Good call.on not driving medicated.

Hope the shoulder gets better...

Thank you.

I'm due for shoulder fusion soon.
Actually both shoulders are going to be fused but not at the same time.

We're all hopeful that the surgeries will not only stablise the joints so they won't dislocate
but will also go a long way towards reducing my pain levels.

So far today we are freezing our watooties off that is as far as we have got and sitting in front of the slow combustion fireplace drinking hot chocolates :) . DH has got the drip irrigation system going on the front gardens, turned on the electric hot water system to heat up and brought the bin in that was emptied.

@Tank-Girl get better soon and take it easy till the shoulder goes back in place properly and the pains subsides :huggs:

Thank you.

It's not feeling like it does after a "normal" dislocation and relocation.
I'm terrified I've pinched a nerve and I'll have to present myself
to the local abattoir that masquerades as a base hospital ED.

There's a very good reason WHY I drive 2+ hours to go to another hospital.

I demolished the old Deck , about 3 weeks ago,

The guy just called and said he was coming to get my new deck built today....

I'm happy, but the heat and humidity next several days is gonna be BRUTAL.

WE have 2 GKs today,

I want to go look at this an hour away ,
Suppose to be in excellent condition, mfg 1938-1947, $150

Prayerfully the correct diagnoses is forthcoming. Keep us all posted.

Been watching Rifleman all morning,
So blast furnace hot outside I may take a look at my new deck , but quickly.

Very nice design and work!

Busy day ... out with the dog, off to church, find that our guests had showed up way before check in time, they left some stuff with the neighbour and went out sightseeing. The farmer who supplies our eggs wasn’t at church so he and his family dropped by for a bit. They left and some reps from a German tour company stopped by for an unexpected visit. They left and our guests came back and checked. Just got them in and unexpected visit from old friends from the big city. In between i5 all talked to my sons for Father’s Day. Everyone has left, our guests are settled and and now we can relax... aaaaaaahhhhhhhh

Girls came Saturday for Fathers Day. 17 of us this time. Organ at church this morning after Sunday School. Took a short nap after lunch and then pruned my spent canes off my berry vines, and hauled off full truck load of vines. My Marine grandson called to talk to his Pappy to wish him happy Fathers Day. Stationed too far west of us and miss him. May have some leave time coming in August after graduation from school. Last time we saw him was graduation from boot camp in Feb. so proud of all 15 of my grands.

Did a phone appointment with my physio in the Big Smoke over the phone.
Found out my hip and knee surgeon didn't refer me to the chronic pain specialist like I asked.

If they can't get on top of my pain now what the heck is it going to be like after surgery when the sedation wears off.

These people need a day walking in the shoes of their patients.

After we thawed out this morning I went out and restocked the kindling from under the house and DH brought 2 wheelbarrows of firewood from under the house and passed it up to me on the veranda and I stacked it on the fire rack on the veranda. We then had some pork sandwiches for lunch and some fruit.

When we finished lunch we went out and got the dried sage off the front veranda and separated that and chopped it making another 74 g we have in stock which I have listed on the internet along with 8 more handcrafted items. DH went and loaded up 2 more loads of sweet potatoes and washed them and put on the steamer pot full of water to boil while I made up the lemon juice solution to dip them in. Once cooked we peeled them, dipped in lemon juice solution and packed them making another 16 more meals in the freezer, only 20 to go.

I then went out into the back gardens and watered half of the 9 x 2mt garlic and beetroot garden bed with the vegetable washing, blanching and cooling water and then we packed the dried sage and watermelon seeds we sold on the internet. DH then got the fire going in the slow combustion stove where we are sitting now warming up yet again as the winds have been cold and icy all day.

Friday mowed the lawn after I got home from work. Reminded the wife of the plans I had for the Saturday and Sunday. She reminded me that Sunday is Father's Day. Father's Day she normally takes me out at the restaurant of her choice (after she says, "No. I'm not eating there" when I pick) and I pick up the tab. Her CC are maxed out.

Saturday. Participated in a firearm competition. Overall I placed in the middle of the pack and 2nd in my division. Evening, spent the time with mom. Home to unload the truck from the competition, reloaded the truck for Sunday. Chicken chores. Fixed my supper. Long cool shower to soak up moisture I had sweated out earlier. Read a bit then headed to bed.

