Tonight we had lentils, it was one of our canned quick meals and with a little corn bread it really hit the spot.

Homemade smoked hot dogs and split pea soup with smoked ham hocks. I love smok'in season. It goes well with cooler weather.

We are going to grill a bunch of burgers tonight! It's SO HOT outside we thought we wouldn't heat up the kitchen. We will wait until about 8pm when it's getting dark! Will probably freeze half of them!

That's what I do. Except I do a variety and freeze some of all.

It was my dad’s 75 birthday today we made pulled pork with the fixings and a peach pie I bet weighed close to 20 pounds.

Mom came home from the hosp today. Wasn't enough room in their fridge for the foods people brought, some of it is in mine now. I had okra, peas, mashed taters, meatloaf, dumplings... and a small bowl of my chili.

I cooked for dad all week, he doesn't like asian or stirfry... or anything spicey or 90% of what i usually make. Yesterday i made chili so tame the pot was bored. He did like my deep fried, bacon wrapped hotdogs though.

We had a family get together for my Nieces 25th birthday. We had Chili and hot tamales.

I put a roast in the crockpot this morning, and we had roast beef taco salad for supper.
