How do you do a liver cleanse. I know my daughter new remedy is with lemons and baking soda. She is always doing some new thing for health. She is also the only kid that is into preps. Both her and her hubby is into health.

Google "Hulda Clark Liver Cleanse". Yes, it is with an H-Hulda.

Yesterday, I made Stuffed Pepper casserole, egg salad, and then hard boiled a few more eggs for later. Otherwise, took it easy all day--no Church, no cleaning.

Today, I have laundry going already, will roll some change - working on getting enough money together to get a folding treadmill from Walmart- and get rid of most of my - too big for me- clothes. A little ambitious, but I seem to have energy today!

I made a trip to the grocery store this morning.
And after I've had lunch I plan on adding manure to some of the raised beds to plant tomorrow. Checking the long term weather I think I can get away with planting my tomatoes and sweet peppers now.
I also have to throw a load of my laundry in the washer

Today we are doing a 2 PM upgrade for a customer. Customer and Customer's IT expert is on site.

2:15 PM I see our employee (Joe) who is suppose be on site, walking our hallways. According to our scheduling calendar, Joe was assigned two weeks ago. I ask Joe if the Customer upgrade is still on for this afternoon? Joe says he doesn't know anything about it. I recheck my email correspondence and Joe was included. I call Joe's boss. Who's doing the Customer's upgrade so I can coordinate? I'm told Joe is.

Customer can't be upgraded until I do "my thing". When I do "my thing" Customer will lose all service until the upgrade is completed. Sure glad I didn't start at 2:00 like I was told.

If this was the exception I'd have no problems. Mistakes happen. But around here it has become the norm.

2:30 PM. No word from Joe's Boss, from Joe or from the Customer. I'm assuming that it was rescheduled ... I'm on to the next project.

UPDATE: I assumed correctly. 3:01 PM. Joe's on site. Customer doesn't know anything about an upgrade today and their IP expert doesn't either.

My wife too a jar of change to Fred Meyer's a couple of days ago and used their change machine. There was no cost as long as she got an Amazon gift card. She may have been able to get a gift card for Freddie's also but would have had to use it that day. There are other options but most have a fee attached.

I went through and pulled out all the nickels before she made her coin run.

Worked until noon. Then went and had an MRI done on my back. I hurt it back in the 80's and other than an occasional round of PT, I've just dealt with it. Seems the past couple years I have noticed I have been getting stiffer and harder to get out of a chair or bed. Takes a while to loosen up. After working in the garden or most any really physical work it takes a few days to work out the kinks.
Got a call from my Dr this afternoon, and sure enough I have a herniated disc between L5-S1. He's setting my up with a specialist to figure out what if anything I can do about it.
Anyone's prayers are welcome.

Good for you and hope the new treadmill works for you.

BacP we will remember you tonight in our prayers. Take care and avoid surgery if possible but if not then get a good surgion. Hubby had all kinds of metal nuts bolts an screws in his back plus 3 cages and now his neck is going out. Praying soem good physical therapy will be helpful.:huggs:

I don't want surgery, but after dealing with this for 30 years I'm considering getting it fixed. Just gonna wait and see what the doc says.
My GP had to have his back repaired last year and highly recommended the guy that did his and he is setting me up with. If he says surgery, I will go to a second doc at a different hospital to be sure.
PT has helped when I get in bad shape, but it's never relived the problem. Just made it more manageable. But has been a life saver at times. Once it got so bad I couldn't hardly get in or out of a vehicle, let alone drive one. They had me much improved in a couple weeks.
Thanks for the prayers. I'll keep your hubs in my prayers as well.

Am up, dressed, including teeth.
Sweeper has been run throughout the house.
Dishes are done.
Trash taken out.
Bathroom cleaned and steamed mopped.
Kitchen cleaned and floor steam mopped.
Toilet got it weekly tank cleaning too.
Had company this morning that wasn't expecting.
Always glad to see oldest son, he came bearing gifts.
He's moving in with his lady, so he's cleaning out his apartment.
Today he brought his old All in One desktop.
Cause my laptop is in dire need of repairs.
Tomorrow he said something about another TV, DVD player, XBOX One.
He 's leaving nothing in his apartment .
His deadbeat roommate refuses to leave.
His landlord wants to know when his stuff is out so the Sheriff's department can get her out.
His washer and dryer will eventually go with me to new place.
Going down tomorrow to check on new place.

