Today, I had the grand daughter .
She got Strawberry and me up this morning.
We spent part of the day in the kitchen cleaning.
That means she was eating in the high chair, I was cleaning.
I always date the cannister jars when I put fresh flour in them.
Couldn't find the labels with the date, so all contents which wasn't much went in trash.
Washed up glass cannisters, air dried, they now have dried beans in them.
Got a pot of beans going in crockpot for supper tomorrow.
Countertops got scrubbed, pulled everything from the wall, scrubbed everything in sight.
Regular cannisters got wiped down too.
Dishes got done.
Strawberry got treats from Estelle eating at the high chair.
Got some ham cubed up for beans that will go into crock pot too.
Along with onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Should be good.
Pot of beans, fried taters, cornbread heaven.
Have Physical Therapy tomorrow and Friday.
Will walk both of those days outside weather permitting.
Also will have Estelle tomorrow after therapy.
Will put her in stroller and away we go on Granny's walk.
Will have to put flour on grocery list for next week.
Sugar too, I think better check to be sure on the sugar.

Doing another day of castor oil in the eyes and it really works good vision, imo. Daughter ordered me a food grade with dropper last month. Can't see too well when you first use it for about an hour. No more cloudy eyes though. I know Paul Newman used it for his eyes to take the yellow out, well no yellow but do have allergy's.
Doing alot to get ready for winter and putting up food for the month.

I got the inside of the dog house done except for the floor and partition,I'll do those when I get paid. I had to cut notches out for the hinges so the top would close.

Had a small herd of elk here this afternoon. No big deal but it included this small bull with odd antlers. The one side sticking up still has velvet on it this late in the year. And of course the odd growth pointing down on the other side. He looked healthy enough.

I think I had a rough day because the meat grinder I ordered was broken when I received it and now am having trouble getting a refund from the seller. Had to reactivate a payment plan with Godaddy for our bookkeeping with eBay. I got the payment made and set up but still can't get on the website. DH is pretty sick and I am having to make him go to the doc tomorrow. Now I am getting sick. And one of my goats ate too much and isn't feeling well. Still not sleeping well (4 and a half hours last night) even though my thyroid medicine was decreased. I am a little stressed.

Then I see other folks lives and realize I don't have any problems at all! It's all small stuff! And I feel better just writing it down!

The housecall nurse to change the wrapping around husband's midline was annoyingly 3 hrs late this afternoon. And didn't call. And didn't bring the supplies we needed. Thankfully she'll only have to come two more times. Am waiting up another hour to do his IV stuff this evening. He's got a pulmonary doc appt tomorrow so we'll see how he's doing. So glad its Friday! Been a rough week running back and forth from work to home. Did manage to clean our bedroom and bathroom real well while waiting for the nurse.
Sorry about your rough days LincTex and Snappy1. Hope you and husband get to feeling better!

@LincTex sounds like you are working too hard but as with all things we have to work to get the things we need, and a backhoe in my opinion is worth it. Just be careful you don't overdo the work and get some relaxation :) .

@timmie loved the dancing icons and thank you for your encouragement been so busy here organising things I just noticed them.

@MoBookworm1957 thank you for your encouragement re the house too.

@Amish Heart sounds like you could do with putting your feet up and relaxing for a while.

Rather frantic here too today as it will be until we move getting everything organised.

Started off the morning with dropping some signed house related paperwork into the solicitors office, dropped off a what houses sold for what price book off to another real estate agent and went to the bank to withdraw the cash to pay for our second vehicle. Back home where both DH and I put on a load of washing each, hung it on the line and DH brought it back in when dry. Cleaned out all the boxes from the garage and brought them upstairs so we can start packing for our house move and also moved all the equipment around in there so DH could fit his car in the locked garage too. We filled up both cars with fuel we had in the garage and used 5 jerry cans worth.

Then DH rang to change over my comprehensive car insurance to another cheaper company and put comprehensive insurance on his car and mine, got upgrade insurance for our trailer and paid for roadside assist as well for his car. Their prices were much cheaper than the others we got quotes for as we get a multi policy discount as members of their roadside assist club. On the internet I saw fuel at a local service station for 8c a litre cheaper than others here and we filled up 4 jerry cans.

DH has just made a homemade pizza that is currently in the oven for tonight's dinner.

Shaking my head. Government...

We haven't flown for several years but I thought why not update our Driver's Licenses to the Federal approved ones? One of our children might have an emergency... Better to have them and not need them then to need them and not have them mentality. And our children have been hounding us to get passports...

License Bureau will not accept my Hospital issued Birth Certificate with my inked footprint. Must be issued by county of Birth with County seal and County bureaucrat signature. Take a half day off from work to drive to the big city...I check the Internet...I can request a Birth Certificate online for a extra $10. Works for me. Online form, my name, my DOB, my parents name and credit card info. Three days later it arrives in the mail. They have the wrong first name for my dad and my mom's name misspelled. I figure I can slip it pass the License Bureau but what about the Feds?

