This morning going with DH to the doctors to sort through a medical issue with doctor to send info to take to DVA (vet affairs) to have an extra condition listed on his card from his military accident. Should be fun a mountain of paperwork to do and send off and wait for a reply and result which will hopefully be covered.

The afternoon at 1 pm we are off to have a look at a property which has a 3 bedroom older style home on it on 17.54 acres and then then at 3.30 pm off to see another home on 2.4 acres of land. Our deposit is getting high enough for us to start looking at homes we can afford to buy with a minimal bank loan. Finally convinced DH to look at established homes instead of building as I think we will be pushing it financially to build because of our low income and later entry into the housing market due to my families money grab. We will still need to start putting money away for retirement yet as well which was my concern. We can always gradually renovate an older property to suit our needs as we are both pretty handy and mechanical.

Let you know this afternoon what I thought of both properties and both properties would only have us borrowing 25 % of our combined after tax incomes (less than the rent we are paying here or slightly more) which is manageable as we have no other debts.
Good Luck!

Got up, made bed,shower,teeth,dressed
Cleaned bathroom after shower
First time I didn't get in tub/shower backwards.
Used left leg first instead of right leg first.
Went for my two and half mile walk before P.T,
Did several new excercises, that I thought I should have already been doing.
After today only have 2 more PT visits until approved for more.
Went and visited mom and dad.
Picked up home grown tomatoes from little brother(he gave mom and dad 30).
I brought 10 home already ate 2 for lunch and snack.
Ran a couple of errands for parents.
Came home let Strawberry out for the forth time to take care of business.
She only did half several times.
Came in took 2 hour nap.
Finally Strawberry took care of all her business.
Then she plopped down in grass rolled around.
She got bath/shower when she came in.
Now she pouting.
Will have peanut butter tomato and onion sandwich for supper.
Maybe chips, and a pear, light but filling, no appetite still.
Everybodyhave a good day, afternoon,evening,night.

Washed the towels and dry and folded them. Flo is here raining all day. So far we have 1&1/4 inches. Counties to the west of have flooding and heavy rain. Supposed to get more rain tomorrow. One day this week I have to get to the dollar store. Can't beat their prices on some things.
I'm so ready for cooler weather. Tired of the humidity lol
Watched a double header of baseball today on tv. It'll be over soon (sad face)

Worked. Stopped at Michaels on the way home and got a few decorative items for the farmhouse. Taken care of the animals. Lectured grandkids for breaking rules (again) and told them I'm too old for this and they need to knock it off. Husband getting ready to take grandson to Boy Scout meeting and I'll be taking Granddaughter to American Heritage Girls meeting. Mondays are hard.

Started off the morning with doing the banking as my pay came in then to the doctors to sort though DH's medical condition and we are getting a bit closer to getting it sorted. DH just has to fill in the form, take it back to the doctor who will fill out his report and then he will fax the relevant bits off to the specialist for his report. Once we have all that we can post it to Vet Affairs. While there we picked up DH's 2 lots of pain medications from the pharmacy after getting a new bulk script from the doctor. On the way home we looked at second hand 4 wheel drives for when we get our property so we have a second car, rather overpriced but saw one we liked but I would be knocking their prices down considerably as I used to be in the same profession.

Came home and rested for a while and then headed to go and have a look at the first property of 17.54 acres. Boy was this mountainous and we literally went small mountain climbing to walk around the property. We thought it would have some more flat areas and it was clear the owners were expecting too much money for it so we have ruled that property out. The second property we were going to look at was cancelled this morning as the tenants in there are sick so we will go later in the week. We also on the way back stopped outside another property in town on a half acre of land so we will look at that one on Thursday.

Back at home and I watered the lawns with saved grey water from our showers and washing machine.

Tonight's dinner was beef mince stir fry with garden picked sweet potatoes, silver beet, green beans and broccoli.

Frustrated! We had a contract with a buyer to sell some of our land with closing on August 31. It was under contract from June and now. They decided to back out of the sale and they gave up the earnest money. Realtor relisted the property and got a verbal bid the next day. We countered and the buyer agreed. We signed contract yesterday. Don't know if buyer had already signed or if it was sent to them to sign. Anyway, text from realtor this morning that guy has already changed his mind and has cancelled payment on earnest money check that was in the mail. I told husband if the guy comes back again, stay firm on asking price! He said he acted too quickly and needed to think and would let realtor know if he was going to buy it. He had looked at it several times prior to the signing of the first contract and kept saying he wanted it. I feel like my head is a foot underwater and I just don't know how we can get out.

Been to the library, got several books about knitting and crocheting.
Would like to make something besides Granny Squares left handed.
Joined a group of women that gets together at library to knit and crochet twice a month.
Several women before they even learned my name told me I crocheted wrong.
Bummer, that kind of negative vibes I can do without.
Fifty years ago when I learned to knit and crochet, I sat across from righted handed woman, looked in mirror to watch her knit and crochet.
She was the only lady willing to take on a left handed knitter and crocheter.
Fifty years later, some of her former students still have no tact.
I just wanted to be in 4 H like the other kids.
Don't know if I will be going back to the group as of yet.
My dad taught me how to write, because back in the day.
Left handed people were smacked with rulers and paddles if we used our left hands.
My dad told teacher if you touch my daughter again, I give her permission to defend herself from bullies like yourself.
He told the school board the same thing. She only hit me one time after that. I cold cocked her upside her head with that dang ruler.
He filed greivences against school and teacher with the state to keep teachers from changing me to right handed. He won too.
I can use both hands for most things, except writing, eating, and crocheting.
I had welts on my hand and arm if I tried to use my left hand. Some of them would bleed, from being smacked so much.
I might try the group again, over the years I have gotten really good of ignoring ignorance people.
Couldn't have spent so much time in the Army if I hadn't. lol....lol....
I try real hard sometimes to see humor in life. Sometimes I make it, some times I don't.
Everybody have a good day, afternoon.evening,night.