Sunday. Participated in a different firearm competition. Finished almost at the bottom and didn't place in my division. Had a blast. Home to unloaded the truck, chicken chores and fix something for my supper. Youngest son face-timed to wish me a Happy Father's Day. Another long cool shower to soak up moisture I had sweated out at the competition. Read a bit then headed to bed. Before dozing off I mentality whet through the reasons why really I should go to work Monday.

Monday. Went to work.

Yesterday, did next to nothing besides Church. Today, ran to Post office and local grocery. Wrote an eBay draft and then had to cancel it because I found a couple of spots I had missed. Baking chicken tenders and french fries for dinner. Try again tomorrow!

Had worked. Got my fingerprints done for concealed carry. Renewed our business license for the year and sent in our inspection request for Children Youth and Family annual licensing (and money, of course). Mailed off new employees fingerprint info and security info for approval. Tired of paperwork! Repotted some tomato plants and a large pepper plant in big tubs. Moved baby chicks around, cleaned out brooders. Am currently watching a baby turkey trying to hatch. He's got a shell line about 1/4 of the egg width and is peeping. Have turkey and duck eggs in the incubator, day 27.

Took oldest in for bloodwork. 22 and can't face a needle by herself with out having a major panic attack. Stopped at the goodwill store on the way home and found 1 lonely pt jar. They wanted $2 for it! I asked if the price was right and they said yes., it would have been $1.75 but it came with a ring too.o_O

No way I'm paying $2 for a single jar when I can get a dozen for $9. That's insane. I've told y'all before, canning jars are never on sale here and even yard sales are ridiculous. I saw people pay brand new prices for boxes of jars at an auction. Just plain jars too, not colored or fancy ones.

I quit looking at second hand stores for mason jars as they always want twice as much for an old jar as a new one with ring and lid.

I had time to waste before the place we wanted to go for lunch was open and decided to stop and have a look. I'd never been in in a goodwill store before. Probably won't go back either.

There are some good prices at Goodwill but just never on mason jars.

Started off the morning with freezing our watootsies off yet again as it reached a whole 3.4 oC with cold icy winds so more closer to 0 oC with wind chill factor. A few hot chocolate were had with water heated on the slow combustion fireplace.

After we thawed I stain removed some clothing and put on a load of washing and hung it on the clothes line and DH put on a load of washing in the washing machine and hung out his load on the clothes line. DH then washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I washed them and put them away and swept the kitchen.

Out into the front yard where we picked a huge bunch of thyme and put them on a mesh screen to dry on the front veranda.

Into town where we posted the dried sage and pumpkin seeds we sold on the internet and purchased some stamps and went to the hardware store to get some more gumboots for me and some jute string. We heard that a department store in town (Target) was clearing out all of their store as they were changing all of their clothing and layout to suit a younger demographic. They certainly did have some wonderful clearance sales and fantastic discounts and we took advantage of them. We purchased a PS4 game for DH for $19 , 2 flannelette shirts for DH after finding them finally in the right size to fit him, 2 pairs of 3/4 length pants for $7 ea, 2 dresses for $5 ea, a pair of sandals for $5, 12 tall glass tumblers for the kitchen for $10 and 3 bags of glucose lollies for $95 saving $163 on usual prices. I knew I would eventually get some 3/4 pants for under $29 a pair  and I am a patient woman and will keep looking until I find the right price on everything.

Then ran out of time to do the front garden fertilising but will do this tomorrow along with picking, blanching and freezing some more silver beet. We did bring the washing in off the clothes line and will fold it up tonight.

Got up at 4am, had hubby packed and out the door for work. Have a load of dishes in the dishwasher and now drinking another cup of coffee parusing the internet. Have to water all my containers this morning early. Looking at radar we might get some rain for the raised beds. Have to watch it otherwise tomorrow morning I'll have to water those. Heat wave is still going on this week. Indexes are near or above 100. You walk outside this morning its like a dryer with the hot wind blowing in the rain (hopefully).
I plan on going through my closet to see what I want to donate to the thrift store. ( get a receipt for taxes don't ya know)
Have all the fixings for taco salads for today's supper. With the heat I have to come up with cool meals. Yesterday I made potato salad and grilled some sausages