Back online for U.S. Passport applications. Application requires a Birth Certificate AND my parents names. I'm sure when my parents names don't match the Federal bureaucracy will put my application in the same pile as some of the USPS mail that doesn't reappear until 20 years later.

Guess I lose a half day's pay to drive to the big city, leave my 2nd Amendment right in the car before I calmly convince the powers to be that they screwed up. And could they please reissued a correct Birth Certificate while I wait?

Staying offline more these days and getting more things done around the place. Also leaving the woods now and then, I still like the city but sadly have to avoid the ' big ' cities now.
Anyway life is good .

Hey everybody… The surgery went well. Despite the fact I’d only had 10hrs sleep in the 72hrs leading up to the surgery I made everyone laugh in the OR. The attending, the surgeon and the anesthesiologist all came by for a chat in pre-op. After they rolled me in to the OR they started positioning everything. Just before they gave me the happy juice my surgeon asked “Before we proceed do you have any more questions?”

Me: “Just one” “Is this the first time you’ve done this?” Everyone died laughing…

Surgery went well, recovery was short. I was ready to go 20 minutes before they let me leave.

I checked in over at the clinic, my right eye vision was 20/30.

That evening I went to dinner with 2 people I’ve known through a support group 4 years but had never met. I’d never had authentic Lebanese food either. The lamb Kabob’s were yummy! I crashed about 9pm and didn’t move a muscle until just before 7am.

My eye was okay that night and the next morning, just the expected discomfort… nothing to write home about, I wore the plastic shield per instructions and took my drops as directed. I even stopped for breakfast on the way out of the city this morning.

I got about 30 miles out of the Big City when my eye began to really hurt. It was another 20 miles to a rest area off the interstate. By then the pain was a 3, spiking a 4.

I took another round of eye drops which helped some. As I would be passing within a mile of the VA in the big Town on the way home anyway….

I had no wait time, within 2 minutes their eye surgeon was giving me an exam… Pressure normal, no leakage, Problem – a bright sunny day was irritating the crap out of my eye. Oh, the even better news, they said my vision in my right eye was now 20/20.

They gave me a round of drops different than mine and a pair of the super stylish sunglasses the VA is famous for. I was good to go, even stopped at Publix for groceries, still got home by noon.

Dad had gotten groceries this morning also and got he and mom a bucket of KFC. I grabbed a drumstick and a slice of bread. I slept to about 4pm when the VA called to setup my follow up appointment next week. Tonight about 7pm one the nurses from recovery called to check on me… I recognized her voice and had her laughing about the super stylish sunglasses they gave me in the big town… She put the whole story in the follow-up notes.

As I sit here tonight I can see that the tiny fuzzy white blob in the bottom right hand corner of my computer display is actually the time &date. I can actually read the time and date from 3 ft away without glasses.

One eye down, one to go! :lil guy:

DH has been sick for a few days but I am leaving him alone tomorrow (with dogs and goats) to go to a Chondra Pierce show with some of my Sunday School. Have no idea who she is but it should be a fun time out and I will be back in the evening, God willing.

@Peanut so glad your eye surgery went well and you can see times and dates now instead of a complete blur and no doubt you can see lots more things than previously too :) .

@snappy1 will keep your DH in our prayers and hope he gets steadily better. That is good you are going out and socialising and enjoying yourself for a bit of a break from the usual.

Round 1 of today is that we finally have a sunny day truly amazing as we have had rain on and off for a couple of weeks now but a blessing as we didn't have to water any of the vegetable gardens as Mother Nature did it for us and everything is thriving in the gardens.

Started off the morning with DH spraying the whole house paddock for weeds and around the front of the back paddock near the 3 bay garage. While he did that I moved all the packing boxes from the house onto the front undercover veranda so we are not tripping over boxes. Then moved onto deep cleaning the bathroom and toilet for the week and scrubbed out a metal bucket with hot soapy water that I had used to clean off oil off the garage shelves with we took to the tip so it can now be reused. Then I watered all of the fruit trees and vegetable starts we have in pots on the back veranda with saved dish rinsing water.

Spent today breaking things :( Put air in the car tires and the compressor started making bad noises. Cut 1/2 the front 40 before the mower went CLANK and stopped. Afraid to touch anything else today, so I ordered the bit to take apart the compressor , and shopping for a new mower.

Went out to breakfast then stopped and picked up a couple of things at the grocery store.
Helped hubby move a metal pipe frame he used all summer as a work area. He had a large white tarp over it for shade and to keep rain off. He used the bobcat and I guided it along so it wouldn't hit the generator shed and my greenhouse lol
Tomorrow we're talking about going to a Gabe's dept store. Thats where I found my beautiful camel colored coat last year for only $25. They have brand names I've never heard of so I make sure to take a tape measurer along so I can measure things to see if they'll fit me. I know my measurements.
I plan on making a chicken potpie tomorrow for supper. Its going to be very windy and on the cool side so it'll be a good warm supper. The northwestern part of the state will be getting snow tomorrow also