Saturday's competition. Placed 18th. Home, unload, put everything away. Drive back in the direction I just came from to pick up a load the wife wants. Back home and unloaded.

Sunday a different type of competition. Placed 14th. Home unload and put everything away. Ice Creme for supper. Just as I was headed to bed wife told me she needs 5 tables loaded and hauled to her Mom's by Monday evening.

Monday morning. Get up a bit earlier to load the tables. After work take the tables to her mom's and set them up. Fix me a late supper and sleep though a TV rerun. Get up and go to bed. Didn't hear the wife come home. Strange how normal sounds don't wake me but if it's an usual sound I'm normally instantly wake and alert.

Your Realtor should press to buyers that buying a house is a legal contract between everyone involved.
I believe you and your husband get the earnest money when the buyer backed out.
Best wishes to you. I know it can be frustrating!!!

Looked at contract and they did sign it. They only have to put 1 percent for earnest money. Not worth the legal fees. We have decided that he is one of those people that look at property to hunt on. legally or illegally. He asked if he could put a deer stand up in 2 weeks and hunt. Realtor said not until in possession as closing was set for October 19. Archery season is all of October. He then dropped out. I think we need to put a lock on gate, signs and more purple paint because I think he is the type that he will sneak onto property to hunt. If he does come back again to buy land, realtor will require $5000.00 for earnest money. Otherwise he is out of picture for us.

Already had my walk and disposed of all rose bush branches from Monday's pruning marathon. Hauled goat grain and minerals back to goat shed. Still to do: run to hardware store for weatherstripping seal for fridge (might work), install new deadbolt, wash dogs in Dawn again for flea removal, make tuna salad. Probably should put --watch TV-- on list as the past few weeks I watch one show and am done. Just get too tired! And, of course, I have to come here!

popped into town and picked up a pre-paid visa card for online shopping.
I bought myself a nice hooded raincoat,2 cardigan sweaters, a sweat shirt, 2 blouses and a pair of cargo pants. Saved over $200 dollars with the sale today. I'm set for the cold weather now since I ordered boots earlier this year and heavier blouses on clearance from last year earlier this year also.
Its not easy being tall. Love clearance sales lol

Try being short, I hate the top shelves at the stores. Have to find a tall person, or a broom, to get anything down.

Just got home from work and got into some Easter Candy. On a sugar down. Maybe coffee. Lots of chores to do and feed the animals. Moved one of the turkey youngens out to the porch in a cage this morning. He has been escaping from the brooder and touring the house. This morning he was sitting on our rocking chair, and the two old men cats were lounging on the coffee table just looking at him. The old men cats have gotten used to a lot running around here...the African Grey parrot, our son's little dog, and a runaway duck or two.

@Terri9630 I see your dilemma on height and DH would be the man to help you get things off the top shelf or myself for that matter :) . You would be surprised how often we are asked to get things from top shelves in supermarkets and other shops for people and we consider it usual when we go shopping. I don't know why they don't have supermarket shelves for the average 5'4" ladies (or at least that is what stats are saying is the average height of women nowadays).

@WVDragonlady glad to hear you got some clothing that fits you and is the right length. Nothing worse than getting t-shirts that look like crop tops and full length jeans that look like 3/4 length and don't get me started about long shorts that look like hot pants as they go nowhere compared to the length of my legs. With t-shirts and the like I just get a couple of sizes bigger so they are the right length in the body for me so I don't expose most of my back when I bend over .

I have to get the larger sizes if I'm buying a woman's blouse to get the length right, but I find mens tshirts work just fine and are longer than womens ( why? who knows) and they're also usually cheaper than womens ( another mystery).
Womens blouses need to be at least 2 inches longer if not 3-4 inches for them to hit me at the correct place on my body that the descriptions and pictures show. So I have to go to a larger size. Very frustrating.

I just make sure I measure myself carefully and the use their size charts

Growing up I had to buy men's jeans so they would fit in the length. Womens looked like capris lol

@WVDragonlady that is indeed what I do is buy men's clothing too for work clothing in tops and also some of the puffer vests and things too as they are longer. Many times you cannot tell they are menswear anyway and you are right they are far cheaper than women's wear.

I carefully measure myself as well if buying online and find that works well and I particularly take note of the shoulder measurements having larger than usual ladies shoulders and the length measurements on everything. I am forever measuring myself but find I can get what I need if I am careful to measure everything. Shoes are also an issue as I have large wide feet again I am happy to wear men's work boots and you cannot nowadays tell the difference anyway.

They'd still be to tall.... I'm only 5'1". Still too short.
