@Meerkat You get yourself well Deary! (Please:))
Oh @Dani, you are a saint. Bless you and yours. Praying for you.

First snow up on the mountain yesterday (September 28!). I've been trying to get the garden all tidied up for winter. Need to pick a few more spaghetti squash and trim the rest of the lavender but tomatoes are pulled - except for hubby's cherry tomato. He asked me not to until it freezes. I ready to be done with mowing.

Can't believe you're seeing snow, LL. We were in the 80's today. Made a hot day for walking around the harvest fest we had here. Butchered 3 roosters this morning, then our daughters came by and we went to see the village festivities. Overpriced food and crowds, but we go every year. Next weekend starts the Balloon Fiesta and Greekfest. The city will be nuts.

Granny was much better today and and like her old self thank God! I was worried about her yesterday. Her oxyge is back up in the 98 or so range but she still had the forced oxygen. . . Yesterday was at 50, then this morning dropped it to 40 and tonight it has dropped to 35 so slowly getting weaned. I really hope she can hold her own, but they did say she may have to come home with a tank and a Cpap for night time.

She still has the heart failure which is never good at her age of 96. . . . Nitro patches have been placed on her chest. Not sure if that will have to continue or not. She did get to see all of her grandsons today. The great grands would have been too much for her right now although she was wanting to.☺☺ Her other son came too and is staying the night with us.

I did go to work for inventory but stayed an hour over just to get some extra stuff done. This last storm shut down our competitors so they shopped with us and cleaned us out of some products. Stayed to do some production.
Going back to the hospital in the morning.

No rain since 24aug... heat index was 100 today... Everything outside is baking. Nothing else to do but watch pro football, then nascar, then more pro football...

I worked on some medicinal plant posts for here, doing some background research, seeing if there is new news in the plant world... there is some but it's bad... Botanists seem to be coming after plants, renaming some... Too soon to really tell but I found 2 medicinals that had been re-named or classified in such a way as to denote a negative connotation for no apparent reason. Like I said... to soon to tell, could just be a fluke but it's hard to trust anything coming from the powers that be no matter how small. My internet connection has been flaky all afternoon and evening so I shelved that research for another day.

Tonight after it cooled off some I got all the trash out and down to the road for pick up tomorrow. Had several boxes that were cluttering up my living room and kitchen. I can finally walk again.

I also pulled a bunch of files off my backup desktop (XP), been meaning to do that for a while.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Wife just asked me where to go eat today.

I said do we have to go out?

Just seen weather report....95 ,98, 96 for next 3 days ...record breaker everyday.

@Peanut , stay inside till this ends.

I'm starting my proper diet and exercises for my next knee replacement on Nov 20th.
Gotta get them muscles built up .
And, drop 10 lbs.

Uuuugghh.

Jim

Still cleaning out kitchen cabinets, drawers.
Still can't find some of my dishes, silverware.
Will Swiffer the dog hair up tonight.
Got a dab of dishes to do up.
My big plans tomorrow is give the shower a good scrubbing.
The refrig is cleaned out, shelves scrubbed, outside of refrig scrubbed too.
Hopefully will be able to get up early enough to get my 1500 steps started now that my right knee cap has finally popped back into place.
1500 steps is considered easy day, will probably be more but who knows.
Depends on knee.
Have started lifting weights with both legs, building muscles, strength for next knee surgery.
Will finish washing down all the outside kitchen cabinet doors in a bit while supper cooks.
Still trying to drop that last 25 pounds then will be in middle of Army weight.

Yesterday we were all over the place with DH having a physio appointment and then in the afternoon a psychiatrist appointment. We got back the results of the brain scan and something unexpected came back is the DH has a 6mm brain aneurysm on the right side of his brain, not good. His mum died at 55 of a sub cranial brain hemorrhage and his grandmother at 56 so having a family history of this is worrying.

We then went to buy our new lounge recliner lounge chairs, put them in the trailer and brought them home, and set them up last night wow do they make a difference. You don't realise how much the others are worn out until you sit on new ones. These are much higher off the ground, longer for us tall people and the height makes it easier for DH to get in and out of them with his back injuries.

