I planted more lettuce and radishes in the greenhouse. I checked my temp log from last year to remind myself what was the low outside temp that resulted in a freeze inside the greenhouse. -5 degrees F

Then I started the quest to find were the conduit should penetrate the outside wall. No obvious solution jumped out at me. I will sleep on that question.

Stripped the outer casing of the 10ga cable and installed in the junction box. The conductors fit nicely inside the conduit and fittings. So I have to make up my mind about where that hole should be drilled.

Allergy shot, forgot my epipens so I had to stay later. Ran some errands, bought some Christmas cards. Early, yes, but the selection was good and I got the Charlie Brown nativity ones always miss out on.

PT now and then making an enchilada casserole for dinner.
Sounds like you might have the same allergy to the preservatives I do. Have you ever been checked or had an inoculation point erupt into a painful colony of boils?

We are having a new very efficient air conditioner/furnace installed tomorrow. They are coming around 8:30 s and will be here all day. Home PT comes at noon, home health car nurse comes at 1:30 to “discharge” me from home health. The salesman who we bought sold us the system is coming by to see if we have any questions. I absolutely HATE such busy days. I have to get up early to shower and dress. I feel stifled when people are on my home. 😩

We're having a new furnace installed tomorrow as well. In one of our rental properties. So I'll go down there and sit with the furnace guy and read my book (the 4th Harry Potter novel - I set it aside a while ago - got busy with other things - so maybe tomorrow I can finish it).

I'm happy you've done so well and are on you're feet. Was worried, my mom didn't do so well with her knee rep. Keep up the exercises!! :)

Trip to town, more prescriptions for the folks. Felt surprisingly good today, not a lot of energy but holding my own. Bought some movies from the discount bin at walley's, 4 movies I haven't seen for $10... and got a few groceries. Stopped at the autoparts and got bulbs for my truck, left front turn signal went out. Now i have to figure out how to change it.

Someone hacked our business credit card. Spent over $1600 on limo services, over $600 at Pottery Barn Kids plus a few more. Luckily, I look at it every week to every-other week so they did all this within the past week and it is being taken care of. The pain is waiting for a new card and having to contact the couple of vendors we have set up for automatic payment. Also luckily, I pay our bills promptly so when I called them, they didn't even question it (and some had their own stories) and are fine with waiting until the new card arrives.
A few years ago when we were building our house someone hacked in to our credit card. They bought $26,000 of flooring and several hundred dollars of girl scout cookies. It was the cookies that tipped off our bank that these were fraudulent charges. We pay close attention to our bank accounts and credit cards.

A couple of punks hacked my account and bought gaming computers.
I sent them to jail after a month without anything to eat or smoke. screw them,
and I hope they were daily!

On Monday I went to see the physical therapist for my back and shoulder pain. She figured the pain in my shoulder is coming from my neck. She worked on my neck and the pain went away, at least temporarily. For my back she stuck needles, like acupuncture, on both sides of my lower spine. Yesterday I finished unloading hay and split some firewood. I was pretty well wiped out by the end of the day, but no back or shoulder pain. So far I'm pleased with what the PT is doing.

The follow-up with the wife's eye surgery went well. I did ask if we could shift the times on the drops as 22:00 was a little late for me. He said that we could shift the times to start when I get up in the morning and the wife said, "To H!! with that! He wakes up the chickens!" We agreed to a schedule that ended at 21:00.

Today is a regular work day so I won't do much around the house. I did get the heat tape for the pipes and will install that after work. The wiring for the Led lights in that area is in place except for the final connections, I may do them if I have time.

Another frozen morning, but it'll get a bit better starting tomorrow. Neighbor girl starts school at 8 this morning, and little granddaughter starts at 10 this morning, so I'll be driving twice. Hoping to stop in at the bin stores and also visit mom this afternoon after chores are done.

