My Wife is in the Philadelphia Veterans Day Parade... riding a float commemorating Women in the Military.

So, I drove her down at zero dark thirty to meet friends from the same group and they all went down to the parade together to rendezvous.

My job is to capture the Local TV coverage on DVR...the parade starts off @ 1230 EST.

Most of the morning spent cleaning up the leaves on the porch, deck and two vehicles...then ran errands.

Loaded the Jeep for Election Day which is easier than tomorrow morning in the dark.

Posting on my favorite forum now...

I'm hoping to get the 1 dog house partition put in and start on painting the other 1. If my neighbor happens to want to move the furnace out of the garage today then I might be doing that too,not sure when he's going to want to do it. I was told by my insurance company I have 2 weeks to get it out of there or they'll cancel my insurance. It would be fine in the house or in a basement but it can't be in the garage,WTHeck? I told my insurance guy I didn't know if I could do it that quick so they said as long as it was unhooked to the point it couldn't be used that they wouldn't cancel it yet. We got it all unhooked Saturday and my neighbor's trading me an electric furnace for it. I'm loosing my ass on the deal but at least I'll have insurance. It doesn't make sense to me how they don't want a corn/wood pellet furnace in there because of the gas/exhaust fumes but a propane 1 is fine.....uh,they both have flames in them, duh.:Bart:

Recovering from the raucous GOP party last night at the local VFW...where all the poll workers and local officials watched the election results come in...It was awesome to see the Conservatives pickup seats in the Senate...and score big time in the Governor races...as well as some local race pickups here in Pennsylvania.

Friggin' pissed to see them Liberals get the chance to obstruct our President's Agenda and hold this country in limbo for the next two years while they waste our hard earned taxpayer dollars running around with their wigs on fire and inflict this great nation with their obstructionist agenda of burning down the past two great years of peace and prosperity for the sake of their liberal socialist hate filled agenda.

WTHeck !!!

Where the hell were all those damn people who packed the stadiums cheering Trump when it came to voting to preserve his plan for more prosperity ...!!?? It's gonna be two years of bologna because they didn't bring out the VOTE !!!

Anyway...It was my first election cycle as duly appointed Abington Township Constable of Elections...so that went well.

With the rain then high winds from yesterday...spent the whole morning rustling leaves and picking up more dead wood.

But, the Fall colors were magnificent and the blower made the work easy...

Gonna go eat lunch and scream at the TV...

See ya later...

God Save Us from the Liberal Onslaught...

Morning all. Just returned from 2 weeks in Paris, France. I'm now going through cases of mail and political propaganda, there is dead fruit on the ground, dirty clothes mountains in the hallway, and no food in fridge. Aren't vacations fun?

Well, all the yard work I did yesterday was back again this morning...like it was never done.

So...I went back out and rustled them around again. And the trees still look full.

Ah...the price you pay to live in paradise.

I'm willing to pay it !!

:D

Hope you had a nice time Mark...

The Wife and I really don't care for the Parisians...and She likes everybody, even Democrats !!

Gonna be offline for a couple of days. Had a basil cell carcinoma removed from the back of my neck. 17 stitches and is gonna be sore if I bend my head up or down.

Too much sun in the desert and jungle on the back of my neck.

Back later.

Get well soon.
Better off than on.
My FIL has had several melanomas cut off of the top of his head.
That stuff used to kill people.
He went bald when he was in his 40's and never wore a hat in south Louisiana.
He's 84 and doing great even though the top of his head looks like the lunar surface.
Hell, we ain't that pretty anymore, anyway:rolleyes:.

Well...I'm in mourning.

My 18 year old Hitachi Plasma TV...according to the cable guy...has finally bit the dust. No explosions or dramatics...just didn't come on last Thursday night...after watching it Thursday morning. Thought something was wrong with the primary box, or some other thing to do with the cable company. They wanted to come Friday, but the wife and I were attending a wedding at the time they wanted to make the appointment. So, Saturday at 0830, the guy comes and does some tests...and after 15 minutes of checking everything, pronounces it's my TV.

Well, I didn't take that as gospel, so he calls in his field supervisor. He says the same thing. Yea...it's not our equipment, it's your TV.

Bull ****...Now I'm pissed. Gonna hafta figure a way to set it up off of cable and get a picture to come on. Guess I gotta get one of those antenna things so I can grab a signal outta the air...like we use to do back in the day...and see if it will work.

That, or buy a new TV.

****...I love that TV.

Picture was like you were there...clear / crisp / great sound....nothing wrong with it at all...until it just doesn't come on...
a few hours after I just watched it.

Unbelievable.

/rant.

I got 2- 43" Samsung 4K UHD TV's about 2 weeks ago.:great:

Still reading these threads on my 2008 Samsung 22" monitor. It runs about 8 hours a day and still looks brand-new:D.
Big fan of Samsung. A little more expensive, but totally worth it to not buy crap.

(the question is, which one of us is going to hold Shooter's hand during the funeral for his beloved Plasma?)

Thanks, but I'm over it...I think I got my $2000 worth out of it over that 18 years.

I've had the same Samsung clam shell cell phone since 2010, so I've already starting looking at that brand.
