Printed out the protection order paperwork. Started a rough copy of a timeline. Can get the screamers information on the 7th from the sheriffs so have time to get it written up as best as possible. Sheriff suggested doing an anonymous tip to the county for him living in a run down outbuilding. Not sure if I should do that or not. Sheriff really was trying to help. Very tired. Waiting for hubby to get home. Another rough night. Far more frustrated now. At least I get to see beautiful sun rises.

I moved the pile of old fencing to the debris pile we have beside the stream bed. Took a lot of breaks because that stuff is heavy. I took the break next to the pond which is one of my favorite places to sit.

Managed to get all done before the rain moved in. Currently watching it rain while waiting for our weekly meeting with our financial adviser to discuss how to structure transfering our private forest to one of our LLCs. Probably sell the property to the LLC and then combining the two deeds so that we legally build sheds and access roads. I see it as taking money out of our left pocket and putting it into our right pocket.

I made her change this morning before driver training, and just warned her about what she's wearing before she went to bed. She is very annoyed with me now. Oh well.

Roo will be 10 in October and so far I only have to yell at her when she forgets to wear a camisole under her shirts and when she sits like a boy when wearing a dress.

I listed a bunch of antiques for sale. I am only keeping the pieces with a use and bring me "joy". I don't need antique suitcases when I have my TSA approved carry-on. I listed other items too. As long as they are sold with in the year and gone I'll be happy. I want to spend our last 6 months in California cleaning and packing.

Today is paperwork day to close out our school year. I have final grades done but the paperwork to get Juju registered for kindergarten needs to be done. Course of study for both girls too. Fun.

Packing up my winter clothes and hanging up my summer stuff. Getting rid of the things I haven't worn in over a year from my winder clothes rather than hang on to it.

Just pluggin' along getting things done and getting the clutter out of the house.

Some movie or something I saw had a scene where the teenage girl was told to go change her risque clothing. She put other clothes on top, left the house and took off the top layer when her parents weren't there to see.
I remember when my now 5' 11" daughter had a dress that got really short on her after a growth spurt and she wanted to wear it to the school I worked in for a graduation ceremony. It is possible she never wore that dress again.

Lots of girls now wear shorts under their dresses, even young girls. Even at a young age, first grade, it is a thing for young men to be interested in getting a peep. I find it sad when children cannot be innocent children. I wouldn't have even thought of that when I was that age.

Not sure who won the rain or me... I got soaked and I did NOT finish nearly what I wanted to but I did get about 1/2 done. Maybe even a little over half. I never did make back to drag over the buckwheat seed either. But I did get that field that's about 1/3-1/2 acre almost all the way tilled for a single pass before the rain set in. I needed three more strips or about 6 feet wide for the full length to finish it. It was raining pretty good so I threw in the towel and got the bigger tractor with the seeder mounted. Swapped out the seed plate to the one I just got for corn. I planted it AS IS lol . But hey it is done and it is raining a little. The harder rain passed soon as I got on the tractor with a canopy to keep me mostly dry. I had almost a half a handful of corn seed left in the hopper when I was done. I dropped those back along the last row on my way out. I probably could have finished up everything IF I hadn't gotten rocks jammed in the tiller a few times one took almost an hour to dislodge! Ended up having to break it in pieces to get it out! All the rest combined probably only took 1/2 as long to get out. Only one more small spot left to till and plant for this go round. Oops almost forgot I still need to go back and seed beans in between the corn rows after it dries out and probably gets tilled again. Good news the seeder worked great with nary a hitch..

Since I was already soaked I jumped in the shower immediately upon coming inside. I did consider taking a shower in the rain I must admit but it had slowed down to much by then.

My wife made all our daughters little girl dresses and they all had matching shorts. I thought it was a good thing because our little girl didn't know if she was a monkey, a gymnast, or a ballerina...... at least when she was standing on her head we didn't get too embarrassed.

More time at work, stopped by the store for a meat run, then tilled the garden. I'm ready for bed and hadn't even had time for a shower yet.

Today was auction day for cattle. Decided with all that’s going on to keep the last stragglers back in case of beef shortages. Hope we have enough feed to handle the few extra we kept back.
Getting chores done while hubby’s home. Picked some zucchini and squash from the garden. Wishing i could eat something and keep it down. Sending it all up with hubby to the boss who loves getting extra produce. Been discussing our next steps in this whole crazy guy ordeal. I noticed hubby went out and lubed the gate that the guy hears and starts screaming at me. He also surprised me and installed my old CB (I had in my semi when I drove truck) in one of my trucks. I’m pretty excited to have a CB back but it’s been so long I’m going to have to relearn everything. He says he’s going to put one in my other truck (my nice truck not work truck) and his truck for when we go to camp. Tags have been put in for deer this year. Drawing is in 2 weeks.

T-minus 1 1/2 hours before the guys should start screaming. Better get things finished up and locked down.