I can't believe it but we have snow, on the ground. Just a tiny bit but still. Earliest we have ever had any since we moved here. There have been Octobers it was still warm enough to go swimming at the lake. It was last week and now it's in the low 20s and snow. Good thing we put all the animals up but it's cold in the barn also, hope nobody gets sick with such a extreme weather change.
The wildfire east and north of us is now 500 acres, wow. We drove to town yesterday and thought we might have seen smoke, but not sure, it's kind of far away

So today animals except the sheep stay in. Sheep have to go out for at least a while to clean. They make the biggest mess, much more than the goats

Credit card theft: I had the full blown identity theft happen to me 25 years ago. The year our son was born. It was raining and I was picking up 2 kids from daycare. It was very stupid but I left my purse in the car so I could hold kids and umbrella and was in and out in a few minutes but someone busted my car window and grabbed the purse.
It's a long ugly story but I had to shut every single account I had, start all over. Only money I lost was my cell phone they got but everything else was taken care of by the credit card and bank insurance.
I now make sure I have a very limited amount of credit on each card, and usually only carry 1 around, so they will get not much. None of the cards are attached to our bank accounts and no debit card either. Occasionally my 1 card that I use to do online shopping gets hacked ( a few years ago they bought Disney tickets with it) and they send me a new one. I HATE thieves!!

No, I’m allergic to Colorado. My face and neck get inflamed when I’m outside, so I get these lovely red streaks and facial swelling around my eyes. Not fun.

Specifically, I’m mildly allergic to twelve different things that they tested for out of thirty-six, and particularly one mold that I’m pretty sure doesn’t thrive as well in my previous location of southern California. It’s about 50% wetter here, and it seems to thrive at about 50-60°F, which you don’t hit much where I used to live. I’m really glad I didn’t move somewhere more humid.

I’m also allergic to cats, so that’s bundled into the shot. I don’t have one, and probably still won’t, but it’ll be nice to be able to visit them without having the world’s worst cold.

Big cleaning job today! Also need to motivate the owners of the Aussie I'm training. They are not keeping up her training like in the beginning! She totally has their number, they have to get more serious if they want the dog to listen to them!! This afternoon I will cover more stacks of firewood with plastic tarps. Need to be ready if it's a wet winter. Also need to do some touch up mowing in the immediate yards.

Upon dropping off my daughter at state testing, my wife and I went to Goodwill in Columbia with the bends and bought two Black and Decker drills. Also brought a handsaw. Picking up my daughter and the GPS went out. We got lost because we tried a new route. Next time, I'll pack my map in my bag. Once we reach our familiar neighborhood, we stop at the Dollar Tree and find out the broom handle costs a dollar and the broom costs a dollar.

I completed the first circuit on the manual transfer switch today.

Friday I may be doing the outside outlet for generator connector.

Getting close.

Hang in there . The drops will end soon enough.
There is so much important healing going on and if it goes right, it lasts a lifetime:D.

I can’t believe how NOISY replacing a furnace is. It’s driving me CRAZY and I can’t leave the house because I can’t drive. 😭
We didn't have to stay at our rental property for the (noisy) furnace install. Our tenant let the installer in before going to work, and we arrived just as he was finishing the job. The furnace we had installed was a Trane, and the installation guy said it has to be inspected by a certified Trane technician at least once every two years for the 13 year warranty to remain valid. You also have to replace the filter once every 90 days for the warranty as well. He said (as has every reputable furnace guy we're used before) that we shouldn't buy the expensive filters. "Just buy the cheap ones and change them routinely on schedule. Better for your furnace, better for your comfort, better for your wallet."

Then he said, "It's been checked and certified. Let's fire it up. Your smoke alarms might go off."

And they did. All over the house. Less than a minute after starting the furnace. The installer said this is normal - and a good thing to check for - because oil on parts of the furnace is being burned off the first time you start it. He said the alarms would only go off for a few minutes. He was right on all counts. I never smelled or saw any smoke standing right there by the furnace. But the smoke alarms detected it and alerted immediately. We let them go until they shut themselves off, to make sure their automatic reset worked. It did. The CO detectors didn't go off (that's a good thing!), just the smoke detectors.

The house warmed up really quick with that new furnace. It was cold when we got there. Only took a few minutes to heat up. It had been without heat for several days, one of those days had seen a low of 6 degrees, and a different day low of 15. High's in the 40's. Today I think we are back in the 50's. It never fails - an old furnace will stop working on the coldest of days.

I'm sorry, but that's almost funny. For sale 1 broom - handle sold separately! 😂 Who thinks of these things?

Today I began totally rearranging the office and cleaning as I go. It's a disaster zone sorta - with clean spots. It needed doing and should be quite a bit more efficient when I finish. I've created a mountain of cardboard boxes. Crazy how many of those things float around and take up space. I need to get the box cutter out tomorrow and get to work on those. Luckily, today was garbage day so I will be filling 'er back up I'm sure.
Otherwise nothing riveting. Our cold snap is supposed to break and stay above freezing tonight. That will be a welcome change. It's been pretty cold. Makes me want to stay home and bake.
