Rural China there was a board with each end held up by some rocks. The bus pulls over and everyone hits the board and does their business, mooning the field workers. There was the option of paying a guy with a hose to act as a bidet. No body cared until it was white butts on the board and then they practically sold tickets.

I guess this could go in the thread for most embar/assing moment.

White butts are the most beautiful on the planet. LOL

My rant is:
If money is the root of all evil,
Corporate greed is its flower.
and once the flower contracts the corruption of being political,
it is time to take an ax to it and burn it completely!

If you ever get to visit the Eiffel Tower, they have a "Uni-Sex" bathroom at the top of the platform. There are two open rooms, side by side, with one urinal and one toilet. Standing next to the bathroom is a toilet attendant, and since the crowd is quite large, he simply points to the next guest with a #1 or a #2, then directs the females to the toilets and most men to the urinals. It is so tight up there that the women must squeeze by you as you are doing your business. I just wonder how this toilet director is chosen for this job?
By thier uncanny ability to guess the correct gender.

Not a rant, y'all know I'm not big on ranting, since nobody wants to hear it, lol... this is merely an observation. Y'all know I've been killing these pesky wasps by the dozen lately, since some idiot neighbors are not addressing the problem of a HUGE nest on their property, right? Well, today I vowed to simply ignore the problem as I knocked out some kitchen rehab work... I think I swatted one wasp this morning at a birdbath while I was watering trees & plants, but that was it. 😒

Well, this afternoon, as my rehab work in the kitchen was winding down, a wasp flew up and landed on the kitchen window, then remained in place for well over an hour, just watching me as I finished up with the painting. Heat related, ya think? It was a scorcher today, probably 106* F, maybe 107* F, but I've never seen a wasp do this number... all of the birdbaths still had water in 'em too, which is weird. It was like the wasp KNEW I was in the kitchen, lol... 😳

So, whaddy'all think? Was it a "Hit Wasp" sent by the Stinging Mob, bent upon vengeance for the dozens of wasps I've swatted & killed lately with a rolled-up newspaper? Or the wasps I sprayed with poison as they were trying to establish new nests? Or was it just the odd "Psycho Magus Wasp" out to cause trouble? A little help here... it sure was weird seeing that wasp just hang out on the outer windowpane, perhaps looking in at me and watching my every move. 😬

I went outside this evening (before dusk) with a rolled-up newspaper in my pocket as usual, but the wasp didn't move as I went about my watering duties. I worked my way around the corner of the house, and time passed until I called it quits and came inside, yeah? I checked the window but the wasp was gone... if the crazy insect reappears on my property, I'm gonna BLAST IT with a 12-gauge shotgun, 00 Buck, lol. It's THAT or a restraining order, and we all know those are useless, lol. 😉

THAT'S MY "RANT" OR OBSERVATION FOR THE DAY, HOPEFULLY THE STALKER WASP DIES SOON, 10-4? 🤪

Wasps actually have a good memory, you could make peace and you'll never get stung, OR trash their nests and have enemies for generations. Now if you want to make your neighbors take care of things, shoot the nest with a BB gun while they're in the pool and run!

Mini-rant: damWalgreens! gaah
I needed 4 AAA energizer lithium batteries: ($14.40 on Amazon).
And 1 371 battery for my watch: ($1.85 on Amazon).
I decided to help some of the locals keep their job, so I went to Walgreens.
I knew they would be a little higher but hey, I would be helping out:thumbs::).
The AAA batteries - $22.99:oops:.
The 371 battery - $7.99:oops:.
I paid them a total of $34.06 for just those:(.
...So much for being 'a good guy'.

Since last week I’ve been looking for the title of the truck I sold. Finally went to the courthouse today and paid the $18 to get a new title. I can’t imagine where the old one is at. Like most I keep important papers in cheap fire safes. I’ve always been very organized (have to now because of cfs). But where did I put that title???? It’s not where it’s supposed to be!!! I have the letter from the bank when I paid off the truck loan in 1999, have the payment booklet too!!! I even have the bill of sale of another truck I sold in 1987!!!! What did I do with that 🤬 title?

Speaking of trucks… my ‘02 silverado has plastic side window deflectors. Being 21yrs old they are trashed, cracked, loose, 1/2 of one is missing. I found a replacement set at LMC Truck (great place for truck parts, especially gmc, chevy, ford, dodge)

Anyone tried removing old deflectors? The old adhesive strip is now a semi-permanent blob.

I got one off this evening using a wood chisel and ‘Goof Off’. Gf pro comes in a little 6oz can. It actually works well, just sloooooow.

The plastic just broke into chunks, easy. I had to be careful with the chisel, tedious and time consuming, took 2 hours. The paint underneath is also 21yrs old (truck could use new paint). I was careful to never touch the paint with metal.

