I've decided not to cut my beard or trim my hair anymore, I will continue to bathe however. I'm pretty sure I'll be headed back to the creek as soon as I can get another generator and rent some solar cells. All I've got done for the last week is answer phone calls and deal with other people's problems for them and I don't even have a damned cell phone!
What's at the creek?

I had a fantastic day!
Took the dog on a long walk. He got the zoomies, splashed in the little creek.
Then I picked a 5 gal bucket of free apples off the trail. Trees are loaded this year..plubs, apples, pears crabapples elderberries..its a good year this year.
Then I hit the thrift shop for a sec. Fund a old antique looking metal forest service kinda green oil lamp with a intact glass n a wick still in it for $ 1.99!
Score!
Then I got a few groceries, came home n put the garden to bed for the winter. Picked up all the plant beds n area dollies, mowed the tall grass in the garden area without starting a fire n rodatiller the garden. All I need to do is finish spreading straw n compost over it for winter marinating.
Laundry, trimmed my rooster, Cpt. Jack beak n my oldest hen Miss Sweets. Dyed two sheets for rug making , one choco Brown n one dark brown. The choco Brown one was leftover dye ..so it's not enough..but tomorrow I'll dip it in the dark brown leftover dye. I'm guessing it will be a beautiful swirly milk n dark choco color.
Well see.
I've got a crock pot of chickie noodle soup going n a adult beverage to sippy on.
Gotta catch up on news now..

My brain is not wanting to cooperate to remember who said what.
Sorry to hear about vehicles being wrecked but glad the girl was ok.
Pearl, I hope your brother will be OK (I can remember some from this page).
Sonya, that sounds awful. I hope your shoulder gets feeling better.
I'm tired. Yesterday was my birthday but there was no celebration. Mom didn't remember until later in the evening. Brother didn't remember at all. My sister actually remembered this time though. I met with my friend to fill his car up with gas before prices go up more. Grabbed McDonalds and went home. Cooked for Mom and went to bed. Got woken up for my sister's phonecall. Then my stomach didn't like me and felt like it was in knots. Slept for awhile and then woke up this morning. Yesterday and today I attempted to remove stains from my floor again. No joy.
Today I managed to get my speakers & desk tray adhered to the desk (put doublesided sticky tape on the velcro adhesive side where it detached). Hopefully that will stay. I'm staying hydrated and browsing the internet but will probably take a nap soon. Still feeling tired.
Happy Birthday♥️

Peace. isolation. a few other things I only mention because everyone thinks I'm nuts. the only reason I came back was because of the riots/election. family first after all.

Writing, reading, more writing- final year in college, so I have a portfolio to produce as well as 'homework'. Sunday dinner around two, and hoping to get some knitting done for a shop I supply. Don't think much is being sold though. OH is off to archery and the weatherman says there is a storm on the way. Lit the potbelly stove in the kitchen for the first time since last March, and popped some rice pudding on it

he can't live at home anymore
I'm sorry about your dad! I hope he will take the transition well!
my brother is back in the hospital.
I'm so sorry about your brother, Pearl! Have a safe trip!
Moving date is 10/28!
Yay! We mostly had good luck in RV parks for the 9 years we lived in them and traveled. we always asked for the slip farthest away from other campers. Mostly for the better view. It will be so nice when you get oved in!
Yesterday was my birthday
Happy belated Birthday! I'm sorry it was missed.

Today will be Church, then Family Dollar looking for ingredients for a chex mix for Church function on Wednesday.
Walk dogs this afternoon.
Give one or two dogs a bath.
Write one or two drafts for ebay.
Check my canned potatoes to see what I need as I have 10 pounds of free potatoes to either can or dehydrate.
I hope everyone has a good Sunday!

Nice looking truck, not a bad deal!!
Looks good from a distance. Like any good salesman, this guy knows how to take the pictures in a way that hides the flaws. The front of the box is bent so it nearly touches the cab and both wheelwells in the bed have been pounded out with a hammer. There's something fishy with that one. The guy sells a lot of rebuilt title vehicles and he's very up front about that, I don't think he's dishonest. He's just putting lipstick on the pig...

