Took the grandkids to town to open a savings acct for them. Encouraging them to save money for a car. Tomorrow is the first day of High School here for them and they are anxious and exciting. It's been since March since they had school, and this is a new state. At least here they can go in person, for the time being. Granddaughter had work. We went to the thrift store, the hardware store, and the Mennonite Salvage store. After lunch, loaded up the old truck with all the tires it could hold, and went to the dump. There's still a stack of them here, for the next load. Stopped by the Amish bulk store after the dump (husband wanted a deli sandwich there), and got a bunch of empty pails and lids, some ranch and italian bulk dry mix, more yeast, and odds and ends. They were cleaned out of canning lids. Was just there last week, and there must of been a dz sleeves of over 200 of them. So someone got smart. Grandkids are needing to make lunches for tomorrow, pack a backpack, and be on the bus early. Little granddaughter only has a meet the teacher tomorrow at the grade school. Then she starts on Friday. Then, wow! We won't have any children in the house from 7am to 3pm. How weird is that?
