Yeah well, from what I understand I'll need to put between $1k and $2k down at the start. And it only gets worse. My employer gives very good health insurance but the dental plan is lacking...

What about Invisiline? Wonder if they do kids?

Daughter needs some major work. Some teeth are coming in on top of others and must be removed, and the remaining teeth pulled into place, and some need to be straightened to a vertical position as they are growing forward. Funny thing is, you'd never know by her smile. The front teeth are fine, other than a small misalignment on the bottom...

We started off the morning with DH having two paid gardening jobs with one mowing job and the second a weed spraying job at a bike track. Both got done and DH was paid for one and the second will be paid on Sunday. We were going in for a medical appointment for DH anyway so the trip was paid by DVA and DH allows fuel money in each job too.

Good news is that we got the results back from the brain scan and angiogram and it appears the aneurysm is stable and has thick walls to it so there is no threat of it rupturing just yet :) . The growth is however right next to a major artery to the brain, not good. We got a referral to a neurosurgeon and as soon as there is an appointment we will get a phone call as they want a second opinion based on family history as to whether it should be operated on. As DVA had not checked anything other than the bottom of DH's back at the time of the accident I let the doctor know of my concerns there too and they did an xray of the top of his back and neck to see if there is more spinal damage there as he gets pain in those regions too. I think we have now gone over him from top to toe medically speaking.

We did a bit of shopping and got some bath sponges and then had lunch and headed home. Tonight's dinner was the other half of our lamb mince and vegetable stir fry.

I'll be dropping off the truck at my local repair shop this morning.
Oil and filter change, (3 gals of oil), fuel filter,
Replace sway bar links, replace track bar bushings , because that's the only thing in front end that hasn't been replaced.
Then go to court house and pay real estate taxes, nice surprise there ,as they went down...don't want to make you non KY folks upset , but my entire real estate tax bill on farm and all buildings is $484.00/yr.
One reason I retired here.

Then pay property taxes on car and truck, which is rediculous.

Then lunch , then pick up pickup.

Call it a day.

Made a batch of peanut butter fudge................dancing chicken

Sorry, I can't like your post.

Love home made fudge ....not with peanut butter.

I'll like your peanut butter fudge. Like any fudge. Just no white chocolate. It doesn't qualify as chocolate.
I made pumpkin spice muffins. Weren't real hard. A box of spice cake mix mixed with a can of pumpkin. Bake at 400 for 18 minutes. The grandkids ate half of them after school. Got our upstairs cleaned and did some work on a section of the garage.

I spent about 30 minutes getting one of my driveway cameras to stop giving me false alarms. About 10 times today I got smart phone notifications that motion was detected, but every video was just nothing but my driveway, one parked suv, and a couple bicycles. I fixed it the same way gov't employees fix things. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, hit it a couple times, disconnected it from the NVR, reconnected it, and suddenly it started working properly again. Then I took credit for the "repairs". I have a spare camera that is going to go up if this happens again tonight or tomorrow.

@Sewingcreations15 glad ya'll got good news! Happy for you guys!

Was under the weather Jul, Aug and Sep, only cleaned a minimal amount... Started major fall cleaning today, after 5 weeks of drought dust has filled every nook and cranny and coated everything. I spent 6 hours just on the kitchen & living room. Still not done with these rooms but the basics are done. Tomorrow will be an easy day to finish up, a hard clean on the 10ft of kitchen counter left to do, then wipe down small appliances. 20 minutes to wipe down the wood in the living room with lemon oil and I'm done... At least until I start on the bath and hallway. ;)

Thank you @Bacpacker and @Peanut it was a big relief to hear that the growth is stable at least for now. Must be a bit worried as we went for lunch and I said I wanted mayonnaise on my subway but it was avocado I wanted , she must have thought and did look at me like I had lost the plot.

This morning so far DH has stain removed a load of washing and hung it on the clothesline to dry and I have just stain removed DH's work clothing from the mowing and spraying jobs he did yesterday and put on another load of laundry that is almost finished and then I will hang it on the clothesline to dry. I have also set off the grey water sprinkler to water some of the lawn and star jasmine in the back yard with water pumped from the grey water tank.

Just got DH's DVA fuel and meal allowance in for the the medical trips we did over the last couple of weeks. I allotted the fuel allowance, which is far more than we pay for fuel to the emergency fund in which we are endeavoring to get up to 3 months living expenses and the rest into another account to pay for the meals on medical trips that we do for DH. It does make a lot of difference when running around and that we are a fair way away from his appointments to sit down and have a decent meal before we head back home again.

Almost up to having half of our 3 months living expenses in that emergency fund :woo hoo:and are saving money besides and paying our mortgage off at a faster rate too.

Round 2 of today is we went to the RSL for our weekly date day and had a few soft drinks and had some great conversations with some locals. Came home where I had intended to clean the bathrooms and toilets for the week but neither of us really felt like doing housework but we did take the two clean loads of laundry off the clothes line and DH watered the gardens, potted herbs and fruit trees.