I hear ya on the trucks @Spikedriver I had planned to buy a new truck this year. Nothing I can do now but keep driving this one. I don't want to put more money into it but... I have a shop and this won't be the first engine I've swapped. I can stick and crate engine/transmission package in it for $12K, already priced them. Even cheaper if I put a package in my old truck... Do not want to do this. Used to enjoy swapping engines in vehicles. Not anymore, I dread the thought of it.

No plans for today, just rest.

All I've done so far today is make a nice breakfast for Dad and I and go to two supermarkets to look for Heidi's dog food. It's nothing out of the ordinary--just Purina Dog Chow. Neither of them carry it anymore. All they stock is the higher end grocery store brands--Iams, Nutrish, some other's I've not heard of. Looked online and Target still carries it. Have to wait until during the week to go there--I live in a Blue Law county. Stores like Target and Walmart are closed.

I've got a to-do list a mile long. Only thing NOT on the list is motivation.

The projects....got to put the plastic on the greenhouse frame for winter. Going to try to grow potatoes in grow bag in there. Need to plant said potatoes. Need to straighten and organize the storage room off of the garage. HaHa actually need to clean and organize the garage.

The mundane will probably win out....need to put away laundry. Clean up the kitchen and bathroom.

I was planning on going into work today for about 3 hours to type in the flu shots from the off-site clinics that we do. The thought of doing that and listening to customers complain because of our pharmacy closing early two days this past week just really turned me off. Don't care that it's overtime. Time is more important than money and I want my time.

Well it seems just writing it down here was enough to get me motivated.

I got the plastic on the greenhouse. The experimental grow bag with potatoes are inside of it and watered. It’s about 77° in there right now. It’s 62° outside. I also planted about a third of my garlic. The rest I’ll do next weekend when I pull the bean pole out of the raised bed in the corner of the garden area.

I'm at the Spinning Wheels skating rink for a little kid's birthday party. They're doing the limbo now...

Let's recap the weekend. Friday I prepped some screens to make a couple new shirt designs. Went to work and had a decent night there. Came home about 3:30am and made the silk screens for the new shirts. Printed 2 each of small, medium, large, XL and XXL and loaded everything into my truck for the farmers market. Relaxed for an hour, made breakfast and went to the farmers market Saturday morning. Sold 5 or 6 shirts and 5 dozen eggs in 4 hours. I make more money per hour at the farmers market than I make at work.
Because I didn't sleep at all that night I came home and went to bed about 3pm Saturday and slept until 9pm, watched a movie and went back to sleep about 11 until my phone rang at 1am. My GF's oldest daughter called about her car leaking coolant and stores were closed and what should she do. I talked her through that and she made it home OK. Today I looked at her car and the molded plastic thermostat/coolant hose housing (new fangled piece of crap) was leaking at the block. Took it off and it is simply the gaskets going bad but you can't buy just the gaskets so had to order a new housing. At least it was easy to get to and remove, that was a total surprise on a newer vehicle. Local stores wanted $150 for the part and they all had to order it. Checked online with RockAuto and it was $43 plus shipping. $13 shipping for eventual delivery, $50 shipping if I wanted it in a few days to get the car running again but still $50 cheaper than buying from a local store.
As soon as I ordered the part online there was a loud clap of thunder and it started pouring, that is when the girls asked for a tarp to cover the tent they are housing the young ducks in outside. Sooo, out in the rain to cover the tent and got done just in time for the rain to stop.
I am tired. Sleepy tired and tired of the "fun". Too mush doo-doo going on around here and no one willing to do anything. I have two choices, finish the crap I don't want to do so I can run away for a month or two or don't do anything but be stuck here with no money to get away. I guess there is a third option, fly a kite tied to the roof during a thunderstorm and hope lighting burns down the house. It is fully insured as if it was complete and fully furnished so State Farm would replace it on their dime. I like option 3 but with my luck we would never get another thunderstorm.

