I was REALLY LAZY last night. I heated up a can of Bush’s baked beans and put little weenies in it. Of course I heated up some frozen Normandy vegetables for a touch of health. My son asked if we felt like a couple of 5 year olds.

Today a pasta & sauce dish with chicken, salad greens, etc. bread, fruit. Taking same dinner to friends from church.

We haven’t really been eating supper but I found some shoulder bacon that is (err was) great. We had BLTs for lunch and now Hubby had jalapeño poppers in the oven using “early flame” variety peppers.

Leftover meatloaf and a grilled chesse sammich. Wife made a blueberry cobbler (called a lazy womens pie) yesterday. Finished it off tonight

How do you make mince pie? Is it just a pie crust with hamburger and veggies? Or? I’m not trying to be a snark. I’ve seen “mince pie” so many times it must be a “norm” but not over here- so I’m curious.

Grilling some steaks. Probably grill some freshly picked onions and Pablano peppers. Fresh dug taters and garlic and fresh maters and cukes. All picked in the last hour.

We are going to a local restaurant. Meeting another couple, and then going on to watch fireworks. If there is a merciful God they will still have meatloaf on the menu. I get it every time we go to this place, and always enjoy it. The odd thing is that it is a complete meal; meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a salad, and it costs less than a hamburger, and they don't scrimp on the portions. Go figure.
