We are going to my Mother's and pick grapes and muscadines. Then back home and pick our peppers. Tonight hubby is taking us out for a steak supper. Also going to stop by my friend's[the one that gave me all the taters and onions] to visit. She is going to have back surgery thursday.

Today we were playing catch up on all the things we needed to do after being out two days this week with viewing houses for sale, boy the house gets into a pickle when we are not here to do things.

Started off the morning with DH and I fertilising and weeding all of the garden beds. Then back inside and after a bit of a break I put on a load of washing in the washing machine and hung it on the line and while I was doing this DH swept the house for the week. Into the bedroom we went and put clean sheets on the bed and folded up 3 loads of washing and put it away and when I went into the dressing room I noticed I still hadn't hung a few things up from the last fold up so I did that. Then I deep cleaned the bathroom and toilet for the week. Moved then into the kitchen where DH washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I wiped them and put them away.

This evening I listed 9 more items in my eBay store using a free listing promotion and tonight's dinner was homemade pizza.

I'm trying to slow down on conspiracy rants so I ask to have my thread deleted in Faith Forum and Angie and company did it for me.

Today we will go to store, put plants in permanent containers and water raised bed. Clean house clean chicken pens and theri containers.

Already gone for my walk and cleaned out our little porch shed. Have burned more calories than I will take in all day. Lost 36 pounds as of today since July 11th. Go me! Have needed to clean that shed that since we moved in a year ago. Mostly it was old wood and trash from the previous owner. Two trips in my little garden cart to haul it off. Now, I can fit my weed eater and leaf blower in there. Have to go to the local grocery for lettuce and bananas. Not sure what else I will accomplish today. Have to cook spaghetti noodles for DH. Found some spaghetti sauce in freezer for him. I will be making shrimp and broccoli for me. Glad DH doesn't like seafood!

That is a LOT to lose in 2 months, @snappy1 ! So you 've gone down several sizes, I did too! Go me!
Have you tried using zucchini as noodles with spaghetti sauce? There is a little gadget you can get to put the zucchini into and you twist the zucchini. Some people saute it in a little butter or olive oil, some will lightly blanch it and others don't cook it at all, just putting it under the hot sauce and letting it sit for a few minutes is enough for them. I prefer to saute in olive oil.
I've been cleaning also.

Picked up a bale of straw for the dog's box
Did the dishes
Made cookies
Folded some laundry
Made my grocery list
I'm going to walmart tomorrow after breakfast and buying a new toaster oven. The one I have you really can't set the oven temp on it. Its ridiculous. It goes from like 250 then a space without any markings to 450. It broils great and toasts great but to use it to bake something is a pain in the rear. the one I want is digital temp settings and a turbo convection oven ( Oster XL). I use my gas stove oven if I'm roasting a whole chicken or a ham. or a pizza( love my pizza stone lol) or making a pie but for everyday baking I like using the toaster oven.
And my calculator died on me! *sigh* Hubby's mouse doesn't work anymore for some reason ( even when we replaced the batteries). something must be in the air lol
Making soup and sandwiches for supper
Now I'm going to watch some hockey or read a book I started ( To Ride Pegasus by Anne McCaffrey)

I tried it once with the zucchini and have the gadget, but wasn't real impressed. DH is the one who loves spaghetti anyway, not me. I've just been having vegetables with or a salad. I have been using corn tortillas, the small ones. I make my own taco mix without salt or MSG and had chicken tacos for a few days. And thank you! It certainly is intentional, not being sick or anything. Not sure about sizes but have lost 10" off bust, 6" off waist and 5" off hips. Just wearing big clothes for now. New ones will come from thrift store when I find them.

Thats :great: Snap, just don't lose it too fast. But that sounds about right to me. According to my doctor years ago.

I've heard not to lose it fast, but it sure as heck can come back fast, so I'm good with what I'm doing. I won't be returning to the way I ate before, just having the green smoothie once a day instead of twice, maybe. And eating real food, not processed.

Patch that sounds like a good idea. I use zucchini in place of meat in my lasagna and it is great ,gives it a little crunch if not overcooked. I do use the noodles too though, mayeb try it without them next time. All the spices and cheeses in it you can't taste the meat anyway.

Went to the feed store this morning and ran into one of my neighbors. She had a doeling come up missing out of her pasture last week so I asked if she had any news. She said yes and its not good. She lost another doeling 2 days ago and this time there were witnesses. Its a mountain lion. A rancher has been hunting it because its been shadowing his herd and has injured a couple of his cows that were protecting calves.

So now instead of watching for 2 legged thrives were watching for a 4 legged one.

Well I don't post in this thread often, but I thought I would this time. We lost our power about 30 min ago or so, so I fired up the generator and now I'm powering the freezer, fridge, washing machine (was doing laundry when power went out) I need my work clothes lol and a few lights.
My wife and daughter finished dinner by candlelight tonight.

I have enough gas for a few days but hope the power will be on tonight. They are really good at getting it back up and running fast here, I guess that's one benefit of living in town.

Dealing with a new twist with the kid. Her BP was 132/105 and her heart rate was "High"the monitor only goes to 200 so she was over that. She drank some Gatorade and layed down with her feet up and it slowly went back down to 108/64 hr70 but she has never had high anything. Even her blood sugar was 129. Its almost never over 100.

I think my hair is going to fall out. What kind of sunblock do bald guys use?

Finished cooking 4 small apple pies, 2 loaves of banana coconut bread, and I have a cherry platz in the oven. Just need to slice them up for farmers mkt in the morning. Grandkids say they're making cookies when their chores are done.
I had ever heard of platz until I started reading this blog: http://www.mennonitegirlscancook.ca/
