Had a lovely meal last night as a takeaway, (had a voucher) but nearly gave my husband a stroke when he heard how much they charged for his Philly Cheesesteak!
Tonight I'm back in the kitchen - chicken curry and a small Lasagne from the freezer for the one person in the house who doesn't eat curry. As a rule here you eat what you are given, but even as a child he didn't like it, and has tasted it regularly 'just in case', but nope.

As a person who only cooks for myself, I tend to make freezer meals a lot so that I can stretch what I cook to not only save on wasting any food but also to save money on groceries. I cooked some beef and vegetables in green curry sauce last night with pasta. Was able to make a good amount of freezer meals with it. Since I had a lot of eggs, I made some eggs and bacon biscuits to put in the freezer for days I am really busy. Am going to cook some hamburger steaks today with mashed potatoes and vegetables tonight. Going to make some plates up for freezer with the extra. Only have to cook a few days a month. Saves a lot of time on cooking and saves money on groceries.

Cheesesteak! Lovely idea!! I'll be heading to Willie's. his cheese steaks are 20$, comes with five pounds of fries, and feeds 3 people!

That's great for summer! I will make extra fajita fixings tonight, leftovers tomorrow, freeze a bunch too! I love to cook, but it sure is nice to have stuff in the freezer for "those" days!

I love to cook too, but cooking for one person is not easy. I am used to cooking for a large family. I used to work as a nanny where I cooked for the families. Now I just cook for myself. But when we have family gatherings, I still do a lot of the cooking. A lot of work but I love it.

Ran our crawdad traps had enough for a boil.

Today, I'm making 7 pounds of BBQ'ed Tri Tip. So far, there seems to only be 3 of us for dinner, and one is a vegetarian. With the death of my sister in law, nobody feels like celebrating, but they say they "MAY" come over, and why I will be cooking all day....but I know it will be a quiet house with enough meat to serve a small army.
