Turkey has closed its straights to Russia, which is bad because 1) Turkey is a NATO member, and 2) closing straights like this is most likely an act of war.

Which means... friggin Turkroachs probably just unilaterally dragged the entire "free world" into war with Russia.

it's a treaty obligation on Turkey's part - they don't have much choice in the matter - it's been in force for both warring parties since the 1800s - just because Ukraine doesn't have much of a navy doesn't matter ....

Putin "releases" the nukes to the military and EACH of the generals, admirals or other officers may then use them according to their specific needs at a self-chosen time and according to the demands "of-the-moment" on the warfield...

Biden "releases" the nukes to the military and EACH AND EVERY RELEASED NUKE MUST BE FIRST:
1. be identified as needed
2. two person over-watch must be maintained
3. double verification to access the secret codes must be given
4. two person access to each of the secret codes must be achieved.
5. two person programming of the secret codes must be performed
6. last minute verification for release of each nuke must be performed
7. two person release of each nuke must be performed

The time involved to release nukes in each country is greatly differenciated between "release" and detonation...

If the "nukes" are on a submarine, it must be near the surface of the ocean, it must be contacted with a laser communications satellite using different colored lasers to match the color of the particular ocean where the sub is located so the laser can penetrate the water without being weaked by the wrong color, the sub must go thru the same entire process, rise to "release" level in the water and then release the nuke in the same method.

Each nuke is different, fission, fusion, fission/fusion, uranium (seldom), plutonium, (seldom) iridium gas, (usual) or other material depending on the size of the warhead, type of warhead and type of delivery.
MRV capability (multiple re-entry vehicle) have been long used to correct "possible" near-misses, by simply dropping several nukes from the same re-entry vehicle in order to "blanket" the entire area at once and not just a direct target.
