Her compressor will only reach so far which I don't know that distance yet.. Will find out tomorrow. Would be nice if we could place in hallway to reach her bed room, master bath and living room and put far enough back to leave room for her walker with seat so I can still just push her around Trying to keep wheels away from tubings. We will also get small oxygen tanks which I do not know how long they will last.
My Mom had an oxygen concentrator and she was able to get a hose long enough to reach every where in the house and even out onto the porch.
Caring for an elderly sick loved one is really hard. It takes a lot of people that are willing to step up and do their part. You quickly find out who you can count on and who is worthless in that situation.
My MIL was released from the hospital and required round the clock care. She had 7 children at the time all living close and the job was pushed off on my wife mostly with a little help from her younger sister.
The others would stop by for a few minutes then leave but they were quick to claim they were helping.
I finally had enough and got them all together and ripped them all a new one. It helped for a little while then they all had an excuse.
Fortunately some of the Grand-kids helped out or my wife would not have made it.
My Uncle is almost 89 and he realized my Aunt could not take care of him so he put himself into a nursing home.
You have my prayers your life is going to be very difficult.

Thanks Teri,

It is a Godsend, she has been in remission since the first week on the trial meds.
3 years now. She has 2 years to go .

Doctor told her today to not worry about it , he would take care of her.

Jim

That's wonderful. Pain makes life so much harder.

The drug she has been taking for 3 years is now on the market, has been approved by the FDA.

It is mfg by the same company that mfgs Humira, and this drug is showing much better results.

I can't even pronounce the name . But our Rhuemotoligist is really excited about it.

I think from talking to our doctor , that my wife will be well cared for for many years to come.
They still refer to her as their poster child.

Got a whole bunch of whole wheat, hard red wheat, and ground flour food savered today. Looked at the sale ads starting tomorrow, but prices aren't good this week, except on cereal (sale plus coupon, 99 cents a box). Was listening to the Prepper Broadcasting Network today and they're doing a 52 week preparedness project. Assuming that all hell breaks loose October 2020. Anybody want to play? We could invent our own weekly doings. They're doing 20 pushups a day this week. I'll think about that one.
OK, now back to cleaning out the garage.

Went and visited my friend in the nursing home this morning and then did the monthly Walmart trip. Also hit a thrift store or two. Came home and put groceries away and made brown rice to add to the pups food. Having to water what is left of the garden every other day and boy it is hot! Mid 90's still and humid, of course. Got the Christmas cards out yesterday so I can work on them slowly. I had started slowly gaining back a little weight--5 pounds-- and am now headed back down again.

Dishes- done
Laundry washed, dried and put away-done
Strawberry has been outside the required number of times this afternoon.-done.

Still enjoying my semi vacation.
Might actually cook something up for tomorrow.

I've never heard of them. You tube?

Raised the mower deck to blow the fallen leaves off the lawns and into the neighboring woods.

Culvert inlet was covered with leaves, hickory nuts and hulls. Removed same. Outlet ditch was filled with debris from my trees removal. Used the winch on the mule to pull out the branches. Let it rain.

Of course this was all done under the constant supervision of a dumped kitten the wife is feeding. Very friendly and always underfoot.

Me either. I might do 20 pushups. I used to do 50 sit-ups and 50 push-ups every night before bed. It was so good for my back and I slept soundly. As oddly as it sounds, I can't wake up and exercise - must have coffee & wake up quietly.

I will. I can walk now with out help. Meer
This is her husband now and will update after eye Dr. tomorrow. She has really been through it the last three weeks now and I am hoping that her eye site returns soon. Thanks Jim and all for concern .

Thanks for keeping us updated Meer's Hubby. Keeping you guys and all the others on here going thru some many issues in my prayers.

Get better Meer!!
Thank you to husband.
Prepper Broadcasting has their own site and puts stuff on YouTube also.
I need to drink coffee and wake up slowly, too, LL. Don't exercise right before bed or I don't sleep. Don't watch anything disturbing, either.
Grandson called and I will have my first Great Grand Baby in April!!

Just drove the 5 hours home from Wisconsin in a monster thunderstorm that lasted nearly 300 miles from Madison to home. So I'm glad to be done with that. On a good note, I jumped on the scale right away when I got in and it said 227.8 pounds. That's the first time I've been under 230 since at least 2015, and only 3 pounds to go until my first goal weight of 225, which is 10% of my starting weight of 251. If I can reach and maintain 225, then I'll shoot for my 2009 weight of 205 pounds...with an eventual goal of hitting my 2007 (and also high school senior in 1991) weight of 175 pounds, but that's pretty aggressive to think I can get to that weight...

Skinny Spike,

Has a ring to it.

Thanks Mr Meerkat and hope @Meerkat gets back to her normal self shortly with the doctors and optometrists care.

Could well be why DH sees 9 of everything with his brain aneurysm putting pressure on his brain. He now tells me that he has had pressure behind his eyes and in his head since his accident in 1989 but never thought anything of it  and didn't tell me . Blinkin strong headed stubborn ex military men .

Round 1 of today is that we got a text saying DH's brain angiogram has the results back to we are going to see the GP tomorrow to find out what treatment plan we can put him under and what operation if any is needed. He will also now tell the doctor he has had pain and pressure in his head and headaches since the military accident.

I have put on a loaf of bread in the bread making machine and generally sat down and checked out varying things on the internet just to wind down a bit since we have been away from home for 2 days now with medical appointments for DH. DH has put on his battery operated weed sprayer on charge as he got a phone call that a friend wants to pay him to do some work for him.

@Spikedriver you will probably reach your high school weight as DH has now reached the weight he was when he was 19 again with walking and exercising. He was 135 kg (297 lbs) and is now down 95 kg (209.4 odd pounds) so that is a huge weight loss and he is 6'2" tall and not small bone wise as in big shoulders, arms and legs.

I will thank you @phideaux the diagnosis was a wake up call to him since his Mum passed away with similar problems. He is now telling me when things are not right in the way he feels now. The latest angiogram will tell us more about an accurate size and the nature of where it can be operated on and the best procedure for the neurosurgeon to take.

Here goes another compensation claim going in for his head injuries which DVA isn't going to like.
