Watch out for ink pens in that new dryer! About a month ago I was doing laundry for the folks. One of them left an ink pen in a pocket. It took a gallon of acetone and 2 days to get all the ink off the drum.

At the hospital now, no sitter for dad until 11pm, so they say. Prepared to stay all night if need be. Watching the sb, nothing else on. Dad sleeping.

Yah, @Meerkat we used to have clean wet cloth diapers draped all over the place too. lol
@Peanut will do. Sometimes I may have a pen in my pants pocket from work.
I hope you can get back home and get a good night's rest tonight with no danger on the roads. On second thought, maybe you should stay put.

Patch could you just imagine parents doing that today?.

@Peanut I second what Patch said.

Good for you @MoBookworm1957 a month already. Still tender an sore, inflammation is there as long as the incision is red.
But I'm betting the pain is much better, not gone totally , but less.
I'm 10 weeks from second one and it's still a little sore, surgeon said inflammation will last a year then be gone.
I don't pay much attention to either knee now except at night.

We will survive , and be much better.

Oh, btw I took a long walk around the pond twice today. Felt good, no pain.

Jim
Pain level is about a 3 most of the time.
Just get really stiff, achy.
Incision isn't red.
Normal flesh color.
Those little tape things are beginning to fall off.
One side of knee is more tender than the other.
Right knee is still slightly swollen on outside of knee.
Just in one spot though.
So back to icing it, elevating it either with pillow or that handy dandy little machine.

Received a couple awards this morning, unexpectedly I might add. Received my 5th Patriot Award award from the ESGR for supporting our Army national guard employees and I also received a meritorious unit citation for my work in intelligence. More stuff for the shadow box when I retire guess. I should have known something was up when I accepted a meeting request for this morning from a Captain that was pretty vague as to what the meeting was about. And then he came into my office 15 minutes before the meeting and engaged me in chit chat before inviting me to follow him to the conference room.

Congratulations Sentry.

The pup is up to 3 tablespoons per feeding now. Fat rolley polley thing.

Today is the first day since Sept.27th I've been alone .Hubby went to Dr.and feed store for chicken ,dog food.I insisted on being left alone I can't stand trips since sun bothers me in glare yet it helps me in shade .
Not being able to drive is very hard andit gets to me big time some days.

Today I'm vacuuming, mopping and doing it all by myself without watchful eye. Listening to music too.:) Me and the ol janitors mop do a little jig now and then.:dancing:

This morning, I did a video, took 2 dogs to the vet for nail clipping--Oreo has to be muzzled and with our hand tremors, we can't do it anymore. Then went for my walk. Was over 10,000 steps at 11 am--that's a first! This afternoon, I am making vegetarian chili, hummus for my celery sticks, salads and cleaning outside of concrete block shed with bleach and water to remove mold. Should be tired by then.

Congrats Sentry

Good looking pup Terri. Sounds like your doin a great job with it.

Weird day for me so far. Got up and went to work. Boss sent me to medical to have them check me out before I got started. Went there and they wouldn't see me without a note from my Dr. SO I left, went to Dr office and headed back to work. Looked at the note and realized it was thru today. Return tomorrow. Told the boss, packed up and headed back home. Go back in and to medical in the morning. But I won't be surprised if they send me back home for some period after I tell them the story.

Sitting around.
Doing home exercises.
Using that handy dandy little machine for extra help straightening that leg.
Transportation forgot me this morning.
I had already cancelled my PT appointment.
It was 10:30 when Transportation realized they hadn't picked me up this morning.
My PT appointment is at 0845 am hours.
Whoops!
Crocheting on my third baby hat this morning.
Been working with the cane this morning.
Walker is in the other room, out of sight.
I'll use it if I need it, but don't want to get dependent on it.
Just puttering about.
Got to take out trash in a bit.
fold and put away laundry.
Life is good at the moment.
Terri that is a roly poly puppy.

Drove to the hospital tonight to sit with dad because I didn’t hear from the nursing staff about a sitter. The sitter showed up 10 minutes after I arrived to stay until 7am. (grumble softly)

I appreciated the sitters so much because my niece and I can’t be with dad 24/7. Tonight a phone call would have saved me driving about 50miles one way and then back home. It’d be nice if someone had called.

I did need to get some groceries so I stopped for those on the way back home.

The big box store called this afternoon and said my new stove is now at the store, it arrived! Yea! The delivery people are supposed to call me Wednesday morning to set the time and deliver that day.

I got all my laundry done today and shirts ironed. My niece called and said she is going to bail on me Thursday morning… She won’t be able to stay with dad again until Monday, if then. At least I’ll have clean clothes for a looong stay at the hospital. I wish there was a cheap pay by the week hotel near the hospital. It’d be nice to fix sandwiches, stick something in a microwave or crash when sitters show up without all the driving back and forth. I can't see to drive at night as well as I used to.

