Just feeding my pig er.... puppy. She's eating 2oz every 2 hrs or so. She's very vocal when she's hungry! She actually tried to growl and bark when I took the empty bottle away this morning. It sounded so cute.

Terri I bet that was cute.
We found what we thought was a german sheppard puppy in our woods. It was full of fleas so we soaked put it in warm water and soaped it up never seen that many fleas on an animal and it was tiny little thing.
It just laid in the water from relief after fleas died. It had soem long nails 'claws' and taking it out it wrapped around our hands like a little monkey.
Came to realize it wasn't a dog but a fox. It was very young and any noise outside the door it ran over and growled and barked.
After nourishing it for a few days we took it outsode and put it in a cat carrier it did'nt want to go or leave us at all ,but next night its mama came and got it,it did'nt want to go with its mama but finally did. It loved the good food and warmth, attention and no flea biting.

Worked. Having a snack.
Dryer broke a few days ago so need to get a new or used one. Any helpful input or suggestions on that are appreciated.
They don't make them to last 20+ years anymore.
I've got a weird headache.
It's in the 60s, sunny and warm.

Patch, we have a Whirlpool large capacity dryer. So far it has worked for last 3 or 4 years.

Good for you on the weight loss MoBook, :thumbs:thats a good start. My first one was just 3 lb.s when I was on a weight loss program no carbs, miles of bike riding gardening, so that is good start, imo.
Far as iron mine is always really high and I think red wine will help with that plus it makes you feel good.
Thanks Meerkat.
Just got 8.5 more pounds to hit one of my target weight loss goals.
That;s 165, and that's the high end of my Army weight in 1975.
Then I will start on the next weight loss goal of 145 which is the middle of my Army weight in 1975.
Final weight goal is 125 which is the smallest of my Army weight goals.
But beings I have already lost quite a bit of weight, inches, shoe sizes and clothing sizes, I'm good .

@Bacpacker I need to follow up my call to lookout mtn... He gets busy and forgets to checks messages. My cough is better but I'm taking 3 herbs that are great for any respiratory issue. Usnea, Sweet Leaf and Yellowroot.

Change of plans tonight, just before I left for the hospital the nursing supervisor called and said dad had a sitter for tonight afterall. I just called and verified she was there. I'll call again at 11:30pm to make sure the next sitter is there for the late shift. If not... the truck is loaded, just have to change and drive down if need be. I need a night off, I hope the midnight girl shows up. This week we've discovered there is a shortage of sitters for patients who need someone there. A sitter just 2 or 3 nights a week would mean a world of difference for me... be able to sleep in my own bed. But... I'll do what needs doing if it means I'm there 7 nights a week. :)

Peanut you taake care too, seems this is a bad year for colds and family problems.:huggs:

Thanks Meerkat.

MoBook it sounds like you are 'good' so thats :great: and keep up the good work.

Jim my old friend how are you doing ? Have you improved really great like I hope you have? :huggs:

I think so.

All the fluid retention seems to be better.

I am feeling a bit better.

I hope your dealing with your vision problem , and not letting it get you down.

If we wake up every morning...it's a good day I suppose.

Thanks for asking.

Friday, when I saw Primary Care Doctor told her when I take pain medicine, which I don't like to do.
It made me itchy.
So she and the surgeon are going to see if they can find a pain medicine I can tolerate.
Hopefully the hives will go away sooner than later.
Especially the ones in my ears.
Peanut, I hope you get the much needed rest you need.
Backpacker, hope you whip the tiger with your cough.
Me, I just want to quit getting hives in my ears of all places.
Messes with my balance a bit.
I might actually take the pain medicine if it didn't make me itch or break out with hives.
Been walking a bit,did up a bit of dishes.
Cooked toaster waffles slathered with peanut butter and maple syrup.
Used my handy dandy little machine, slept a lot.

@MoBookworm1957 I dropped 22lbs after coming down with the flu on 11jan... But I wouldn't wish that on anyone! :D Be safe losing weight... My weight has been very erratic since summer... I've noticed I tend to lose muscle mass before anything else, also not good. :)
I thank everyone for their concerns about my weight loss.
But I have been on this weight loss journey for over 10 years now.
I finally decided to get healthy.
I was obese in the worse way.
I was so big I couldn't see my feet.
So I cut out pretty much all processed foods, changed my plate size.
Talked to my Primary Care Doctor, Dietian, exercise coach.
In this 10 years, have lost a grand total 0f 258 pounds, 198 inches and 3 shoe sizes.
I had to make my clothes before because you couldn't buy them large enough.
Was depressed, someone had to stay with me all the time.
Now this right after I got injured in the line of duty.
Doctors had me on all kinds of medicine weight bloomed up to 400 pounds.
Some of it was water weight, some was flab, most was the result of depression.
Now I weight a healthy 173 pounds.
Instead of wearing 6XXXL, homemade circus tents tops, dresses.
I wear off the rack size 12 tops and pants.
My shoe size went 8.5 wide with to kid size 4 shoe, boots.
My first 5k race is in March if I can get my right knee loosen up enough to participate.
I'm a tough old Army Broad.
Instead of taking 150 pills a day.
I take 1-5 mg of blood pressure pill.
1 -81 mg asprin, soon will be taking iron tablets.
Don't like blood transfusions, I have tiny veins.
I take no more seizure medicine and haven't in 4 years.
Beyond me why you prescribe seizure medicine to some one that has seizure and the number one side effect is seizures.
We couldn't tell if I was having the seizures or the medicine was making me have the seizures.
Quit taking the medicine, guess what the Grand Malls seizures let up.
Now I have petite grand malls.

