Clem, ouch ouch ouch! That sounds horrible. I hope you heal quickly. Also hope your husband wasn't hurt when he fell. Glad you weren't hurt worse, but that still sounds awful. Sending you hugs.

I've had sensitivity to greasy foods for decades. Started when I was a teenager but its gotten worse with age. It's mostly specific stuff like the fried chicken from a particular place. Not ally fried chicken causes it and not all greasy foods cause it. I think it's something this place puts in their chicken and it didn't help that I followed up the chicken with half a pint of fudge brownie ice cream. That plus stress is what made me feel so sick. I normally get a little gas and stuff after eating some stuff but don't usually feel that bad.

Went to visit Mom today and had to wait for them to bring her back in from using a stent to try to remove the kidney stone. No go. It was too large but they moved it out of the way to allow for urine flow. Wednesday they will bring in the laser specialist to try to break it up. So she has to stay in ICU. Her bp won't come down.

Stopped at a Chinese buffet in Eunice and then headed home. I found that if I tell gps to route back to my friend's house instead of my house it takes shows me the shorter path through Mamou instead of routing me through Oberlin. Saw a really cool house just before LA 13. House has a 3 car attached garage and then a detached 2 story garage with 2 giant doors.

I took a nap and then went to Walmart to get milk & some bins to put Mom's stuff in to clear it out of the way. Might ask my friend to come over tomorrow to help me move stuff and get a waterproof mattress pad and some new sheets on. I want to have it all nice and clean for her when she comes back. Will also see if he can help me move some of the stuff in the bathroom that got stacked in front of the sink when they were moving things to get her into the wheelchair.

Just took my meds and am waiting 30min to eat something.

Had a good conversation with a friend who works at Walmart. He said he & one of his brothers had to carry their dad to the vehicle a few times before he passed from cancer. He lost both of his parents, a cousin, an aunt, a grandmother, and a brother to cancer. He's nearly lost his youngest sister to it too. I mentioned Mamou and he said something about a junkyard out there and I said "Cancer is a B**** Car Crushing LLC!" (I hope that censored version is OK as it is the name of a business). Obviously they lost someone or survived it, but I would like to know the backstory on that.

I'm about to watch some contruction/how to videos, grab some food, and then take a nap.
Hope your mom gets home soon. She'll be glad to get home to new sheets and find things ready for her!

Almost 2am, second bedtime!! Will go clean my building today. May go work with my little Aussie. She is being great for me, but not her owners! They really need to put some time and effort into her! Will finish doing laundry, woohoo! Going to be warm and windy today, maybe some more leaves will fall. Still plenty on the trees yet, some green! We did get some pretty colors this year!!

Today I need to clean the mess left behind from Thanksgiving and the baking for the market. Need to clean the kitchen, cook a proper meal ( we had...nachos yesterday, made them at home but still , its about as junk food as I get) . Have a load of laundry to put away, and of course the barn will need cleaning since it is raining and everyone is in. But it is supposed to stop soon, so everyone will go back out. Worried about one of our pregnant goats. She is the oldest one we have and not looking too great. Pale eyelids despite deworming her and giving her some vitamin/mineral. She lost her babies last year and we should probably not have kept her, but she is a nice goat and I wanted to give her another chance

Went back to bed and slept another hour after his last infusion. Just called my favorite cousin's message line and one of her son's answered. His dad is still breathing this morning, but not conscious. It's a son I rarely see, they live in Indiana, so I had to get him to switch to english pretty quick.
Chores to do before lunch, and we'll go into town and get a Christmas Tree. I've never seen a lot in the bigger town, but I think Home Depot has a few. Then, of course, the fun part. Getting it in a stand and dragging in the boxes.

I’ll be working every Sunday now save one --12/17. I will, however, have every Friday off now until we can get somebody hired and trained. I might have a better chance of becoming the Queen of England.

@Patchouli our plan is to see if we can get through winter on this one and have everything done in the Spring. The tank recovery guy told me it’s probably not an issue with the tank. The age of it indicates that it’s from a time when they were double the thickness of even ones 40 years old. He said our problem most likely is with the piping from the tank to the basement But trying to fix that would be putting a bandaid on the problem. The tank has to be out of the ground before we could sell, so I think now is as good a time as ever. The cleanup rugs are relaxed now and who knows what that would be like in the future. We also have the funds now too.

