The stock market shot up a thousand points the day after he was elected and I started looking at prices ever since...same as you.
As you say, gas appears to be going down. In 2019 it was $1.78 at my regular Highway station. Gas almost doubled to $3.89 three (3) months after Joe Bribem took office. It was still hovering around $2.89 in December.
Yesterday it was $2.39. Also, 5 of my regular grocery staples dipped below their last dollar mark yesterday. I never expected this kind of result so quickly. I thought perhaps next year. Dollar Tree items were a DOLLAR until Joe Bribem's administration. Dollar Tree is now/still $1.25. Now, if prices continue to drop (maybe not so much of a pipe dream anymore)... and Dollar Tree goes back down to it's name-sake, a DOLLAR, you will have to personally come to New Orleans and scoop me up from a pile of mush off the floor. It will be quite a shocking (but welcomed experience). Good talk.
