first thing I told him this morning " you didn't bring any wood in last night" LOL
it wasnt i love you and thanks for the last 25 years together....you may need to move up to the $30 weekly double sunshine plan....you might be a challenge....lol

i tell ya...i think you can walk around saying i am pure sunshine all day long...look at me shine...farmer soldier and cooking like you do...!

just look at pearl...i bet when she tears out her driveway each more its like the sun rising each morning as it races across the plains of texas.

you are indeed awesome !
You take care of your husband ....I just make mine work LOL

yesterday we took care of the animals . I clean the barn, he dumps the wheelbarrows. I fill up the water buckets, he puts them where they go mostly ( I do the closer ones) . I feed the grain, he gets wheelbarrows of hay for them.
I cook, do dishes, he takes out garbage and brings in firewood. So I have no idea how you do all that by yourself....
Oh, he fixed some broken fence pieces too yesterday while I took Otto for a hike and collected starter wood
Thanks, and you're awesome, too, so you're in the club as well.

today we need to go shopping. Hope there are no problems with the sheep while we are gone. We are going to leave them in the barn and go early so I can still call the vet if there is a problem, but hopefully not. The most likely problem we usually have with the sheep having lambs is rejects. They have more than one or 2 and they don't want to feed them. I have colostrum replacer and milk replacer since it is just about impossible to milk these sheep. I also have some frozen goat colostrum from last year I can use.

so we are going to get our taxes, go to the Asian store to stock up ( right down the road from the tax people) , TP to get propane and some more fence pieces ( the little plastic pieces that attach to wood or t posts and hold the electric in place, not sure what they are called) , Aldi and probably walmart for some stuff Aldi doesn't have
You are making a day of it! I was thinking about you and your sheep and the weather...at the end of our road there was a couple raising show sheep that they sell for big bucks, always have a ton of sheep, and the husband did most of the work with them, and also was part owner of a big seed place here and wife helped with that. He died suddenly two years back, and they had another rental home a few miles away and their son and family moved from Arkansas to the rental to help out the mom. She's getting older, really should be using a walker, but doesn't and she slipped in this bad weather and broke her wrist. Anyway, I was thinking about tending sheep in the winter...her son and his wife go out and do the constant barn cleaning thing and the sheep in and sheep out and the babies are coming, too, and the both also have jobs in town. Lots of work for sure!

Just doing the regular stuff this morning, and need to finish up by 11, taking husband into the foot doc in the bigger town then. Maybe talk him into going to the bulk mennonite store in the other town on the way back...but it's close to lunch, his appt,...but they have really good deli sandwiches they make in there...so maybe!

I work for a couple who just got rid of Verizon! They had them for years and all of a sudden bad service
DH's phone (Verizon) quit working in the house about 2 weeks ago. We went in to the store and all he needed was a new sim card. The old one was knocking him off the service. It's worked fine since.
so you're in the club as well.
I want to be in the club, too!

The scrolling part of my laptop issues is fixed. One of the articles I found said to shut it down and turn it back on. Yesterday, it wouldn't let me shut it down. After sitting overnight, it is working this morning. Yay!

This morning, I will walk first.
Walk dogs.
Take laptop to repair fellow.
Shave DH's cheeks. I use the dog trimmer.
Take ebay photos finally, as my new battery came in and seems to charge ok.
Put labeled jars of spaghetti sauce away.
Make oatmeal for DH's breakfasts.

I don't want to carry my phone around , plus how would I get the music to my phone? Is there some way to get mp3 songs from a computer to a phone ?

After breakfast I'm going to take the tractor down and clear the snow and ice away from around our mail box. Right now it's so deep I'm worried the mailman will slide in to our box. Also need to clean out around our gate so it'll open all the way. Last week I ordered some heavy duty Bessey clamps and a couple cook books; 1 for making hot sauce and one for chili. They should arrive any day now.
I need to change oil in the tractor today too.

Yes, I use my file manager to drag and drop mp3's into the music folder on the phone's sd card. (phone connected to computer via usb charging cable). I can then play them with the phone's music player.

