Youngest son Fred and his lovely wife Laura came to pick up Strawberry this afternoon.
She will be staying with them while I regroup from surgery.
My house(apartment ) is strangely quite now.
She loves car rides, hamburgers(no onions), french fries, dill pickles.
So she should fit right in with their dogs.
The house is cleaned.
Dishes done.
Laundry washed, dried just have to finish putting away.
Vacuum run throughout the house.
They promised to take good care of Strawberry.
And bring her back safe and sound.
So why do I have tears streaming down my face.

I relocated a really nice hive of bees today. They were in a hard place to deal with but I got it done.

That really looks like fun. I wish I'd been there with you.

Me too! This is my 37th year with bees, I got my first hive when I was 13. I figure that is last hive I will ever catch my body has changed in the last few years and somehow Ive become sort of allergic. I probably got stung 20 times today and Im sitting here all swollen up. I've taught enough people how to catch swarms and wild hives one of them can do it from now on.

Happy almost 61, Snappy!!!! Enjoy your relaxing time!
Got back from taking mom out for Mexican food. Mexican food in Kansas is not like New Mexico Mexican food. It was interesting. Then we stopped at a fireworks tent and bought a bunch of stuff to light up Wednesday night. Am ready to drink some wine on the rocking chair porch with husband. The young jersey cows are still up and staring at us. Need to make it an early night...we have a "coffee break" breakfast early tomorrow. Husband is lucky, as this one will be coed, so him and grandson will be fed. Usually they're ladies only.

Today I'm gearing up to do some micro-scale haying. Micro-scale haying using a walk behind tractor, sickle saw, hay rake, and hay baler all driven by a 13 hp walk behind tractor. I like this technique since I can hay around trees and get an up close look at what is being cut and baled. I know what my yaks will be eating. The bales are 2 ft diameter and easy to move around via lifting or rolling.

Where did you find such a contraption?

What a painful, long, mixed day.

No more physio or knee or hip surgeon until my shoulders are fused.

Been re-referred to the rheumatologist and to a chronic pain specialist.
No pain killing injections into my hip becuase my surgeon said that it wasn't worth
doing because they only last a very short time. *at least I would have gotten home in better shape than I did*

Had another appointment with my shoulder surgeon who has decided it's green light with my fusion while under nerve block
......Provided that I pass the allergy tests when I have an appointment with the specialist high risk anaesthetist.

I really can't have the fusions until the chronic pain specialists finds pain relief that works and I'm not allergic to.

I have done just about nothing today. Can't remember when that happened last. Almost always end up finding stuff to do. Tomorrow I will be 61 and hopefully more ambitious than today! LOL

Tomorrow is now today @snappy1 ! HAPPY 61st BIRTHDAY.

Downing some coffee. Need to go whip together an apple cake and get it in the oven. This morning is "coffee break" at my cousins house. That is a nice breakfast and also a lot of sweets involved. I'll bring the apple cake.
Picking up mom this afternoon and taking her shopping to the thrift store, gift store, and hardware store (that's about it in the little town), and then to burgers for supper. She loves shopping the little town that she grew up in, and I'm sure will bump into everyone she knows.

Just gonna clean some here in the house. High heat index again ( triple digit ugh) today. Made some raspberry muffins this morning with berries I grew myself. Can't wait for the blueberries to ripen so I can do the same with them. And the blackberries are taking f o r e v e r!!! to ripen lol
Hubby is taking tomorrow off so I'm just gonna grill a couple of burgers and make some "campfire" potatoes to go with them ( sliced potatoes in foil with onions and garlic and olive oil)
