Yesterday I got most of what I had planned done but I didn't get the rack for the water barrels built and I didn't get the old raised bed restored.

I did remove 7 10+ gallon containers from the front porch and replace them with 7 10+ gallon containers with hot peppers, I only had to carry them about 120 feet, but it still made my back want to talk to me...

The wife had a bit of an off day, she tried to cook chili beans but instead of CUMIN she dumped in CINNAMON, she was in tears and it made for an interesting dinner... It is painful to watch her trying to maintain her independence and nature just keep taking things away.... She still gets made at me for taking the "Pay the Bills" chore away from her, but it only took a couple of nasty-grams to force me to act.

Good morning, It's Sunday and I have already watered all the plants in the garden and Now I can get cleaned up for Church stuff. Wife has some sewing related chores for me today so I have to keep my paws clean... dirty hands on new fabric is not a good combination...

Stay safe and well, enjoy the day

Church.
Pickup MIL to take her out for lunch at her favorite restaurant.
Bring MIL to our house so she can enjoy the wife's cats, if eating out hasn't tired her too much.
Take MIL home.
Take a nap.
Finally do the final proof read on a story and post?

Sunday. It's a day of rest. Maybe take another nap?

We got up early going to float Bull Creek, decided I better go check river conditions since it was going to be a family float. It was a little to high and worried me about my wife who had never paddled much so I guess we will go up to Table Rock and I can get her a little more comfortable before we hit the creek.

Guess I'm in one of those moods again. I took a box to donation then worked out in the summer kitchen and have another box to go and a pile of stuff I don't have a box for - will have to bring another home. Also went through plastic pots and have a bunch in a big bag to take to a little organic farm not far from here. More out - yay!

Well I'm sitting here taking it easy, just finished a nice cup of coffee, thinking about a second one and trying to gain the courage to go out and finish mowing the lower field, do some weed whacking and hack into invasive blackberry vines. I'm thinking my wife may have it in mind to cut my hair, it is a warmer day and she's not going to get her hands cold. I also have to lay in some 6 mil black visqueen under the solar array to get it ready to fill in a layer of 3"+ crushed rock to stop weeds and grass from growing there, then again, a nice cold beer is also calling my name, naw, too early for that, have to see what my wife has planned and go from there, I don't want to make too many decisions, I'm already overheating my brain and that's not good.

@Spikedriver Your a great dad! My dad never showed up for anything. Your daughter’s a lucky young lady. 😊
Thank you. She got sick right after the recital got done so I've been pretending to be a nurse. She just has too much going on with recital and Finals at school, and she got a bad cold too, and it was too much for her. She fell asleep on the futon so I'm in the chair hovering over her like a mother hen. Checking to see that she doesn't have a fever, you know...

Good morning @Spikedriver and @Double R, Hope you can have a good day. I know it can be hard if you don't get a good night's sleep.

I just finished paying bills that came in on Friday, Our Bank's online bill pay was down till last night (I hate it when companies upgrade and fix stuff that was working with new stuff that works differently)

Ha, doesn't that always seem to be how it works? If it ain't broke, it don't need fixed!

I'm sad that she is sick, I am glad that you are there for her.

That’s a bummer but I know she’s in good hands. Hopefully she doesn’t have a fever and feels better by the time she wakes up.

Thanks! Hope you have a good day too! It’s definitely going to be a tired one for me.
I hate that! I wish companies would leave things alone. If it isn’t broken don’t “fix” it! It usually makes things worse not better.

Went out to water the garden, it's raining, so I guess the BIG GUY decided to give me a hand :) That will put me on work chores an hour earlier.
So for today:
the main floor is vacuumed,
the bills are paid,
the garden is watered,
and it's 06:20 Time to log off here and get to work. Happy Monday

@UrbanHunter Soooooo jealous of your rain! Enjoy the help! Have a great day 🙂
@Double R you can have some of our rain. It's supposed to rain off and on for a few days here.

Actually we're still a little dry from last year's drought, but I'm on my days off and I got things I want to do so I'll still share some of it with you...

I would happily take it. We are drier than I have seen in as long as I can remember. We got no winter hay cut this year, almost no feed in the fields already and the garden spots were tilled almost a month and a half early because it was already getting to hard to till. Send all ya want to spare

It's supposed to rain Thursday, then next Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I'll keep Thursday's rain and you can have the rest...😂

My church's long time pastor is leaving and we hosted a candidate to replace him this weekend. Pastor Rick was always laid back with an easygoing manner that put people at ease. Pastor Rob, the new candidate, is frenetic and outgoing, and moves along from one topic to the next at lightning speed. I get the feeling that the church council really likes him. I'm not 100% sure what to think of him. There are lots of things to mull over, that's for sure...