Or... I put music on my phone so I can transmit them to my bluetooth speaker when at a hotel or camping (or to my truck's radio when driving). The bluetooth speaker sounds much better than the phone's speaker. And... since I play along with these songs with my guitar I want the songs to play in a very specific order. So, before copying them to the phone I named the songs by key and numerical order, then song name... for example... I have 19 songs in the key of 'A', 13 songs in the key of 'B' etc...

samples
A 012 How Many Times
B 002 Where the Roses Never Fade
Bb 008 Get on the Main Highway
C 005 No End of Love

This way, I can select the first song in the key of B with the phone's music player, set my capo on my guitar then play along to 13 consecutive songs, then select another group of songs in a different key.

Here is how the songs appear in my phones sd card music folder viewing them with the computer file manager...

Occasionally, if driving a long distance and I can't find a good radio station, I can send these songs from my phone to my truck radio and play them through my trucks speakers...

Don’t think I’ll be making it into the little Miss Sunshine Club, but I’m doing my best today. Went with Dad to his cardiologist appointment. On the way home, we stopped at the nursery to pick up potting soil so I can transplant my broccoli and cabbage seedlings. Have to wait for one of the fellas next door to come home from work to bring a bag in for me.

I’m not used to this doing nothing stuff but I take it God wants me to slow down. My foot injury is actually helping my dad. He’s taking care of me so he now feels vital.

hope you shipped the Bessey clamps to my location, we wouldn't want them lost in all that snow and ice.

Almost forgot, yesterday I ordered some books. I picked out a couple on making hot sauce. Even though I make the world's best hot sauce now, I figured it wouldn't hurt to critique someone's else's. I always enjoy trying out other people's concoctions, some are actually pretty good too. It's just about time to start planting my supper hot pepper plants too. I bought enough seeds that I should have plenty of peppers to share with a few select pepper lovers.
Lady Locust husband would probably enjoy some.
I will be planting several kinds of hot peppers for hot sauce, pickles, salsa, pico etc.
I love spicy hot food.
Not so the Irishman.

We're warmed up to 20 degrees, too, at the moment, and it'll get above freezing this afternoon! Am more than ready to see some thaw out around here. Wind is rough though this morning. Dog ate two packages left on the porch, so I've been busy looking for parts in the snow. Argg.
Maybe your dog needs more fiber? He seems to like eating your packages.
Wrap a box for just him.

Well it's official now.
Estelle is selling Girl Scout cookies:
She's a Brownie or least that was what it was called when I was in Girl Scouts.
She's also signed up for Soccer camp in the Spring.
Yep, she's my grand daughter she told her Dad(my son) she wanted to lean shooting sports in 4 H too.
Course her step mom said "No" but both her parents said "YES".
So 4 H will be in my county where she lives.
Soccer camp is here in our hometown too.
Girl Scouts are in 2 counties, 1 where she actually lives.
The other where her Dad lives being he will be the one taking her to her activities.
Other news :
Reign will be in Kindergarten in August.
She's excited.

Just got back from working on the road, what a mess. When I left the house it was nice and sunny. Halfway back home it clouded up and started snowing. On one particularly bad spot the tractor wanted to slide down in to the creek. Got it out and continued on with no more real problems. It'll be a few more days before we'll be able to go anywhere. That won't be a problem, we have plenty of bacon and Spam on hand.
Got the latest Henry catalog in the mail!

You are awesome, Snappy. You are in. The password is AWESOME

made it back from the shopping trip, no lambs

went to a bunch of places , got almost everything I wanted, picked up taxes ( don't pay any as usual, but we have to prove we don;t owe any)_
Tired from shopping. Aldi shelves were missing a lot of stuff but I got what was missing mostly at walmart. Couldn't find Korean pepper flakes for kimchi, but I still have some and can order online

Took husband to the podiatrist and now his toenails are all beautified. He wasn't game for a deli sandwich, not on his diet, so I packed lunches and we ate in the truck after the doc. Then on to the Mennonite bulk store. Got a bag of wheat berries I need to put in buckets, got more good cheese and some flours and nuts. And they had a good deal on stainless steel mixing spoons. Always a fun store. Beautiful day out today, I'll be packaging food storage stuff. Maybe starting some seedlings, we'll see.