The chisel took off the bulk of the glue. Then I used a paper towel and Goof off. It got dark so I’ll have to wait til morning to check my work closely. I can feel a couple little spots that need a little more tlc.

It's an ext. cab so now I have 3 more to do. Open to suggestions, anyone got a faster way? :dunno:

🤪

The local owned farm supply store near me has extra heavy duty fly swats. I killed a lizard with one! First hit! They'll make short work of a wasp.

Other wise I'd suggest the mini flame thrower of your choice. wd40 has a straw that shoots a precise flame. 🤣

+1 on that 'full-choke' red barrel on the WD-40 can .
Deadly accurate.
It is my go-to for wasps. No flame necessary.
Doesn't kill them instantly, but follow the ones that fly off...
None of them live for more than a minute.

When I lived in Kansas City, I lived fairly close to the Art Institute. They had movie nights and dances and some of my friends and I would go. They had one bathroom that was available, and the stalls had no doors on them.

If you have ever gone anywhere with children, they ALWAYS have to use the restroom, be it a restaurant, grocery store, retail shopping. Since I no longer have a child at home, I can't remember when the last time was that I used a restroom outside of my home. I will use one if I need to, but I always go before I leave the house and we seem to have strong or large bladders in my family. When we travel, it is usually around 3.5 hours between stops when we fill up with gas and maybe get some food. That is also restroom time. Every time I have ever traveled with anyone else, travel takes much longer because they need many more bathroom breaks than we do. And I think some people can't sit still for 3 + hours and the restroom is an excuse to stop.

Notebooks! I have a three ring notebook for one of my vehicles. I keep the title at the beginning in a plastic page and the service records in it with holes punched in them. I just got a new to me vehicle, and I need to get a notebook organized for it. Daughter also got a new to her vehicle and I handed her a 3 ring binder with some plastic pages to keep the records for it in there.

I use a heat gun to help loosen stickers.

Not a rant, but an update. They actually delivered my order to the post office on Monday. I was shocked. I do think the call from Amazon CS to catch them sending it the wrong way helped. My next order involving fedex I'm having sent to my friend's house so I don't have a hassle.

I recently sold my old swather, but this brought back memories of the day I picked it up. The dang yellow jackets had staked A claim to it!

The seller was an older gruffy farmer. He was so confident and enthusiastic about his method of dealing with the winged menace using cheap and readily available wd40. He couldn't wait to demonstrate.

It didn't go according to plan. He was shortly overwhelmed and running for relief! My accompanying party nearly died laughing!

Perhaps the bank failed to mail you the title when you paid it off?

Nope, i have two fire safes for important papers. One holds the originals, the other, copies of the originals, notarized when applicable. I have the copy of the title, just not the title. The copy isn't a legal document but... i know precisely what was written or printed on the original.

For many years I filled out expense reports each week or received a vehicle or other allowances that were taxable. I had to save receipts for everything. had a filing system to keep track of it all... i applied the same system to personal docs, bills. Once i moved ca once but spent most of that year working in tx, have to be organized to pay bills in another state. Old habits, still organized.

No, the title isn't where it's supposed to be. Why I removed it and didn't return it is the mystery, or have no memory of needing it for something... :(

It's only $18 to get a new title over there? It's $80+ here. I'm not handling the heat well. It's making me exhausted. And I have so many things to get done with little to no help. I still need to cut some weeds in the yard but I absolutely can't be out in this heat. I have some wasps to kill-- but I'll do it at night. I should go out and do that in a few minutes. They are under the eaves of both the house and the workshop. And the next I sprayed previously is coming back. I need to knock it down with a broom next time.

Ever notice something so nonsensical it deifies explanation? I have an extended cab silverado which has small rear doors. The so-called exterior door handle is broken, drivers side. The handle isn’t exactly exterior, it’s located between the front edge of the rear door and the rear edge of the front door. Can only be accessed with the front door open.

1) most sellers list the handles as left or right side. Right, Left, facing the truck from the front? Or facing the tailgate? No confusion there… duh!!

WHY don’t they list them as drivers side or passenger side? I guess that’d be to simple. One site had a diagram to show which side is left or right. Instead of a diagram... just label them accurately!!!

2) if that weren’t confusing enough… most sites sell the handles individually, around $25 ea. And these same sites sell both handles as a set… for $16.

(When listing the handles as a set the sites use the terms drivers side and passenger side to describe both, but not when listing them individually. 🤬)

So... I can buy both handles individually for $50 or both as a set for $16. Whats wrong with this picture??? Duh! I ended up thinking the price was some kind of misprint or mistake…

I ordered a set, guess I’ll find out what that means when they arrive.

I am amazed at the difference 100K makes in the houses you can look it. Frankly, I am kinda tired of looking, but SWMBO is on a mission. 2 Houses Saturday, one has potential , one is turnkey. I suppose we will see Saturday. I moved into a recactedhole more than once, I can do it again, but I prefer not too.
