I've been keeping somewhat of a eye on it.on account it's nothing to worry about yet.I hope it dont turn into a hurricane.but yet.we do need the rain..

Keeping an eye on the Gulf....NOAA says we have a Tropical Storm (90%+ chance) heading straight for us, and out over the Gulf waters these things have the nasty habit of becoming early season hurricanes.

Planted 2 apple trees and got my tower garden up and running. Next year I will use my own seedlings. It's a pain to buy seedlings and then have to clean off dirt before putting in tower. Planted a couple zucchini and tomatoes in containers in greenhouse. Small garden this year. I'm training for a couple bike races and just don't have the time. Discovered an unknown prep I have. The wife stores cases of rubbing alcohol here for her job. Did not know that. I have an alcohol stove. Score. :D

Had my four day weekend plan out a few weeks ago. Wife is a last minute planner.

Last night wife says we have a funeral (distant family) to attend Saturday mid morning. There goes half the day. Cleaning gutters and mowing my yard, what doesn't get done I can maybe squeeze into my Monday plans.

Monday. Permanent repairs to mom's house roof, mount the TV antenna while I'm up there and mow her lawn. OH? Wife had planned on me helping move her garage sell stuff from her mom's to a friends garage (her mom is selling her house and the wife's "stuff" needs to be removed.. It will only take most of the day and then I can do whatever I had planned.

Went to the hospital to have daughters ER info from the other night sent to the endocronologist. The copy they gave me said she was showing no symptoms, just didn't feel right, and doesn't show that they gave her 2 tubes of meds through the iv. I SAW the nurse give 2 different size tubes of meds. One was a small tube (+-10ml) of something the, other was a large +-30ml) tube of glucose. I really dislike this hospital......

I tend to wonder if the employees are inept or just don't care. I see this so often. I know that I am responsible for my own health care! Did you let them know that you saw the drugs being administered?

Terri, Hope your daughter is ok real soon. :huggs:
I ALWAYS investigate anything they want to do to us. I seldom go to doctor. I'm healing my skin cancers on my face with lime. It does as good as freezing them off.
Of course there are times to go to doctor of course. Doctors don't like me,imagine that.:D

Just another day, nothing special going on. Kind of quiet around here since Mrs. Squirrelhunter went rummage saling with her friend but I'm fine with it. I took a couple shots at a target with the 35 Rem pistol and a couple more with the 44 mag pistol, would've been 4 dead deer if that's what I was shooting at ;) .

Blanching carrot rounds and filled up the dehydrator. Cooking chickens, shredding the meat, freezing. 4 down, three more to go. And that'll be the last of the Cornish we raised. Sold some baby chicks last night. Put out a sign for eggs, chicks, and young chickens. Hopefully will sell some more. A friend brought me some homemade flour tortillas. Excellent with melted butter. Granddaughter has her girlfriends over and they just made pizzas. Grandson is having a difficult time finding something to do that is not bothering the girls.

Trying to survive the heat wave here. The humidity is crazy, 92 ° and 45%. It's like a sauna outside. Did a minor bit in the garden this morning. Pulled my beets which didn't really make like last year.
Hubs and I are in the process of trying to decide if and when we will sell our home (due to his health issues) and where we may relocate.

IMO I decide the location first then sell the home. I hear you never know about a place till you spend a little time there. Of course we can always adjust I guess.
When we first moved here I thought we moved to hell. We were in tents without power till power company came to run it to our property.

Guns going off continously when your in a tent is no fun, called cops and Deputy Dawg pulled up, spit a wad of bacca at my feet [ no lie ] and said " a man hassa git his aim". I ran back up the driveway called hubby and told him WE ARE MOVING, TONIGHT !!!

We adjusted and joined the gun club.:doghouse:

Moving under those conditions is not going to be easy for y'all. Do you have help?

I called the doc and told them. I haven't been back o the hospital yet. They also don't have any of her symptoms showing. This hospital has a horrible reputation but its the only one in almost 70 miles.

I hate to think like this because I go to a doctor as infrequently as possible too, @Meerkat , @NannyPatty @Terri9630 ...but I guess as we age we need to consider how near we live to a decent hospital.

And of course this one is true too. Some things we can't fix no matter how hard we try. Last person who needed an ambulance here was gone 45 minutes before it arrived.. So best hope you have a good driver in case of emergency. :)
I have been known to do some work on myself. I have laid on floor and put muscles and intestines back inside my tummy after a C-section and taped it up and took buss with 3 babies to ER in 1971. And socked a couple of my toes back in place and snatched the bones back together in 2008. Foot turned black so I went to ER but doc said I did a good job setting the bones.:D Hubby ran with he cats when I screamed.
