Our friend sent s a new 70 quart cooler tyhat he fund side of the road. He also filled it with canning jars plusanother box of jars. I know we are blessed to have such friends.
[ It also means he wants soup or chili or somethimg in some of the jars.] Which he will be getting.

I hope so. She feel awful today. Always does after being out all day. Be careful with the seizures. Had a friend with epilepsy, no fun.
I am very careful when dealing with my seizures.
Been known to just sit down when feel pretty good one coming.
I usually see aura or taste them before they happen.
So far, knock on wood just minor ones.
I see the seizure doctor next month.

Cleaned out a closet early this morning that really needed it. Amazing what I found in there. Waiting for husband to be ready for dinner. I had to work late. Grandson left the hen house door open and the dogs got in and killed a number of them. He left the turkey run gate open twice recently and it was lucky the dogs didn't notice. He hasn't apologized or said a word about it. I'm not calling him for dinner.
That is rough. It is one thing when animals get in despite our best efforts. It is another thing when negligence allows this kind of carnage.

I did nothing today but lite housekeeping... Outside temp about 50... with windchill feels like 40, over cast. I watched crappy tv all day, today tv was more crappy than usual. You might say I watched crappy, crappy tv all day.

Tonight I watched the 2 disc dvd of the "Sacketts" highlight of my day. :)

Busy day today to get our wills done and we rung to see if the solicitor could be our executor and the woman said yes but when we got there our solicitor said no they prefer not to do it. Ringing 2 close friends to be executors of our will and powers of attorney should we both cark it or one is left and things and property have to be dealt with. Neither of us have reliable family and we are both happily alienated from them. Both of us will be powers of attorney and executors for the other spouse but it is good to have a back up scenario just in case. One close friend has accepted and we will ring our second friend tomorrow. Part of prepping is sorting out where things will go if we are not here anymore too.

Whilst in town we picked up 2 months worth of grocery orders, dated, rotated and packed it all in the food storage room/kitchen pantry/fridge and freezers which took about 3 hours as some things were not already in the right date order as we kind of just got it in the food storage room when moved here.

Tonight's dinner was a tuna and vegetable bake and dessert was tinned pear halves with whipped cream left over from our pancakes yesterday.

Got senior club at Church this morning. Have garlic bread in the oven and made a pineapple upside down cake last night in my 12" cast iron skillet. Turned out perfect! Also dumped 5 pints of my canned veggie soup in a small crockpot to take, also. Will drop off some soup afterwards at an elderly friend's house and stop at Dollar General on the way home. Then have Bible study tonight. Not sure what all in between.

Checked the Ranger out,it's the front right locker that isn't working causing my 4x4 not to work also found out my water softener isn't regenerating. If it isn't 1 thing it's 1 thing it's another.

P.S. My 2 Canadian Geese took off down to my neighbors and I'm not sure how to get them home.

Beats me. We're hoping they'll follow his ducks into the barn so I can catch them. The problem is getting them in my dog cage to bring them home if they do go in. If they don't follow them in I have no idea how I'll get them home. I may just let him keep them and get some different ones in the Spring. I'd still prefer African Browns, which I'd hoped they'd be,so my other 1 might be able to have young ones.

I saw something tonight I’ve never seen before. It was dark by the time I finished supper. I don’t keep sweets in the house but had a craving. I was driving over to a little store to get a snack cake or something.

Suddenly a doe jumped into the road or so I thought. It was solid white, it didn’t compute. It took me a second to realize I was looking at albino doe.

I’ve heard of them, seen photo’s but this is the first time I’ve seen one with my own eyes.

Round 1 of today is I spent copious amounts of time on the phone waiting to speak to Centrelink to change my address and house mortgage and assets details. When I got through she tried to get me to do it online but knowing that we are outback and Australia Post don't do street deliveries here I knew that would fowl up saying our property didn't exist and I was right she couldn't find it either and had to get advice on how to add our address. That is now done and my carer payments will now go down due to not receiving rent assistance, which I already knew.

Then a call to our electricity provider who said I no longer qualify for government discounts on my electricity account and after speaking to them I apparently do. I would say they cut it off as I hadn't changed my address with Centrelink. Turns out you can now get a $50 - $150 discount on your power bills if you pay in advance via direct debit and pay fortnightly so I will apply for that too once we get our first bill so it can be more accurately charged.

DH then called the solicitor with the 2 names of our executors and powers of attorney to add to our will documentation and that is now in progress and they will let us know when we have to pay and sign them in their office. He also went to the post office and picked up a parcel and we have packed 3 bags of tomatoes we froze that we were given from our next door neighbour.

