We started off the morning with going into town to set up for NBN internet as it has finally arrived here in our country town. After doing that we popped into BigW and saw all of their clothing was reduced to ridiculously low prices and stocked up on all our winter clothing for this and coming seasons saving 73.31% on usual prices. Both DH and I are setting up a newish wardrobe of clothing as DH has lost weight and I have bulked up so most of our clothing no longer fitted or were too big. DH unfortunately left our new modem under a clothing rack but fortunately a staff member picked it up and took it to the phone shop where we picked it up, how honest is that as the staff member could have made a couple of hundred dollars from selling it :):). Yes I know there are both honest sales staff and dishonest too. We then did some postage of a homemade bread bag I sold on the internet.

Got home and detagged my clothing and put on a load of washing and just hung it out. Then off to a friend's home to see the new planned extensions to our chapel proposed from head office which as usual ridiculously impractical so we were conversing on tweeking it as they wanted to get rid of most of our toilets and put the baptismal font so far away from it it was unbelievable. We think we have a good configuration worked out to send back to them.

DH has just loaded the washing machine for another load of washing tomorrow of his new clothing he purchased too.

Seems like everyone is having a good day today, great buy on the clothes too .

Off to work I go. But don't have to be in till 45 minutes later, so husband gets breakfast made this morning. Air con went out in the large section of our house, so it's hotter than heck. The side with the bedrooms is cool, so I was thankful for that. When it rains, it pours with stuff breaking. Still need to replace the oven. The septic pump was last week. I think things break in threes.
Our a.c. went out a few weeks ago. Thank God for the Lowes card and no interest for 6 months! This humidity would have done me in.

You can just jumper the two A/C wires. All the thermostat is, is a switch. Close the circuit and if the A/C runs then it is the thermostat and you can save yourself the cost of a cheap thermostat.

Excellent Idea! But I've read your post too late, already bought the $17 el-cheap-o with a 11% rebate. Which colors wires are the A/C?

Look at how they are on the current thermostat. Look at the instructions on the new thermostat. Make it match. Just because there is a standard color placement doesn't guarantee that the previous owner or the assistant A/C installer got it right. Check the connections on the old thermostat before you disconnect any wires. Make a diagram of where every wire goes before you disconnect the first one. Once you think that you have it sorted out test by connecting those two wires together and see if the A/C comes on. Give it a minute or two to start blowing cold.

we took hubby's brother 2-5 gallon buckets of maters and sil only wanted enough okra for supper. so i brought the rest home .washed it and cut it up and put it on the dehydrator. i also filled up the other dehydrat0r with maters. daughter got the pasta vacuum sealed and 2 quarts of collards. while i peeled and chopped 2-1/2 5 gallon buckets of maters . they will get canned tomorrow.:woo hoo: but we are tired but i'm glad we got that much done. tomorrow it will start all over again.

Sorry to hear that, Terri. That poor girl must be making you crazy with worry.
It's that time of year, Timmie, isn't it? Have my dehydrator full of tomatoes, too. We have Armenian cucumbers coming out of our ears right now.

@hiwall :woo hoo:glad you got some well needed rain we got a sprinkle today too but probably only .5mm but it all helps.

@Terri9630 sorry to hear about your daughter but unfortunately it is something both she and yourself will have to get used to as part of her condition :(, still very worrying for all those who witness it though.

Thanks y'all. She was trying to make me not worry and said she just "fell asleep" for a few minutes but she's fine... "Really mom, I'm fine. Just took a quick nap but now I feel better" is what she said. A quick nap, from the standing position..... At least her blood sugar was at 92.

Started off the morning with going to the dentist to have my teeth checked and they are all good and I was complimented on my teeth brushing technique and went to the chemist to pick up some pain medication for DH. I have booked another appointment in late August to have my teeth cleaned. Here in Australia you can get free dental if you are a pensioner or on benefits but you are about 18 months on a waiting list until you are seen.

Got home and I put on a load of washing on, hung it out and watered another 1/3rd of the the back lawn with saved grey water from our showers and washing machine. Then DH vacuumed the whole house and I deep cleaned the bathroom and toilet. Just been downstairs where DH loaded up some more firewood in the wheelbarrow and passed it up to me on the veranda where I stacked it on the firewood rack and DH put on a loaf of bread in the bread making machine.

Tonight we will have a fair amount of washing to fold up as we washed all our new clothing that we purchased the other day. Other than that it will be relaxing for the rest of the night.

hope everyone has more git up and go than i do today. i'm just really tired today. maybe all the stress for the last few weeks, i don't know . what i do know is unless i get better, i'm going to relye on daughter a lot today. i just feel blah and drained.

I'll be inside today, rain, rain, rain. I did catch a largemouth yesterday,1st 1 in 3 years. I'm not sure if it's 1 I stocked earlier in the Spring or a baby of the ones I put in a 4 years ago. If it's 1 I stocked in the Spring it sure grew a lot, they were only 5-7" long and this one was about 12". I don't know if they can grow that fast or not,but I doubt it.

Hope you feel better soon, Timmie! I don't have much get up and go either, but I have pushed myself.

We went to the big city for VA yesterday, 90 miles each way. Found out the travel cashier did not have our banking info and that is why we have not been reimbursed for travel yet. Taken care of now. All went well and as expected with his visit. Appointments were in the afternoon and they went faster so we were home faster than usual.

Today, I have made pumpkin treats and cut up chicken for treats for the dogs, cleaned the bathrooms and dusted the house, cut up some peaches to freeze, moved some potted plants because of the heat and made some vegetable soup for me.

Tomorrow I go help my friend at the store, so gone all day.

I am getting a better idea of my garden for next year. That's about it for now. Have a great day!

@Terri9630 as a fellow sufferer all I can say is if all else fails fall over or lie down and roll and have a rest, it works for me . Incidentally she is telling you you are worrying too much in teen language ;) .

I can't help it. Especially when, like this morning, she wakes up with her heart thinking its running a running a marathon. Her resting heart rate this morning was 129.