I’m the fourth generation to live on this property. I always thought I would be like the previous three and go off toes first. I’ll be walking off and this means I’ll be closer to it.

Tommyice...our youngest daughter is a pharmacist, and staffing is always, always a problem, so I get that. She worked retail pharmacy thru pharm school, but then chose hospital pharm when she got her MD. But I tell you, it's still a pain with employees there, too. Luckily, she's coming for Christmas and that is confirmed.
I noticed the Walgreens we go to in our bigger town always has horrible staffing issues and wait time to fill even the simpliest prescriptions. They are training cashiers in the front end as techs in the pharm as fill ins and that doesn't work well.

Sad news this morning. Little Peanut Butter passed away at 4:30 this morning. She was one happy and loved little dog! I've had dogs all my life and she has been my favorite since I first saw her! I will have a friend come over a bit later and dig a hole for her. She will be missed so much!
Snappy, I’m so sorry about your dog. All dogs are special but some are VERY special. It’s so hard to lose that very special one.

I have two dogs right now. One never leaves my side. She’s only 7 but sometimes I fret about when she leaves me. 😭

So sorry about your dog too Snappy. I lost my most special one last year. What got me over it is get another one almost just like it. But he's still not the same
I wished dogs would live longer
I always get a new dog, too. No, it is never the same but each dog has their own set of endearing (and annoying) ways. I’ll always have a dog and cat. If I die before Hubby, he’ll keep them. It is in our will who will get them if we both die.

I'm sure I will. Right now we still have the dog that bites DH. I don't want to get another dog until he's gone.

We’ve got the cross trains too--3 of them. One is really fantastic and we’re trying to get her through the process so she can do more than ring the register. Here in NJ pharm techs need to be licensed and that just adds another obstacle.

I picked up a few tractor buckets of rocks this morning. Jakes FFA teacher came by and picked up Jake and my trailer so they could together a quick float for the kids to ride on in the Christmas parade tonight. Alexandra and I sat around the fire the rest of the afternoon and had a few beers.

I love Coors Light! I hope the guy that invented the magic blue ink in the pyramid above the 2 'Os' is enjoying life as a millionaire in the Caribbean today.
It magically changes from grey to blue when the temp of the can drops below 45°. It is also in the word "Cold" on the side of the can .

I didn’t know that! Hubby did.

Last night we had a friend invite us to happy hour before the light parade so went. Stayed for about an hour of the parade. It was still going but we were both getting cold (wind off the snow). Good news is we got out before all the crazies so weren’t stuck in traffic. Y’all should be proud of me: I attended a public event 😲

A public event AND beautiful cookies. Love them, Lady L.
I like the local public events, husband sometimes can't go, but I still go.
My favorite cousin's husband passed at 6:45 this evening. I am so sad for her. Her son called me right away, and hearing his voice and his sadness just pulled at my heart. Her daughter texted me, too, and I know she couldn't handle being on the phone. Their house is full, all the kids and grandkids there, and I know that helps her. So much love there. There were people that I had to let know, so I've been on the phone this evening.
Other than that, little granddaughter and I got a Christmas tree at Home Depot, and got it put up. Not the ornaments yet, but the lights are on, and it's in a stand and only slightly crooked. Finished grinding up the meat from the 5 chickens I last butchered. Meant to tackle the last seven today, but didn't get to it.

will keep the family in my prayers Amish 🙏

Got to sleep in.....3:30! Just a regular Monday around here, going to work for the nice couple I clean for every Monday. Need to bring more firewood in the house later. Will rake leaves in Bear's front yard, will probably just rake them into piles again, he can play in them a few more days. Have plenty to do later! A cold front came through, was 75° yesterday, only 60° today!

Fell asleep in the recliner. More packing of something today. 2 shelves of dust collecting knick-knacks to go through, 1/2 aren't mine. The the bookcase can hit the dumpster, it wouldn't survive the move.

I hope the 3 newest bookshelves are ok, if not I'll pick up one a month from ikea.

Particle board just doesn't last 4 decades +