Yard and shed work today and we have decided to do one large job a day in this heat. We will be working undercovr in a ventilated shed so it should be relatively cool to do that.

@hiwall Albino deer are very rare here. I found a article written by a sports writer here in the state that covers hunting and fishing. He said in 30 years he’s seen 2 photos of albinos.

I also agree with his opinion of the state Fish & Game estimate. The state says 1% of the deer in my state are albino.

There are about 1.6 million deer, that means 16,000 albinos are walking around. There would be 1000’s of photo’s over the last 30 years. Especially the last 15 years, everybody has a camera. Yet… there are still only 2 photos in the last 30 years?

My family roots here go back to the 1830’s. In my life time I have never met anyone who has seen an albino deer. I have heard only one story of someone seeing one.

I’m just glad I didn’t hit it. It had rained all day. As I was driving to the store, I hit a few patches of fog so I was driving slowly, maybe 45. Where I saw the deer wasn’t foggy, it was clear, by my cousin Kenny’s house. I had time to veer into the other lane, no longer blinding the deer. She jumped back onto the shoulder out of the highway. It was sight to behold.

I plan to call my cousin this weekend, see if he has a game camera.

Round 2 of today is that no yard or shed work got done as we got up to 37 oc so we took the better option and dunked ourselves in the rain water tank pool instead. DH washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I dried them and put them away, then we went for another dunk in the rainwater tank pool.

It was so hot because finally we got some rain this afternoon maybe about 5mm but it is all welcome to fill our rain water tanks back up again and we estimate it probably filled up half of what we have used so far. I also put rain water barrels in spots where the rain was running off the shed and gutters so we have some water to fill up our drink bottles and to water the ornamental, herb and fruit trees with for a few days too.

Bad news is our home loan interest rate is going up by .16 of a basis point at the end of the month so that will be more money in repayments for us unfortunately. Not a huge amount of difference in the repayments but it adds up over the course of a year in the scheme of things.

More cleaning for the annual house clean and purge. I also finally started to cut out a fleece jacket because I can use my dining room table! There is more to do in the dining room, including cleaning out the china cabinet, washing all the dishes, cleaning the cabinet, returning the dishes. Dining room also has a buffet to clean, a couple shelves to empty, a rug to be rolled up and removed, carpet to clean, windows to clean, base boards, light fixture. I have decided to use one of the shelves to hold my numerous genealogy 3 ring binders and photo albums.

I received an email asking me to write an article for a Czech genealogy publication. I am super flattered, but have no definite topic to write about. I have some idea, just nothing definite yet.

I stripped the 2nd bathroom down to the bare walls and floor. Took out the toilet, vanity, and cabinet, removed the old vinyl flooring and scarped the floor down to bare cement. Washed down the walls and ceiling. Tomorrow I repair some drywall, prime, paint, lay new vinyl flooring, install the new vanity, and put on a new prehung door.
First I have to drive 50 miles to take back the vanity I bought because it is to small. The hot water line is too far away from the side wall and it would not be inside the vanity. Busy day tomorrow.

When I retire I'll probably do something like that. Have you seen the index card method? I like index cards, and prepare them three days ahead. I put one extra item on the first one, and hope to start it, and complete it at least by the third day. Like clean out the worm farm trays. Tomorrow I have daily chores and a full work day, prep apples for dehydrator, buy more feed, post office and of course dinner and evening stuff. My extra tomorrow is to go to the eye doctors and pickup my bifocals. Saturdays I usually spend cleaning house, but it would be so much easier if I was decluttered first, and could do some of it each day. Ho hum.....Ever heard of that Flylady? She is popular.

@Amish Heart the trouble with a fixed rate loan over here is many won't allow you to make any extra repayments and you get massive penalties if you pay your loan out early too and the ones that do allow extra repayments only allow a very small amount of extra repayments to be made. Here in Australia you are better to ride the variable interest rate rather than fixed as the fixed interest rates are anywhere from .5 % - 2% higher. Also I would bet that the RBA will bring down the cash rate interest rate over this year as well so our home loan interest rate will more than likely go back down again due to the lack of growth in the Chinese economy.

That's wicked of them, @Sewingcreations15 , not allowing extra repayments on fixed interest.

Yes, @Amish Heart the Flylady is one. If I can find any, if I feel like it, I'll post them.
I'm cleaning my bedroom.
Tomorrow I'll probably continue with cleaning, reading Washington's Immortals by Patrick K. O'Donnell, sew, send a late Christmas package, work on my chairs. Oh I forgot about some outside stuff that needs to be taken care of too.
