@Spikedriver you will probably reach your high school weight as DH has now reached the weight he was when he was 19 again with walking and exercising. He was 135 kg (297 lbs) and is now down 95 kg (209.4 odd pounds) so that is a huge weight loss and he is 6'2" tall and not small bone wise as in big shoulders, arms and legs.
It will be tough to hit my 18 year old weight. I had a 32 inch waist and a 42 inch chest then. But I think my chest and shoulders filled out in my mid to late 20s. I know in 2007 at age 34/35 my body was different than it was at 18 even though I was the same weight. And I'm sure the spare tire will be harder to lose this time around...

Ah I will say @Spikedriver even if you get down to the same weight your waist will probably be bigger than it was before well that is the case with DH anyway but he has had his back muscles cut during his back operation so nothing is going to twang back the way it was before. We all spread sideways as we age and waist and hip measurements are usually larger.

@Spikedriver Good job! It does take determination and you're doing it :green man:
How tall are you? Teenage boys are usually lanky. Don't get too thin. Be healthy (I know I don't need to say it but its evidently a me thing.)

@Sewingcreations15 Wishing you two the best and many blessings.
@Meerkat Stay stubborn- you can lick this!

I'm about 1/4 inch shy of 6 feet tall...

Thank you @LadyLocust must admit even though I am not telling DH I am worried, with his family history he is a ticking time bomb or as our doctor friend said on "borrowed time". The sooner they get him in to have it operated on the better I will feel as the growths can send out blood clots to the brain and cause major strokes or worse.

@Spikedriver your weight depends on your bone structure too the larger your frame the more you will weigh. Go on advice from your doctor about the ideal weight you should be.
In May 2007 I weighed 172 pounds and still had a little bit of my love handles left on my waist. I had been up to 225 before that. I'm pretty confident that 175 would be healthy, and I probably could go to 165 without it being a problem. I weighed in at 168 before my last high School football game in October of 1990 and I was well proportioned then, not skinny or ribby. I doubt I'd want to be below 165. Actually I'd like to add 10 or 15 pounds of muscle but my weird work schedule makes it hard to hit the gym...

Congrats @Amish Heart ! Maybe it will be on April 10th. I hear good people are born that day;)
Also, thanks for the info. I guess now I have to go do my push-ups.
PS- hoping @MoBookworm1957 does really well at bingo tonight.
I won at Bingo!
I can go back and play next week on my winnings tonight.

Just drove the 5 hours home from Wisconsin in a monster thunderstorm that lasted nearly 300 miles from Madison to home. So I'm glad to be done with that. On a good note, I jumped on the scale right away when I got in and it said 227.8 pounds. That's the first time I've been under 230 since at least 2015, and only 3 pounds to go until my first goal weight of 225, which is 10% of my starting weight of 251. If I can reach and maintain 225, then I'll shoot for my 2009 weight of 205 pounds...with an eventual goal of hitting my 2007 (and also high school senior in 1991) weight of 175 pounds, but that's pretty aggressive to think I can get to that weight...
Congratulations!

Thanks Mr Meerkat and hope @Meerkat gets back to her normal self shortly with the doctors and optometrists care.

Could well be why DH sees 9 of everything with his brain aneurysm putting pressure on his brain. He now tells me that he has had pressure behind his eyes and in his head since his accident in 1989 but never thought anything of it  and didn't tell me . Blinkin strong headed stubborn ex military men .
And women

Get better Meer!!
Thank you to husband.
Prepper Broadcasting has their own site and puts stuff on YouTube also.
I need to drink coffee and wake up slowly, too, LL. Don't exercise right before bed or I don't sleep. Don't watch anything disturbing, either.
Grandson called and I will have my first Great Grand Baby in April!!

Congratulations!!

Round 2 of today is that DH cut up the 2 lounge chair boxes to put in the bin and we still need to tidy up the cardboard everywhere. DH has watered the gardens.

Dinner tonight was the stirfry vegetable and some of the lamb mince we bought on clearance special for just over half price. Dessert was free and a sample of tinned peaches in natural apple, pear and grape juice I got for being a taste tester for a supermarket. The peaches were really nice with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

I respectfully disagree with getting advice about weight from Doctors. I am 6'2" and 240#. I am not overweight and still lift weights 3-4 times a week. Every time I have a physical the Dr's complain about my weight because the "chart" says I am borderline obese. So every time I get scheduled for a body fat test and I end up in the 11-13% range, which according to their "other chart" says I am in the ideal range for my age. Then they sit there all confused because how can I be obese and at the ideal body fat percentage at the same time. So they list me as borderline obese anyway and then my health insurance company starts calling wanting me to go on a weight loss plan. I always ask them which leg they want me to cut off. Once they even sent a weight loss coach to my office to meet with me. She looked at me and said I must not be the right Sentry18. Most MD's are like modern teachers, they only know what the book says.

I haven't been in this thread for a while and just saw that you are having some eye problems. I hope they figure out what is wrong soon, so that you can get on with your life. :huggs:

Just having a little coffee this morning at my church's coffee shop. It's a fairly tough Mexican blend.:D Now I'm getting ready to pay bills and take my daughter to the dentist this afternoon. She's getting x-ray pictures of her teeth to send to the insurance company, because they don't think she needs braces...but she has several teeth that are all out of whack. We'll see what happens...

I hope they line up on their own. I just dropped $5K putting braces on my 11 year old and 2 years ago had to drop $7K on my teenage sons braces. Both times hurt the old saving accounts. I told the lady at the Orthodontist's office that they could have at least taken me out on a date first and told me I was pretty before [doing you know what] to me.

Yeah well, from what I understand I'll need to put between $1k and $2k down at the start. And it only gets worse. My employer gives very good health insurance but the dental plan is lacking...

Understand totally about doctors @Sentry18 they still classify DH as obese now but he is just muscly and big built and is the same weight as what he was in the military too. I think we know what weight we should all be by the past and what we feel comfortable with but the doctors have a different idea all together and yes the books are their go to.

There are sites online that give you guides per height and body weight too which are pretty spot on.

Just helped our daughter last week with braces for the grand daughter.

We gave her the up front payment , $1000.00.
Total is little over $5000.00.
Which we will be helping with some not all of that.

Both are working , have good jobs , 2 kids in HS, they struggle

Spent the morning trouble shooting the ENDOMAG Pmag to 9mm conversion. BCG would only close half way. Reread manufactor's instructions, watched Youtubes with no luck. Converted a second Pmag, same problem. Loaded a mag with ammo, same problem. Remove the BCG from the upper and mate it to a converted Pmag. Appears the left side of the ENDMAG is a bit too large, used a hobby knife to shave a little off at a time until BCG closes all the way. Now that I know I'm on the right track I shaved the second conversion too. Now it's too late to test the 9mm build.
