I was kind of feeling Uck today to didn't plan on doing anything. After a while I felt the need to accomplish something, had a beer & thought about it. So I got my wife to help me take down 2 cases we had mounted on the way with crystal in them. I didn't even break something so that was nice. Then I cleaned them & have them drying. I've got them on a card table in front of the shelf I'm going to put them on. I'll begin that soon so at least I will have done something. Tomorrow I'll discuss what to put up on the empty spaces on the wall. That's about it.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, good thoughts and prayers. It all means so much to me and helps to soothe my soul. Guess you can say, you all are my Xanax. 😀

We’re home at the cabin. Dad actually drove the whole way—he does real good on the highways even at his age and it helped to keep him feeling vital. Dog didn’t puke on the ride up so things are looking up.

Water is down a lot here already. Just past the pine tree is about 15 to the summer’s edge of the lake.

Good you both are there. It's gotta be making you feel better. I always thought the farm was my happy place when we lived in New Mexico, and couldn't wait to get back here. Favorite cousin, her daughter, and I painted the kitchen and a small bathroom today. It was pouring rain and some hail outside, so no screen porch painting. Then we had lunch I made and watched a Wagon Train. Favorite cousin loved it. I took them home this afternoon and stopped in at the amish grocery. They had a good price on olive oil and coconut oil that came in, so I got a whole lot of both.

Today was more hunting in the garden. Found more elders and few pounds of potatoes. Pretty standards stuff.

What was interesting is learning about when @ThePrincess last day of work. She ordered to let them try to hire one or more replacements for up to 6 months. If they hire replacements earlier she will be done earlier. I urged her to give them a month then demand double the pay every month after. But she is too nice to do that. She has more than 40 years experience in Information Science Technology starting with mainframes and COBOL and dumb terminals for steno pools. Hard to replace that kind of experience.

But we have a hard date and I can start a count down timer.

182 days.

... Anyway, betting there's 20lbs of copper in each generator, wondering the best method for stripping it out. Days away from that, just need to pull them out of the brush then moved to the new and growing scrap pile for now... Oh, found a peach tree i didn't know i had, can see it, just can't get to it yet, more brush to clear.
I cut the windings off with an angle grinder then pry out the coil from the armatures.

Trying some behavior modification with the pup. The new collar...the beep doesn't bother him, but he does not like the vibrate function. So this can be good. The guineas were out in the rain, like they normal do, gamebirds don't care at all about the rain. Pup was out and got one of them...too wet to fly, almost killed it. So this can come in handy.

Why was Pup outside with those guineas...?!?