Today we are going for another cerebral angiogram to test his brain to see what type it is an whether it poses an imminent threat of rupturing. My guess is that they will fast track him into getting it operated on ASAP with his family history. He had been experiencing both headaches and pressure behind the eyes for some time as well as eyesight problems. His blood tests came back fine but he will likely get some more to test for other medical problems he has with the doctor to confirm what is going on there. He is now seeing why I was worried and wanted (forcefully pushed) him to get these head scans done as I was seeing some worrying signs being an ex nurse.

He has just booked another appointment with our doctor for Thursday of next week to get the angiogram results so we can move forward on a treatment plan for him.

Sewing, for you and your hubby:huggs:we are hoping and praying for yall.

Am I praying for you @Sewingcreations15 and you too @Meerkat ! I know I get wrapped up in my own little world, but I ran across these tonight. I am so sorry and wish I could just wrap my arms around both of you right now. . . . My heart is with both of you.
We thought Granny was coming home tonight. One doctor gave her the clear. . . The other wdidn't which we found out late tonight. Very disappointing. . . He wants another oxygen blood oxygen level test run. She will have a tank to come home with and had already had the guy scheduled to meet us e the house which had to be cancelled. Even her nurse thought it sounded like tonight.

My BIL went to the hospital this morning when we did to just sit with her. My hunny helped feed her breakfast and I did both lunch and dinner. My BILs wife finally showed up at 5:45pm today. . . . To start telling me everything I was doing wrong. And yet she has never taken care of Granny.

This afternoon BIL admitted his wife was scared to have her come spend a weekend. Their solution was to bring an RV to park in our driveway so they are here to "help". I have already explained before we all agreed to this that we can not leave the house for long due to our responsibility to all the animals. The only way I get a break is it I am removed from thesituation, if not, she wants me and me only. . . Granny is comfortable with me and is afraid of the unknown, but unless they give it a try, we will never know. . . . Probably shouldn't have told my brother in law to grow a set of balls and tell his wife I am in need of my own hunny time. Sorry administrators if I am crossing the line for posting that.

Life is now going to be getting harder. Her compressor will only reach so far which I don't know that distance yet.. Will find out tomorrow. Would be nice if we could place in hallway to reach her bed room, master bath and living room and put far enough back to leave room for her walker with seat so I can still just push her around Trying to keep wheels away from tubings. We will also get small oxygen tanks which I do not know how long they will last. All of my grandkids are an hour and 15 minutes to 3 hours away. If we hit traffic, will be longer. . . Would they be enough for a visit? It is already difficult going since they are not set up for handicapped and everything that is needed to take with wheelchair, walker with seat, change of clothes, special drinking cup, wipes and then extra pull ups and pads.

@MoBookworm1957 Good for you! That is a smart move - preparing for the sx.
@Sewingcreations15 Oh dear! Glad you noticed and made him go in. Thoughts and prayers to you both. Tell him I said to be a good patient or I will sic my friend SC on him :D
@Dani 2 caretakers- one for Granny and one for critters, then you and hubby take a walk someplace quite, hold hands, talk. . .

Everyone is in my thoughts also.. :)

A big grocery trip to the big town today... if starvation weren't the alternative I would never go to a grocery store...

We are getting a new store though... Don't know when it will open.

My pediatrician's office burned down as did the hospital I was born in. Not my fault! LOL

My grandpa was born at home. The Drs office burned down (with the Dr) before he filed the birth with the county and when Grandpa went to join the navy he had to jump through a million hoops to prove who he was.

Wife is going to her quarterly RA trial clinic visit. Then to Kroger . Then home.

I'll be staying in today due to record high temp in history for Oct. 98 deg forecast.
I'll be calling VA to clear up a bill I got from some doctor at hospital when I had knee surgery. They just can't follow billing instructions.

Fun day.

Jim

Thank you everyone :), and we got DH's angiogram done today which will tell us more accurately what size and type the growth is. He didn't have a good time of it with his PTSD but with a rest he got through it. We have spoken to our doctor friend about options and because of DH's family history they would most likely fast track an operation for him through public hospital or other than that we will pay for the operation to go through private.

Before we left I got a load of washing on and hung it on the clothesline to dry and DH and I washed up, cleaned the benches and I wiped the dishes away. We then packaged the lamb mince we purchased on special for 5 more meals for the freezer. I did all the end of month financing and the start of this month and paid extra off the mortgage and allocated money to bills, extra savings, electricity and groceries.

@timmie thinking of you and @Dani it is good they are keeping her in until they make sure that she is right to come home. Remember she is in the best of care and maybe other family members helping may be a good thing.