Also, finally! My goal was to be completely debt free by the end of last year. Missed it by a few months, but the check from the sale of the house made it to our account today, so zero, zip, nada debt - actually that part hasn't really sunk in yet.
@winds-of-change Glad you are going home. Not sure what's up with you wanting to visit a place like that so get yourself better whatever it is.
@dademoss I hope you are healing well. A drain removal is usually a sign that whatever you had done is mending and almost healed.

I have right lower lobe pneumonia. I’m much better and continuing to rest and heal at home with breathing treatments and oral meds vs IV meds.
Activity as tolerated. I fed the outdoor cats, made a simple dinner, emptied all the house trash containers, took a shower with no difficulty breathing.
I’m feeling much better. I’m happy to be home with my hubby, my critters, my own couch, my own bed, etc.

Laundry. Ha Ha. I do all the laundry. Inappropriate clothes disappear sometimes. Today was trash day and those too tight black jeans will be buried somewhere.
I have thought about the layering of inappropriate clothes. If I catch her, she's dead.

Took my 14 year old truck into the shop for repairs. It had been sitting pretty much unused since March of 2020 when I started working from home.
I drove it periodically to appointments, but not the 5 days per week 30+ miles a day when I commuted.
I went to take it to an appointment a couple weeks ago and the check engine light came on and flashed and dinged incessantly.
Engine ran very rough.
Took it to get codes read and it said miss-fires on several cylinders.

Just got it out of the shop and $1,100 later, my 14 year old truck now runs like a 10 year old truck!
Not bad for 187K miles.

Hey @Sparky_D glad you got your truck fixed, sorry it cost you $1,100. I have 2 cars and I make sure I drive each at least 20 miles every week just so they keep running. There is nothing worse on a vehicle than letting is sit for a long time (animals like to move in under the hood too).

The other thing is people don't think to do is check/change their oil. Even if I don't drive it much I try to change my oil at least once a year and I check my tires in the spring and fall because the of the changes in temperature and time the air pressure will go down just a bit. Preventive maintenance is the key to long car life.

We are in escrow and should close on our former home of 30 years in So Cal soon. With the equity will be debt free after paying some things off except for our current house payment. There will be enough left over for a nice cushion. I am really thinking about buying back some of my federal time and punching out two years earlier at 60.

Thank you for your prayers Yes, healing well, nothing was draining after Monday afternoon. It's so much nicer without a drain. Follow up in 3 weeks, should be able to resume normal activities

Today I'm going to do the same thing I did yesterday. Sit in the house with the AC running. When it gets to 100° and above I don't go out unless I absolutely have to.
The temps are supposed to drop back into the 70s and 80s in a few days so things can wait until then.

Home Depot ended their mask mandate for employees so I went back to my part time gig unloading trucks, 7pm to 11pm Monday through Friday. Usually minimal customer interaction and simple work, even though the hand unload of all the small boxes requires a lot of lifting and moving. But, I learned shortly before I left last year that I can work just a little bit more than the others and still keep the boss happy, but at a fraction of the pace I used to work before I wised up. I am not overly proud of working slower, but I am not going to kill myself while the young and strong work at a snails pace and earn the same pay. It's a good way to burn off the extra energy before bed time, and the extra cash will be nice to have again.
Due to the news of the meat processing plant being hacked causing a possible meat shortage I had the GF buy some extra affordable stuff when she went to town Tuesday. She found good prices on packaged burger and some other affordable meats so she stocked up. She said there was still a good supply on the shelf and no signs for a limit soooooo, she bought the last five 3 pound tubes of the good hamburger she likes (70-30) and several pounds of bacon at the first Albertson's she stopped at. She bought a few each of the few items she likes at Costco, then went to the other Albertsons and picked up 7 more tubes of the hamburger because they had a large supply out in the cooler. The price of the hamburger didn't go up yet, and it was on sale so it made sense to grab extra. She did notice the price of bacon went up within the last week.
Yesterday she emptied and rearranged the 2 freezers and was very pleased to see them both full of meat. Meaning they were full, no more room, but they are now stocked with the oldest in front and everything is marked and dated. She then commented that she wont have to buy meat for a while, so I have to explain that she sill needs to replace what is used each week so that the supply doesn't dwindle. It took a minute to explain that but now she understands. She is learning.
Watering the yard today, timer set while I am typing this so I can move the sprinkler every 12 minutes on the cover crop area. I wish we could get some rain, but that is part of living in the desert. At least the cover crop is still growing and mostly green so that is helping improve the soil in that area.
And, after the watering is done and my computer surfing time is complete I will be back to hanging drywall. At least the experience is making the drywall process go faster, AND after I empty each bunk of drywall I get a "free" $85.00 sheet of 3/4" OSB tongue and groove sheet of plywood and 4 small dollies that I used to be able to roll the bunks around the garage. Actually I paid for them a couple years ago, but now their main job is over I have some OSB available for other projects. I guess I need to look into making a roof off the storage container to give the horse some shelter.
