TGIF and I really mean it! We put seven yr old granddaughter on the plane tomorrow morning to go back home to California. She's an interesting little one, and we fly her out to us each summer to visit and give her mama a break. The twins go to Christian camp for a week and leave Sunday afternoon. That means we will be without children for a week (except my job, of course). Husband is already planning the breweries he wants us to try. He is off on Fridays, so hoping we could do a range day, but it depends on how he is feeling. Just finished all the animals, have 4 brooders of baby chicks going. Looking forward to the weekend. I have to work some on Sunday, and a long day on Monday, but I am only on call Tuesday through Friday. Hoping to get some things cleaned out around here.

Got my wife's deck/covered deck done! Thundered all afternoon but so far we have not received any rain.
Watched a coyote hunt mice in our field today. Here's a pic of of the work I finished (except for painting and maybe some trim).

As you can see in the pic, our garden stuff is growing great. The covered bed is full of strawberry plants.

@Terri9630 I understand why you are worried and thought I would lighten the mood a bit for you :) . That is my usual heart rate the 120's and if I exercise I go to over 200 beats per minute as my heart has to pump harder to get the right amount of blood and oxygen around my body due to large veins and arteries. The usual however is between 60 - 90 beats per minute so that is high for a resting heart rate.

@Amish Heart you have such a busy week with work and visitors I can understand just how tired we can all get. With a bit of luck I hope the weekend and beyond is less frantic.

@timmie I hope you are feeling better.

Started off the morning with DH and I weighing out 2 sales of 350 g of dried thyme picked from the gardens and counting and packaging another sale of capsicum seeds saved from the gardens.

Out into the gardens where I put on the drip irrigation system for 30 mins front and back next where we trimmed the rest of the thyme, washed it and placed it on a rack ready to dry some more. We then fertilised all of the vegetable garden beds with a tonic of Seasol seaweed concentrate and I trimmed the sage that had dead branches on it and before this DH took a wheel off one of our trolleys to put on the fertilising cart as one was flat.

Just listed another amount of dried thyme on the internet and messaged my customers to let them know their parcels will be posted on Monday and went and purchased 2 more cart wheels so we have one spare.

DH is heating up the other half of our pizza for dinner tonight.

Very nice job on the deck!

Thanks Sewing. She's been all over the place. From 42 (after walking her 4-H goat for 10 min) to the 129 while laying in bed. I have no idea what she's doing....

Got granddaughter on the plane this morning and safely home now. I really dislike TSA. I wasn't even flying, but had to go through security to be granddaughter's escort. They had to rub a furry wand over the palms of my hands and then put the wand into a machine to see what my hands have touched. Ha. Then decided to do an all out purse search to the side on the table. Dump everything out. As if I look like a terrorist. We had plenty of time, though, and its their policy to have the person dropping off the unattended child flying alone to wait for 10 minutes after they are airborne to make sure the plane is not turning around. So, long morning. 3 hours. She filled up on Coke and cookies while we waited. Ha.
It's too hot to do anything outside today, so I need to get some housecleaning done. Two baby chicks just hatched out of our big incubator, more to follow. Brooder #4 being set up. My family room is officially a chicken nursery.
Grandkids leave at noon tomorrow for camp, so packing has begun, and weekend chores are being finished.

Great looking deck, we love our deck and often sit under the shade of a black walnut tree I planted a few years ago. I had to put screen all around the deck so wild animals or rattle snakes wouldn't make their home underneath the deck, went to pick up a push broom laying on the deck, just next to the entrance door and there was a rattlesnake laying just under the handle, that woke me up in a hurry.

Hashbrown,
Is there room for another shooter? I have to sight my AR in after replacing the scope mount and both ranges here are closed.:(
I promise I will let her shoot smaller groups...:)
I've got a full tank of gas that will get me just over 420 miles. I can make it into Montana, How much farther will I need to go?:D

We are in the Ozarks and always have plenty of room! Come on!

Mylar bagging more food, have to go in to work for a little while, dropping the twins off this afternoon for camp for a week, laundry, housecleaning. Watching chicks hatch...#4 this morning. Lost an older hen yesterday, appears from the heat maybe. One of my main runs has mostly older hens in it, and I've lost three this summer. Time to add in newbies. Our grapes aren't ready yet, either.

Back home again from the hospital.
This time my parents and little brother freaked out when my knee started seeping blood.
So back to the ER, at least this time my brother stayed with me. All other times I just stayed by myself.
In the two weeks I go back to see my surgeon.
Garden has burnt up, got nothing to show for my hard work this summer.
Extremely hot,humid, no rain.
Hope Timmie,Terrie and Amish Heart all get well along with family members whom are ill.
Strawberry is as close to me as she can get without actually being on my lap. She keeps licking my left foot.
It's just 5:38 pm and I'm already in my pj's. Wore slick.
Feeling accompliment today, did a load of laundry over at my parents house.
Made it through most of the day with only 4 pain pills today.
Instead of 1-2 every 6 hours, but definately tired tonight.

Thanks for the well wishes. You take care of that knee.
