting the bark with an old cut tire, right about the middle? would growth around that joint over time make it strong enough? I’m trying that now with a cherry tree, similar issue. Year three, seems to be working. I figured that the tree was a goner anyway with a split if it happened. We have a turnbuckle configured in ours, but that may not be necessary.

Today is a rest day.
Everytime we do a lot , like yesterday, it takes 2-3 days for us to recover.

My friend Doc , gave me 300 rounds of Samson IMI 44 magnum ammo . Gotta clean it up .
He wants me to sell and split the money. 😁 He's funny..got more money than he can spend, but few bucks for ammo is important 🙄😁

So I might clean it today.

Lunch sometime today. Don't know where.

Y'all stay safe ,

Jim

Much less interesting here. Completely detailed wife’s van and my truck. Need to pressure wash the trailer to remove the dicing garbage from winter use. Back to “work” tomorrow which is fine since the weather is going back to cold. On a positive note, grilled sausage outside on the barbecue last night and tonight’s dinner looks to be chicken wings and thighs. Sure will be nice when summer gets here full time.

Was at Church to finish cooking and to serve at 7:30 AM this morning.
Got home about 10 AM.
VA advocate called while I was at Church. Said she had to figure benefits and will call back, so I am in limbo until she does. Hate to go for my walk and have her call back. I could do video, but it is so nice outside.
Want to prune roses. Not sure if I will do that either.
We will see.

Hello Fresh meal plan, Butcher Box, something about "No child should be Hungry".
Would rather feed the elderly, homeless, Veterans, children.
There were other comment there too.
But I edited it instead.

It's spring. Don't forget to reverse your battery cables so the AC comes on instead of heat. Also a good time to rotate the air in your tires. And check blinker fluid. And lube muffler bearings.

Yesterday, was picked up at 0430 hours for surgery.
0615 was admitted.
0710 had IV inserted.
0730 went into surgery.
I got to watch part of the surgery.
0830 went into recovery.
0930 was released.
Today arm is iced, elevated.
Taking it easy, sleeping quite a bit.
5 days before bandages can come off.
Follow up appointment with Surgeon in 2 weeks.
Strawberry is spending several days with oldest son, oldest grand daughter.
OS's girlfriend her 2 children.
Her children want a dog.
Son was afraid Strawberry would hurt me while I regrouped.
So she with him, Estelle,Son's girlfriend, her 2 kids, fenced back yard.
She will be good test for them as to whether they will get a dog.
Strawberry's point of view spending time with 2 of her favorite people:
Oldest son, grand daughter and a fenced yard lapping up all the attention.
Oh, yeah!
It's a win-win situation for her.

I hope you heal up quickly and completely @MoBookworm1957 !

Advocate called back and unfortunately my brother made his will in 2016 and had put a younger step brother as his beneficiary for everything. Don't know why he said it was me, but this is the third time that has happened. Do folks think I won't talk to them if I'm not in a will. Can't imagine that. We did the right thing paying for the cremation and I know God knew this would happen, so I will try to let it go and pay the bill off as we can. $1100 to pay is a lot to us, but again God knows that.

I did go for my walk but no roses will be pruned today.

Got my second covid shot. So far, no gills, no flippers and no 3rd eye. Kinda disappointed.
So where would you prefer to grow a thurd eye?

An eye on the of a finger would come in "handy" when trying to plug in a cable on the back of a flat screen mounted on the wall.