Anywho… about all that’s going on here.

American Heritage Girls night. Older granddaughter had woodworking tonight. She made a candy dispenser. Younger granddaughter is working hard to empty the dispenser.
Watching the (not happening) caucus results. Wondering if they'll blame it on Trump. I think the result was a surprise, not what they expected. So they're counting it lots of times.

I don't know any results of the caucus. Have not a clue what's going on in tv land. I want to know the surprise, @Amish Heart . Does this belong in the political forum?
Having one of the worst days in a while, that's what I'm doing.
Oh, that's right, they really are more frequent than I realize. I'm tougher than I realize, stronger than I think I am, but that doesn't even have anything to do with anything. It's okay to be sad and mad.

It is ok to be sad and mad. I was moody all day, mostly because husband woke up hardly breathing, and went to work anyway because it's his last full week. I felt so bad for him. BUT. Get a good night's sleep and I hope tomorrow is better. If not, get in the car and come over. We can hang out.
No surprise yet on the caucus. No results. These idiots don't know what to say to fill the time. And CNN thinks we're all a bunch of rednecks??

I wish I could cruise on over, woman. I'm doing a little better.
Your husband not doing well, that really sucks. It must wear him out to be like that and try to function at a job as well.
Last night I did not sleep well, rarely do anymore. And I can only take so much of trying to be happy when I feel like my world is crumbling around me. I am sure I am not the only one here who is going through rough times in some way...if not health or physical issues, family problems, relationship problems, kids or pet problems, livestock or crop issues, insurance, medication, employment, unemployment, money, extended family, grief...If you don't have any problems, don't worry, you will.

Like my kitchen sign says, "FREE SOUP KITCHEN Praise the Lord and Stay In Line" Your turn is coming soon!

I think we went for a few years practically flat lining with no problems. Wasn't uphill or downhill. Oh, things weren't the greatest, but nothing was happening, nothing really bad, but nothing really good.
Then, the flood gates opened.

Yesterday we did a trip to DH's physiotherapy appointment and dropped into do some shopping and look for specials. Not many specials or markdowns that we needed so just picked up on half price specials one each of mouth wash and milo.

Got home and DH had a nap and I watered all the potted fruit trees with saved rainwater and set off the drip irrigation for the gardens. It rained a few hours later so I needn't have used the town water after all to water the gardens with. DH made a mince stir fry for dinner last night.

This morning we slept in as we have had so many appointments away from home early in the morning so clearly we needed some more sleep to catch up.

We then cleaned off a smaller 3 shelf unit in the food storage room and moved it into the kitchen and moved one of the larger shelves where that one was and cleaned it off. We put all our personal care products on the larger shelving unit in the food storage room where they fit a lot better. The smaller shelving unit we got from the food storage room is now holding all the appliances we had up on top of the kitchen cupboards and I have cleaned all the appliances and the top shelf of two kitchen cupboards off and put spare breakfast cereals in the food storage room.

Had a break for lunch and DH has had a nap and we are having a cup of hot chocolate before we get back into cleaning the rest of the two kitchen cabinets out. It is raining outside and rather cool now so the best time to do a deep clean in the home. We have been working room by room to deep clean off all the drought dust off everything and clean everything else too.

I love how you cover all the bases of people who are being challenged right now and those who are doing well. I read all of the concerns that people are having and am glad I am not alone. I am not one to share all my problems and concerns.

We have been getting snow, and places like Boulder and Fort Collins got 10 inches. We did not get that much snow. I got up and started coffee, and then went out and shoveled my street side, sidewalks for everyone on the block. They do it for me frequently, so while I was at it, I just kept going. It is light and fluffy snow and I mostly just had to push the snow shovel.

Made it back to Pueblo. The weather and the idiot Denver drivers made the 3 hour trip take 5 hours. Tomorrow we will unload the train, then drive 12 hours back home to Iowa. In a snowstorm, again...of course...

Idiots is right! I am sure there are idiot drivers everywhere. Denver had 169 accidents last night, weather related. Bald tires, not paying attention, and too much cell phone activity are probably the main contributors.

Someone needs to make a large batch of bumper stickers again, "Hang up and drive!" I have thought that it would be fun to have an electronic sign on the back of the car that flashed this as well, not directed at anyone in particular.

Cleaned out and re organized my in house pantry this morning. Took 2.5 hours. I looked at the time and I was supposed to be at the shop getting a haircut in 5 minutes so grabbed my purse, locked the door and took off. Almost on time! Slowing down this afternoon.

Still haven't cleaned the concrete blocks--Maybe Friday.