Had to remove the freezer from the mechanical room yesterday after inspection.
Bummer! Cause it was partially full.
So it had to be emptied.
Had to rearrange furniture in dining area to place the freezer in there.
So emptied jelly cabinet in dining area. moved empty jelly cabinet into bathroom.
Refilled with towels, washcloths, shampoos etc.
Moved the wheeled cart that was in the bathroom.
Put all stuff from wheeled cart into jelly cabinet.
Wheeled cart now has sewing, quilting supplies in it
Emptied totes are in the mechanical room.
Had to remove concrete pavers that the freezer was sitting on so it wouldn't clog or block the water heater drainage pipe.
The concrete pavers are now outside after I pulled weeds this morning.
So eventually if I get smaller grill it will fit on paving stones and back patio better.
Freezer is now in the corner of the dining area, refilled last evening.
Was invited to dinner at oldest son's house last evening.
Went to dinner at oldest son's house.
Had company from Texas while house was messed up.
Last week had company from Arizona.
Half way wondering whose showing up this week.
House is just about put back together.
Trash has been taken out.
Floors dusted.
Wheeled cart is going into mechanical room when not in use.
Got a dab of dishes to do. Later.
Might ought to cook something too.
See you later.

Today ....fall has arrived.
67 deg on front porch at 10:30 am.

I wear a compression sock on my new knee leg , and last night while taking it off , I twisted my knee really bad, I guess I pulled a muscle or tendon around the knee , and was up all night with pain. Crazy.

So I been doing the heat ice therapy, is feeling better.

May go shoe shopping today after all.

Fed the animals, went to the post office, dropped off a trunk load at the thrift store, went to Walmart (I never shop there) to see about their canned corn prices. Our baby fowl eat a lot of it, and the prices now are terrible. So their Great Value (cheapest) brand was now 50 cents a can. I bought 4 cases. Found their #10 cans of canned corn for $3.98 so I bought all 8 of them. Sams raised their prices on #10 can corn to $5.98 a can. It is crazy pouring outside, and husband wants me to meet him for lunch after his pulmonary rehab. Guess I'll brave it. The ducks are enjoying it, they don't care.

@Sewingcreations15 Glad to hear good news under the circumstances.
Jim - and all this time I thought you were so normal - you don't like PBfudge! Yum! Good to hear you are getting autumn though after the heat. And take care of that knee.
@MoBookworm1957 Now that the house is put back together, you'll probably have no company. They will wait until you are in the middle of another rearrange:)
@Meerkat Take care of you - hope someone figures it out soon.

Wednesday night was a hard frost (sorta,) enough to do in the squash plants so picked all the spaghetti squash I was leaving on the vine to ripen. Hopefully they will ripen off the vine in the summer kitchen. I've been cleaning up the lavender plants - 3 more yet to go. Two trips to Lewiston, ID this week and will head back over Monday. That's too many hours sitting in a rig. I have a pile of ironing to do, floors are a disgrace and yard/garden needs tending before severe weather and really, I would just like a nap:) Will see what I can get done this weekend.

Woke up exhausted, did too much yesterday, so no cleaning today... I've mentioned a small cat I had fixed for my dad as his barn cat... Sometime last night the highway got another one...

I blame it on all those feral cats (36 gone so far). Dad's cat never went any where but the house or barn until the feral cats showed up... They taught her bad habits.

Getting dinner ready now...

Dishes are done.
Put on pot of 15 bean soup, it's simmering on the stove now.
Will finish harvesting the herbs in the washtub herb garden.
Get them into new dehydrator in the morning.
Will move the raised beds in the morning closer to apartment in the morning.
Unless it is raining then will wait.
Don't know if it will rain or not tomorrow. lol...lol...
Only got 100% chance of rain tomorrow.
Started over reading all the forums.

Paranoid Much? I left home about 6:45pm/1845hrs. Its quiet out here in the evenings so anything unusual really stands out. Before getting in my truck… In the sky, north of here was 6 to 10 aircraft that I could hear loud and clear (not visible). Every dog within a mile was barking.

These jet aircraft were doing extreme maneuvers, seemed to be in groups of 2 to 3 changing. My guess they were 20K to 35K ft high. The heights were also changing rapidly… This lasted about 3 minutes.

Then, as suddenly as it started… silence… really strange! The dogs, including mine were still barking though.

Paranoia aside… I had to run down to my grandmother’s house. She turned 99 a few months ago. She’s heart breaking, has had dementia for about 8 years now. Doesn’t know anyone. She did laugh while I was there. I was telling the story of the old safe and the bank robbery to my aunt who had never heard it. At least grandma had a good laugh anyway, no way of knowing what she found so funny. I dropped off a movie I had ordered that I wanted my aunt and her sisters to see, she only has 7.

Anyway, it was nice to see grandma again, its been a few months. It’s just so heart breaking to go down there.
