I honestly don't know how you do it!! How old is she??

About 1 and a half years old.
I did mention that my gut feeling is she's mentally damaged - as in retarded in the real sense.
She might still have some spaz puppy tendencies, zero attention span, mixed in with serial killer moments mixed complete focus, selective hearing mixed with some extremely soft cuddle bunny moments.
Not once has she shown any sort of aggression with me at all..In fact I can take food or bones out of her mouth when she's eating and when I scold her she winces.

She's inbreed to the eyeballs and it shows in all her physical and hormone issues.
I think it's the root cause of mental issues as well because I believe she has a form of canine retardation.
I'm not just saying she's a dumb dog.

The dog was in her crate but if a 35kg pitbull wants to get out of a crate - even a heavy duty wire crate, she will..and she does.

you need something goat proof !
But I am surprised, even our much larger livestock dogs don't try to destroy the crates (they only go in when they have to go to the vet in the back of the truck)
good luck!
but wait....our Rose ( one of the livestock dogs, 120 lbs or so) broke the window in the barn to get out at night. It was chicken wire with some pieces of wood nailed across. She broke a corner of the window and escaped through a little section between the frame and boards The goats don't even do that. We put hardware cloth and more boards on that window. It was ok, she only went into the pasture ( it was a bad weather night and the goats were in, so I put her in the barn also, she is usually out) The other one , Axel never jumps over anything. I think he's too big. He hurt himself on the fence once trying, maybe that's why.
Maybe build one with 2 x 4s and hardware cloth ?

Had to go in to work at 3AM again. Once more, we did a little prep work for about an hour and then found out there was a derailment near Omaha last night and Corridor decided to re-route the trains to the subdivision we're working on. There are 12 westbounders stacked up on the main line, waiting to go. So I doubt we'll get on the tracks today. Looks like we'll have to be here until Sunday now...

Thanks. I don't know what granddaughter's schedule is today, but grandson will be at work. I'm guessing granddaughter will not be home, and if she is, she will not speak. Except to say good morning and good night, and is recording a response. No one said that they had to be here, though. We just had our daughter here for a number of days, and I have a lot of catch up work to do, so not looking forward to this. I remember when the twins first were coming to live with us, and the inspect was every inch of our house, so I hope that this is not like that.

How long does the seal last? Are they hard to open?
I can't remember this post. Was it about the vacuum sealer lid?
Small town
I love small town rodeos! Went to one in Ft. Pierre one time and it was great!
as in retarded in the real sense.
That's what we think about Oreo. He has such a big scar around his neck that we think he was oxygen deprived for who know how long. He gets the zoomies like that pit bull too.

Going to walk in a few minutes.
Take DH to doc appt 40 miles away.
Hit salvage grocery on the way back.
Harvest in garden once home.
Bible study this evening.

After the usual chores, and some job applications, spent the day cooking. Tomato and courgette soup, almond slices, two raspberry and white choc loaf cakes for the freezer and some fresh guacamole - have some friends coming over tonight so making some munchies. Having a problem with my ankle so may sit up for a while with some knitting.

She’s probably suffering from some separation anxiety when you had your treatment. I had a dog ones that have that. I was his fourth owner in 18 months. He would tear up my house something awful. I finally put him on puppy Prozac, Clomacalm, and that really did help him. I had him on it less than a year. He came off it just fine.

Having an excavator bring over some topsoil and gravel to take care of some erosion spots on the edge of the property. I’d hate to slip into the St. Lawrence.

I need a new windscreen on my car!

I drove past a dump truck that had left a gravel quarry and it rained down rocks the size of golf balls over my car.
I have two big stars and a crack that runs from the seal at the top of the windscreen, runs down for 8 inches and does a big U-turn and is heading back up towards the top of the windscreen.
Luckily these blemishes aren't in my field of vision.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the licence plate number for the truck and I don't have comprehensive insurance so I have to pay for a new windscreen and get it fitted myself.
The tricky thing is these blemishes in the windscreen make the car unroadworthy and if the police pull me over I'm getting a fine for having it out on the road.

I rang around and the best quote for a windscreen with fitting and a new seal was $477 AUD and if I book it in now I can get it done in early August. I think that's fair because it's a 2005 model car and who the heck carries glass for a car that old in their day to day inventory?

