Today, Have cleaned out and rearranged 4 more kitchen cabinets.
Final load of laundry is washed, dried, but not put away yet.
Will be setting up medicine for the next week in a bit.
Getting ready for the thunderstorms that are coming through. now.
Suppose to storm all weekend.
Setting up coffee for tomorrow too.
Tornado warning just came over the TV.
Everybody be careful out there.

@MoBookworm1957 hope you are not in the path of the tornado and you are so organised with your housekeeping which is fantastic.

Forgot to mention day before we finally had 6.5 + mm of rain and another 1.5 mm last night and our top rain water tanks are now full and flowing into our larger rainwater tank we are using. More rain predicted today so we are hoping there is enough in it to overflow the top 2 rainwater tanks and fill the bottom one up. With drought and 100 litre of water per day town water restrictions we are very happy campers. I have not had to water the gardens for 2 nights now which is unheard of.

I'll try and keep this short. My apologies if it goes to long.
I've had a very bust time at work the last 3 months leading up to the end of September which is the end of fiscal year. All the departments think they have to spend everything in their budget. We had so many projects underway I was struggling to keep up. But we have completed 4 big ones and have 2 more that will finish up next week. Most of the work on them is already done. Yesterday I had set up one of our vendors that we purchased in essance a radio repeater to allow primarily our fire department to communicate outside the building we were working on. They came to the lab and working with my crew and I did surveys with a spectrum analyzer at many locations on 3 floor of the building to start with to determine the dead areas. Then we installed one antenna and tuened on the bi-directional amp, then went back to each spot again and did the same readings. On one floor they doubled, lower floor went up 20%. Then we put in the antenna on the first floor and took the same readings. The worst had doubled, some tripled in signal strength. Using the radios at these same location, we were able to hit the external repeater in every location. I expected to spend most of today working on this too, but things went so well yesterday we finished up then. This project was a big deal to the lab, lots of eyes were watching it. So I am thrilled to have that one down. Did find out Wednesday that I'm gonna have another one of these far another factility to complete for next FY. Good thing with it I've got the entire year to make it happen instead of 2 months with 6 weeks waiting for the heart of the system.Down side this facility is very limited access and has lots of comtamination to deal with.
I appreceiate you folks listening to my rants at times bitching about the crap I was dealing with. I can actually breathe a little again.

Happy Birthday @Spikedriver !

I did practically nothing today and it was wonderful. Swept the house and regular chores. After Church clean up day tomorrow I will make brownies and cook some sweet potatoes in the instant pot. And run to local grocery for sale items.

@MoBookworm1957 Keep safe. Baton down the hatches.
@Spikedriver HAPPY BIRTHDAY :lil guy:
@Bacpacker Glad you made it through and were successful. We all have stressful times. That's part of what makes this little spot in cyberspace special- supporting each other when the chips and down and celebrating together when it's good. So since it's all good now - rock on :woo hoo:

Today we did not very much at all :) .

Started off the morning relaxing then DH and I washed the dishes, cleaned the benches and I wiped the dishes and put them away. I did a mini stocktake of the food storage room and put a few things on our shopping list.

I then watered the gardens by setting off the drip irrigation system and after noticing some wild field mushrooms in one of the garden beds I picked them for tonight's dinner to go with our steak. DH bailed some water out of the rainwater tank around the back of the tank stand shed to water all the potted fruit and herb plants with and fill up the kangaroo and wallaby water. This makes 3 days with using no town water for watering the potted plants and only one day of using town water to water the vegetable gardens with.

Tonight's dinner will be rump steak, wild field mushrooms and steamed vegetables.

It's the weekend Harvest Festival in our little town. Starting out this morning with going to the pet parade. People dress up animals and walk them through a parade. This year's theme is fairytales. Then our main road gets closed down for the weekend. Hayrides through only. Hope to start getting our garage cleaned out this afternoon.

The Mrs. is going to the spa, so I am going to receive and put away the groceries for her this morning. Then it's down to the man cave for some gun maintenance and prep organizing, before I start working on some house winterizing projects which includes firing up a couple generators that need to be tested. Plus that darn lawn needs mowed again. Eventually it will turn cold enough to stop it from growing, I am looking forward to that. I prefer blowing snow.

Thank you LL

Glad it is over and and successful BacP.:green man:

We haven't been on a hayride since around 1982. Never hear of them anymore.

@Spikedriver ,HAPPY BELATED BIRTHFDAY SPIKE.:presents:Hope you have many more.

Past week has been painful. First high BP, then kidney infection that called for strong antibiotics plus BP meds which one of the 3 caused really bad stomach ache.
Went to ER it was hurting so bad thinking it was my pancrease 'again ' which almost killed me in 1986.
Today is :great: no pain and lots of gain.:lil guy:. One of the meds was to blame for pain in stomach, infection is all gone and no more pain there. Back muscle pain is also gone that was also hurting me really bad [ shovelign too much dirt in raised beds, pulled muscle ] .

This AM I was up about 30 mintutes before I got busy weeding other raised beds and watering everything. One cup of coffee and now on cup two.
Will start Tai Chi again today since too sick and messed up to continue it this past week.

Also planted collards 30 minutes ago in rasied bed.

I've been laid up for about a Week now with a very sore Knee. I have no Idea what I did to it, all I know is that this past Monday I woke up and couldn't Walk or bend my Knee. I have a spot on the Lateral side of my right Knee that's sore as a Boil, and Ice only makes it Ache more.

Meer,
You are tough, I'll testify to that.

But , you better take care and don't be pushing it.

Glad your doing better, just take it easy.

Jim

:Thankyou: Jim I was blessed with lots of energy but sometimes it works against me.
When I don't feel like doing things I always think of the Bible verse that says ' do whatever you can do with all your might because there will be plenty of rest in the grave where you are going.' [ or something like that ].

Or you can use this quote from my grandpa and my dad.

Pace Yourself. ;):)

Sounds like inflamation and if you can take aspirin and do massage and ice that works for me. I take lots os aspirin but NEVER put it on an empty stomach and I always chew it up so a whole pill doesn't sit on my stomach disolving. It works for me but not work for everyone.
I just went through this last month and it worked. :dunno:

Of course see a dr and hope you heal soon Camo.:huggs:

Worked my usual 10 hours, plus a little OT, and then went to the Pine Cone restaurant in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin for supper. Fish Friday was good!

Oh, did I mention it's my birthday? Lol :dancing:
Happy Birthday, Spike? How did that not come up in the membership list, that it was your birthday? I did not see it there.

I think you all are right, I was on my Feet all day Sunday into the Evening Canning, so I must have pulled or Strained something, I know that my Feet and Legs where pretty tired. I'm not able to take Aspirin, but I take Tylenol which helps a bit. It's bad when you get to that Age where even your Hair hurts.

@camo2460 a soft tissue prob usually produces swelling/fluid build up. If there is none is the really tender spot on the bone? maybe a bone bruise? Those hurt like crap. I've noticed as I've gotten older once in a great while I'll get a bone bruise and not know when it happened.

It's Saturday, my favorite sport is on for the next 12 hours, college football.

I can't remember if I made mine private or just put in a fake Birthday. But mine came and went with no notice, just the way I like it. ;)

@Weedygarden It's up to the user if they want their birthday displayed or not. The settings are in the Personal Details section of each users profile.

Looks like this:
