My sons team played a great game but lost. The score was close until the 4th quarter, but it was cold and raining and his team from southern Nevada was shivering and dealing with tingling hands and feet by the end of the 1st quarter while the team from the north was a little more accustomed to the cold weather. The game and the weather was what it was so there is no changing that but our team was obviously slowed and having trouble due to the cold. I talked with a few kids from the other team, and their parents, in the parking lot after the game and they knew the cold was against us, but they also wondered about many bad calls from the refs throughout the game. "How the heck did you guys get 7 "false start" penalties in a row in the 4th quarter? We didn't see it!" Well, bad calls are also part of the game. I will add, the sportsmanship by all kids from both teams made me very proud as they were helping each other up after plays, patting each other on the helmet or shoulder after each play, and aside from just a couple pushing and shoving instances (which is expected in such a game) the kids were all very mature and obviously well raised and coached. Congratulations to Truckee High School.
SIDE NOTE: My son who I am raising as a Michigan fan noticed the Truckee Wolverines team logo is obviously an altered recreation of the Michigan Wolverines logo..... but with Ohio States red and grey colors. What sick individual came up with that concoction?

The kids played great and although disappointed in the outcome after some conversations after the game they accepted the situation and were proud of themselves.
On a side note, the game was on a Saturday and Sunday morning I had the start of a cough which in a couple days turned into over a week of sick in bed. Today was the first day I felt rested and healthy and able to work a full day without feeling lousy or tired. That is why I haven't been around much.
But,
@LadyLocust Thank you for asking.