I'm going through ANOTHER period of testing because I've had another lot of bad news that I'm not ready to talk about yet.
Not sure if it's different over there, but if you know the name of the gravel company, their insurance should pay for it. Might ask your insurance agent about it. You should only have to pay if you are at fault. My ins. gal said those trucks pay quite bit for windshield (windscreen) repair/replacement because they get those claims, just part of the job.

I believe they need a warrant to do that??? Prayers it's short and sweet.
@hashbrown Hubby has a '72 CJ5 not quite that pretty. It's the rig he and his twin bro went home from the hospital in. He's in the process of restoring it back closer to orig. His dad did some odd things to it and jerry-rigged a few things 🤪

No, child protective services does not need a warrant to do a house inspection. In my opinion, they should need one, but they don't. I'm ready for them, and the lady did not give a time, but I'm ready to get it over with. I did leave a message asking what time, but no call back yet. Husband just left for the bigger town for PT on his shoulder. Granddaughter is out to lunch with the boyfriend, grandson at work. Just little granddaughter and I. I would rather be getting the meat chickens ready in a bigger cage in the milkhouse, but guess I better find inside work to do in the kitchen.

The hot water & Epsom salts worked wonders on the swollen hand, thing feels pretty good today, though the finger is still a bit stiff. That was a weird reaction, coming from a lousy bee sting, but I guess I rubbed my itching hand too hard and aggravated the old injury, go figure. Meh, it's now on the wane, but this month hasn't been so hot for health issues, lol... first it took me 8 or 10 days to get rid of that pesky summer bug, now my hand is recovering from a weird episode of swelling. Oh, well, these things happen, I'm just gonna take it easy for another day to make sure the hand has settled down... I already watered the trees & plants (no rain yesterday, chance of showers today), and I stocked up on food with another shopping run. There don't seem to be many shortages lately, and fuel even dropped to $3.68 per gallon of regular unleaded. Gonna be another warm day, guess I'll be chillin' like a villain in the A/C, hate to think what my next electric bill is gonna look like...

Today shed work focused on moving a storing the burlap. Years ago I invested in bulk burlap in the form of rolls and various sized bags. In the event we have to grow all our own food having a pile of burlap bags for food storage would be a food prep. Also for wrapping young trees to over winter.

I had to separate by size and fold them all but that pile that was in the corner...

And stored in an orderly fashion on shelves in the shed.

I have to figure out how to store a pile of baskets. I don't want them on a shelf because I want to preserve shelf space for gas cans. Something to think about this evening. I don't want them on the floor. Maybe figure out how to hang them from the roof?

I know I have been working in the shed a lot lately but this work was prompted by a need to clear the back porch The Princess wants me to convert to a greenhouse.

Nobody said anything worthwhile is straight forward or easy. ;)

Glad you're feeling better Wingnut, and our electric bill was $600 this month. Highway robbery.
Still waiting for the state to come out. But husband is home now, so I think I'll go outside and do some more animal work and he can call me on my cell if they call him and I can wash up and not look like a hick. Hey, Ben, I store baskets on nails in the wall. I use baskets for a ton of things, and do not use shelf space for them. I did cook a couple of pork loins and got them in the freeze dryer. Did my couple of hours morning to do stuff outside. Got my seeds out to start fall garden stuff. Four loads of laundry done and hung, cleaned house. Started packaging another 5 gallon pail of mac and cheese. Gave my husband the list of the seven firearms we own. Monday is looking busy with a lawyer appt for husband and I and family therapy at the house in the evening. Tuesday is court. Thursday the twins have trauma therapy. So tomorrow is still open, and I hope it stays that way. Unless of course, this inspector does not show up today.

As I read your query as to what to do with the basket, my thought was Hang 'em. It's always a great way for baskets & they are light. Looking forward to seeing the greenhouse 😇

I'd be surprised if they show up this late! Probably get off work at three!!

Worked at home this morning, then went to the lab at 10. Back home at 3, had to stop by the credit union, pharmacy, and post office. Then had to take wife to her hair cutter to get her hair washed. Haven't got a good way to do it at home with her hand in the cast.
Worked out in the garden after got home from there. My butt is dragging