Baby sat last night and got home at 4:00 am. Got u at 7:30. Went to Sunday school, church an nursing home. Came home, dozed for maybe an hour. Cleaning a lady’s house tomorrow as work holiday for Veterans Day. Next weekend booked. School homecoming football game Friday, 50th class reunion Saturday and church Sunday morning and wedding shower for grandson that afternoon

Now this is funny, yesterday I messaged Bacpacker about a town near Knoxville for info. A guy named Steve Kaufman holds a bluegrass music camp there every summer. I’ve met Steve before, nice guy and has a great reputation for his ability to teach others. The camp was something I was thinking about for next year.

Currently my music gear is scattered throughout my house. I got a new tote this afternoon and went through every room. Found most things except my guitar strap. I did find my backup strap so I’m good now.

Also, I’m not the real “Peanut”. Peanut was family, died about 10yrs ago. I have almost all his music gear. In his box of gear I found this…

Steve Kaufman's 3 dvd set of teaching videos, bluegrass flat picking, beginner through advanced.

Guess I can forget about his music camp… 😁. Each dvd plays fine so I'm set for new material this winter.

Took the dog on another nice long walk n listened to interesting interviews from people who had near death experiences.
I usually listen to news but I needed a break from all that n I actually find these NDE's people have are uplifting.
I grabbed my friends dog that I'm doggy sitting for a few days n he supervised my garden gate project. I'm almost done..
I got some stuff done this weekend which is great but very little rest and time spent on my rug making.
Maybe next weekend..

Don't know where my day went, but it did. Animal and garden chores, and the twins took off supposedly to the crackhead church where the granddaughter's boyfriend plays drums. Grandson was out late last night and came back saying he was goofing off with his friend and whacked his elbow on the road. So he went downstairs and got a sling from our medical gear. Husband took a look, no road rash, a pinch of swelling if any, nothing weird, told his to ice it. He said he wanted a professional opinion, so after their church, and out to lunch, and to the flea mkt, they went to the walk in clinic. No break. Nothing wrong. He then went to Walmart and got a better sling. Then to the movies and to Taco Bell. He just argued with me how much he is hurt , after I commented that I'm glad it's not broken, and that he should rethink keeping it slung like that. Use it or lose it, and it's his right arm. We picked up little granddaugher's mom and took her to a park nearby so her and little granddaughter could visit. So 2 hrs reading in the truck. She put makeup all over little granddaughter, including eye liner and false eyelashes. Thought it was a joke, but little granddaughter was madder than ever when we got home and I told her to wash it all off. Evidentally her mama gave her all the makeup to take home to wear every day. Geesh, she's 11. So I am not popular with anybody at the moment, oh well. Cooked a turkey, ate some with dinner, froze the rest for another day. Have one more to cook tomorrow. Emptied one dehydrator of tomatoes, another of parsley and green onion. Filled them both up again with chopped tomatoes.

Doing nothing that involves running taps! Our pump copitulated last night. Lucky OH and son were outside and heard it so it could be switched off before it flooded too badly. I have rainwater stored for toilets and drinking water stored, washing is all done, so its no big deal for a few days. I will however have to restock water, which wasn't in the budget, and probably buy a new motor. OH couldn't fix it (he thought something had gotten stuck), have a plumber coming to advise tonight. Hopefully, its just the motor, which OH can replace, and not the whole unit. Was hoping to buy new tyres this month, as last month was house insurance. Still all else is good this side of the water- and following the torrential rain on Sunday, we have a lot of it! Had a piece of poetry accepted for a book in Britain also, so thats nice.

The bad thing now too is that you can't get anything fixed! You used to be able to buy a cheaper vehicle with some issues that are fixable ( brakes, tires, suspension pieces etc) but now just to get an appointment in any repair shop is weeks away