While I have been lazy today.
Been crocheting baby hats for the local Mennonite church.
The ladies are having a hard time meeting the demands of their church mission.
They asked for help with simple baby layettes.
So my knitting and crochet class offered to help.
Normally I help with the blankets, but thought I would try to help out with hats too.
Another lady in my group normally helps with hats, she's making some blankets.
Our teacher said he would give extra credit for helping out.
Extra credit or not we would have helped anyway.

Round 2 of today is that I did get the 2 bathrooms and toilet deep cleaned and while I did that DH folded up two loads of washing and put his and the sheets and towels away and I put my clothing away. DH then washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I wiped them and put them away and I put on a loaf of bread for the day which is now finished and DH had some for lunch.

Just finished hand watering the potted fruit trees with saved grey water from the tank stand shed and watered the vegetable patch with town water from the drip irrigation system. We then did a scripture study lesson together and shortly I will take down the rubbish and DH will take down the recycling to the bins.

Tonight's dinner will be bacon, egg and mushroom sandwiches.

@Bacpacker you are to leave that lung where it is and don't cough it up as two are handy let me tell you :) and glad you have stopped wheezing so you are on the mend gradually.

@phideaux glad the fluid retention has eased and you are feeling better.

@Peanut hope the sitter comes in tonight for your Dad so you get a bit of a break that no doubt you need to relax a bit.

@Terri9630 glad pup is gutsing down it's milk it is a good sign it will probably survive and sounds like it has the willpower to do it.

@MoBookworm1957 good on you for all the weight loss and determination you have put into it. I am about halfway between your 125 - 145 goal in weight ;) at 5'7" tall and somehow lost 3/4's of an inch in height somewhere along the line. I also took myself off seizure medication and it stopped my grand Mall seizures and I too now only have petite mall ones. My hand co-ordination is also a lot better although I still have throwing things sessions every now and again. Used to joke I could make a milkshake without a milkshake maker.

Yes, yes you are.

Crocheting on my second baby hat this morning.
Got a small crock pot of chili going.
Already used that handy dandy little leg machine this morning.
Been ambling through the apartment picking up.
Still got laundry to put away.
Thinking about "Splurging" on Pizza Hut Pizza box meal.
Haven't had PH pizza in about a year.
And it's a month today, since I had my second knee replaced.
It will be a while for the crock pot chili to get done.
Sipping coffee, crocheting.
No tv is on, no radio just listening to the silence.
Peaceful.

Good for you @MoBookworm1957 a month already. Still tender an sore, inflammation is there as long as the incision is red.
But I'm betting the pain is much better, not gone totally , but less.
I'm 10 weeks from second one and it's still a little sore, surgeon said inflammation will last a year then be gone.
I don't pay much attention to either knee now except at night.

We will survive , and be much better.

Oh, btw I took a long walk around the pond twice today. Felt good, no pain.

Talked firearms with a friend while waiting on the wife.
Take wife out to her choice for lunch. Placed was packed and she didn't want to wait.
Take wife out her her second choice for lunch.
Ran into mother-in-law (really nice lady), sister-in-law and great nephew at resturant.
Home. Change clothes and collect eggs.
Nap.
Bowl of ice creme.
Watching super bowl.
Face Book. Friend wagered $1,000 that his Steelers would not lose! I bet him $2,000 they don't win.

Lots of work Sewing:thumbs: good for you. Also very glad you like MoBook got off the high dose meds that made things worse. :great:

Got a new dryer and took apart the wiring and cord off the broken one and got it hooked up to the new one. Attached vent.
:woo hoo:
Go me.
Now we can get some laundry done and it won't be crispy stiff from drying in the house.
Daffodils blooming in the yard, can hear robins singing.

Patch glad you got a dryer and and won't have to hang clothes around now. :great::thumbs:

thanks, Meer. I disliked the way laundry smelled hanging it outside the past few years...like a wet dog on dry laundry. yuck.
Don't like feeling spoiled, could have gotten a used one I guess. Grateful I was able to get one.

I've done that with diapers hung all over the house. Even worse was stmping them clean and rinsed in the bath tub.
I hope the dryer works good and no more house drying. We us to have little clothes drying racks to hang them but they didn't hold many clothes.