Blessings, quiet eve, listening to the birds...Hubby laughs when I call some of them in...so he tried to outdo me tonight...he pulled out a hand whittled bird whistle from his pocket and tried to call to them...we were in hysterics..."Look", he said, "I called in a Martin"...but it was a scissortail....again, we are laughing like old fools....I love the quietness of the eve outside...just me, hubby, and the birds..

Praying for your back, Bacpacker. Back problems are a pain. Husband is on a cane/walker because of a cyst in his back. No fun.
Had work, took care of animals, 3 loads of laundry, dinner and cleanup. Took a big bucket of sand out of our bathroom from our bathtub/squirrel episode. Planted 4 more tomato plants, and 6 more herbs in the new herb garden area. Grandkids are just coming home from their last track meet.

Hubby has been with a cane for years now. Son brought him a nice one from Thailand with a pretty oriental carving on it. But mostly he uses his regular one. Tens unit and PT and back brace at times.

@Bacpacker , my best friend since childhood daughter went to S.Florida and had her back pain with this alternative less surgery clinic. This was last year and she is still doing good. I think this is the site, will know when I talk to her tomorrow. Just something else to consider.

@Bacpacker prayers for you from both DH and I to have a good outcome with your back. DH has a bulging/crushed L5S1 so I know the pain you are going through. Prayers also for your husband too @Meerkat and also look into regular physiotherapy for him also.

DH had physiotherapy on his today and is going regularly two weekly sessions and then once a month. Tens machines work for some but with physiotherapy they have something similar to a tens machine but works on a different frequency to maintain the blood flow around the damaged area. They also use reflexology for pressure points to relieve the pain too and massage helps immensely. Well worth looking into regular physiotherapy and if you have some arnica cream (we use brauers) rub that into your back and legs when you get the radiating pain that ineveitably comes with these types of injuries. This cream sort of numbs the area naturally with herbs and then reapply when it wears off every 2 - 3 hours, try it as it doesn't work for everyone. Also high doses of magnesium and calcium also help with the muscle spasms that cause pain so worthwhile discussing this type of natural pain relief too and the doctor would recommend which doses for you to take for your particular problem. DH was prescribed 1000mg of magnesium and and one 600mg calcium tablet per day.

There are lots of alternative therapies to having surgery so discuss all options with your doctor. Pain medications such as Stellax or Baclofen also are good which stops the muscle spasms and there are others as well. Look also into core back braces to support your lower back when doing physical work as they are good too and can be specifically ordered through your physiotherapist to make sure you get the right size and fit.

I hope this helps you and do discuss the options above with your doctor and get prescribed what is right for you personally but this will give you some alternatives.

Round 1 not a lot done today as we took DH to his physiotherapy session the first one he has had since 1993 and doctor prescribed. He gets free physiotherapy through DVA because of his service injuries and says it helped immensely and he is in less pain tonight. We went and had a leasurely stroll around a small country town to see what was there as well and purchased some potatoes as well. Got home and DH was a bit sore from his physiotherapy so he and I had a couple of hours nap this afternoon as we had a big day yesterday with the plumbing leak and baling water and my back was strained also (I have lower back nerve damage).

Bit of housework to do this evening.

@Bacpacker I will be honest with you that surgery is most likely the option they will take with you as this is really the only way to fix the problem followed by rounds of lots of physiotherapy. The options above are to help with the pain but seeing as your nerves are being affected by the injury it may be time to fix it permanently. Of course your doctor will advise you on the best course of action for your particular type of injury though so follow his/her advice.

The surgery nowadays for backs is a lot less invasive and they do keyhole surgery so the down time is a lot less and there are fewer complications than in years past and recovery time a lot quicker too.
