Looking at which way to go...

Got the water going in the orchard. Going to plant the grape and raspberry plants and do some more mowing. I noticed that I have a flat tire on my truck. I'll take it down today or tomorrow and get new tires put on.
We haven't seen the cattle for a few days, until this morning. They just came up the valley bellow the house. It's easy to lose track of them around here.

I’m glad you put that pup out of its pain. It’s the right thing to do.

I want to read it, too.

That’s the truth. I have to water tomorrow after the thrift store but I doubt we’ll get any rain.
Lows in the seventies is miserable.

It's about 70 degs here. Been out planting grape and raspberry plants, have 3 left. That sun is hot. Supposed to be in the 50's by the weekend. Going to meet the daughter up north this weekend to pick up the gkids. It's about a 400 mile round trip, so we're getting a hotel Saturday night. The gkids will spend the summer with us, or until I get tired of them.
I'm starting to look for an ice maker that I can put out on the back deck. Not sure where to get one though.

Portable type-big box hardware store. They work ok for drink on the deck.

Installed type for a lot of ice-Restaurant supply store.

I looked a a big one at a C business center. Warranty was only good for commercial applications, not home use.

I looked one at HD last year. It was too small and required filling with a bucket. I want one that I can run a water line to and that will make ice 24/7. May have to order it online.

Got up, worked out, cleaned up, checked the property, went to town, ran some errands, went to the range and puts holes in paper, came home and now I am making the sure the wifi is fully functional and worth what I spend on it. Its hard being half employed and half bum, but someone has to do it.

That horse will be happy to see his kids!!

70 degrees sounds pretty wonderful to me, MT Trapper, and not too hot. It's 90 something right now and hitting 100 tomorrow.
We have a countertop ice maker, too small for what you want, but I do love it.
Have fun with your grandkids.
Dentist was ugh. Debating on dentures or a ton of work done. Ben can probably weigh in on this.
Girl cats are home and recovering. The Darling Five. Ha Ha. They were hungry and ready to eat. Now to find homes for all the kittens.

Cleaning out pantry.
Doing inventory on will be replaced of home canned goods.
My little helper (Estelle) seems to think we need 45 flats of all kinds of pickles.
Including her most favorite watermelon.
But then again she seems to think we need 8 flats of watermelon jelly and watermelon honey.
And while we're making watermelon jelly, we might as well make watermelon candy and suckers too.
I'll think about it, but not too hard.

I advocate for getting them all pulled and skip the dentures. After the gums healed and callouses developed I can eat anything as long I slice it up. 4 years since I saw a dentist with zero problems. If TEOTWAKI comes I will not have ticking time bombs in my mouth.

My son just had three pulled last week. He was in serious pain prior.

Stepping down off my soap box.

Think really hard about the dentures, there's a lot more than your teeth involved in that decision from your entire digestive system to your skeletal system.

Ask an internal medicine doctor, gastro specialist, and TMJ specialist first

Earlier I was eating some red cherries they are so good!

While I was on the phone..
then I did swallow the little kernel you supposed to spit out
I said it to the friend I was talking with ..he said:

*Be careful now :p
you will have a cherry tree growing in your stomach !!* 🤣

So we did laugh a lot about it ! LOL

My Black Cherry has more limbs that it has in years, but I have not seen a single blossom.

It is very old and tall there are almost no low limbs on it.

None of the fruit trees are healthy at the farm since I have not grubbed the boxwood from around them for a couple of years, Two of the persimmons are completely overgrown, I have to take the two pole saws and cut everything back from the roads, the fruit trees and the back field. It will take a month without a backhoe.

Started to plant out the blackberries. They are the first constituents of what The Princess called an edible wall. They will be joined by Service berries, elderberry, and grape vines. The ground was rock hard because it is very dry.

It will take a while but it has started.

Ben

Out the door way to early this morning for me. Bad tired when I woke but took a friend to harvest blue vervain anyway, got a bucket full. Found some ripe black cherries while we were out. I almost never notice them because here trees get ripe randomly all summer. There isn’t a pattern or time when they all get ripe. The fruits are small and bitter so I don’t seek them out. Yep, today they tasted just as unpleasant as I remembered. But it was neat to find one with fruit i could reach. 😁
