Started off the morning with packaging thyme and a homemade notebook cover sold on the internet and went into town and posted it and got 10 more stamps, got 5 jerry cans of fuel and got fuel preservative and came home. Looked at the prices of fuel in other areas and it appears to be going up and also in the U.S I hear as oil prices are on the rise due to lack of oil exploration.

We harvested 29 bunches of silverbeet and 2 kg of broccoli from the gardens, washed them and blanched and froze them making 2 double meals of broccoli and 23 more double meals of silverbeet. We watered some of the gardens with the washing blanching and freezing water and will use the rest tomorrow morning. We also washed the last of the cherry tomatoes picked from the gardens and have them on a tray in the freezer ready to package tomorrow.

Tonight's dinner was sausages, eggs and cheese on toast.

We got pounded by gordon and now we're in a large break in the rain for now. Got over 5inches. The indicator was at the top of the rain gauge. I emptied it so we can keep counting.
We have roads closed because they're flooded. School was delayed because some roads the buses can't get up. Those kids will get an excused absence. People can't get out to go to work. Hubby made it in and hopefully since rain runs downhill what was further west of us won't block his way home today. I'm waiting to see what flo has in store for us if she makes inland enough to give us rain
I'm just hanging out again in the house. Some cleaning, some reading and deciding what to make for supper. Meatloaf yesterday was really good

Good morning everyone. Yesterday I started putting a desk together for the corner of the room where I'll stay with Mom some. Traveling office and all that stuff.

Today, visiting around on the internet, and calling to make an appointment with funeral home to talk about setting up Dad's life insurance, so won't show on Medicaid application as an asset.

It's amazing how many forests and bites are taken up with red tape paperwork.

'Red' tape is a great word for it, while we were busy enjoying the freedoms and prosperity we had they were busy finding ways to take the social and financial freedom away.

Now we have to get permission from our red masters and pay for everyone elses free ride.

Nothing new under the sun though it has always happened just like this right before the fall of an empire.

So we just do best we can when we can . We are now up and going again ' so far' . Cleaned out Green House a little, planting, cleaning and thinking.

Nine was good, too. Husband keeps track of my apocalyptic book addiction and lets me know when something comes out and orders it for me. Did you read the Prepper Farm (prepper chicks series)? Book two came out and was as good as one.

I haven't seen that one. I'll have to look for it. Hubby was the one that told me it was out. I got him hooked!

Strawberry has been out to take care of her business-half done
She's been fed and fresh water with 1 tsp of white vinegar(repels fleas, ticks)-done
She jumped up in my lap 4 times already this morning-done.
got her morning scratch behind the ears.-done
laundry sorted-done
bedroom fan took apart, dusted and put back together-done
trash gathered up, taken out done.
bed made-done
Strawberry is looking for new place for her bone.
Don't particularly like rolling over in night coming face to face with her bone again.
So now the said bone is in her bed.
She whined most of the night, couldn't hide her bone.
Last week she lost a bone when Estelle found it.
Guess Estelle thought if Strawberry can chew on it, she could too.
Both were upset with Granny. Nobody has the bone now.
In a couple of weeks, I'll give it back to Strawberry.
Need to vacuum living room,my bedroom really well now that I have taken apart fan.
Vacuum furniture too.
Found more of the missing alphabetic under the loveseat.
Back in toy basket, in the shape bucket.
Going to take truck title up and get it transferred back into my name as primary owner.
Need to do some research on where I can get speedometer, fuel gauges, reasonably priced.
Will need a fuel filter in gas tank changed too.
But at least insurance is cheap on it.
I think I have to have it inspected again too, to transfer title again.
Didn't get sewing room finished this last weekend, took a small break.
So I will empty another container out of closet today sometime.

LOL @MoBookworm1957 ! When I roll over, I often am face to face with Peanut's beloved plush snake toy, Liza! A little shock the first few times!

I have to run to run to the store for veggies, tuna and some (chips to take to game day at Church) Chips are not for me. I'll take a hard boiled egg. Might sew the buttons that I put off doing yesterday.

Dog bath time again fro the two middle aged dogs on the porch and front yard.

I finally got (after 6 weeks) the stupid chainsaw running :lil guy:,not great but at least it's running. I never was much good at small engines I'm more of a truck and car guy. Only problem is,since I got it and the weed eater running and it's been raining the past 4 days, now I'm going to be busy the rest of the week mowing, trimming and cutting down trees .

Went in for the kids heart ultrasound. He started out showing me all the different parts and said it looked good. Her heart rate was staying around 63. Then he stopped talking and started taking pictures and measurements and asked if anyone in the house smoked. No, I have asthma and don't allow it. He said she had a calcium deposit in her heart and the beat was a bit "eratic". He didn't say anything after that just outlined lots of stuff on the screen. After we were done he said he would have the report done in about 10min and emailed go the Dr.

If I wasn't a paranoid wreck before, I am now!

(((HUGS)))) @Terri9630 Gently...he should not have said anything. Small talk is best, or explaining the procedure, but making comments like that is not part of the job, AT ALL.
He's the ultrasound tech. Personally, not that I want anyone to lose their job, but he needs to shut up. I would tell the doctor your concerns as you mentioned here. The doctor may wonder how you know those kind of details and you can decide from there whether to mention the tech's indescretion.
I would research it, then, if I drank alcohol, I'd have a glass or two of wine. Or a cup of calming tea..

Thanks. He quit talking after asking about the smoking. I was standing behind him, staying out of the way watching the monitor for the rest. I'd rather have the tech talking than not. I've had too many Dr's not tell me things because they didn't think they were important that turned out to be later. This way I have questions to ask.

Sadly I can only drink Friday's and Saturday's due to job restrictions. There is no such restriction on milkshakes though.....

I'm sorry. It's not like you asked for advice. It's true that doctors don't tell you stuff and if you don't know what to ask you're out of luck.

Don't worry about it. I'm just glad I have somewhere to vent.

We had found two night stands at a yard sale that looked great and were perfect for us, except they were too short. We bought them and today I made bases to bring them up to the correct height for us. The only problem was that my wife decided to come out to the shop to "help" me. She has this thing about cleaning. That is fine in the house but we were in my shop. I was sawing, sanding, drilling and sawdust (and regular dust) was everywhere. So she was cleaning as I was making more dust. Finally I got her to stop so she went over and started cleaning the truck instead. Things went faster after that:)
The bases turned out great so far and I hope to finish up a couple things on them tomorrow. I made the fronts into drop down doors so we could just have a little bit more storage. I had to wait until the glue was dry before finishing.

This morning we washed and rinsed the amber bottles we purchased and jam jars we got given from a friend and put them on a towel to dry on the veranda. DH then put on the drip irrigation system for the gardens and then turned them off. DH watered the rest of the back lawn with saved grey water from our showers and washing machine and I stain removed some clothing and put on a load of washing on in the washing machine and hung it on the clothes line to dry.

Then into the kitchen where DH washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I dried them and put them away.

Time then to pick up the last order for the 3 months for groceries from the supermarket and back home where we unpacked it all, dated it, put it away while rotating it all oldest to the back and newest to the front. I took in the dry washing from the clothes line and while I was doing that DH got all of the washed amber and jam bottles from the veranda and brought them inside.

Tonight's dinner will the other half of our mince and garden vegetable stir fry.
