Hashbrown, so sorry about the pup. I stopped using rat poison bc I had a cat that died from eating a mouse that ate rat poison.

Grimm, we went to a Renaissance festival over in Texas a few times & it was fun. Wish they had them closer to where I live.

Snappy, I can honestly say the toothache was the worst pain I've ever had. I was tempted to grab some pliers & try to rip the tooth out myself-- but given how hard it was for the dentist to remove it, I'm glad I didn't. It did not come out in one piece. I think it was more than 10 pieces because most of the tooth was strong, but the one side that was hard to reach was broken & couldn't be fixed without destroying the whole tooth because of it's location.

I broke the "no heavy lifting" rule to move stuff outside to be more secure, unloaded more stuff from the truck, moved the kittens away from the sliding glass door to a safer location, parked the truck away from the tree, fed the kitties, got 3 calls from relatives (my paternal uncle, maternal aunt, and my sister).

Bleeding seems to have mostly stopped from the extraction site. Just hoping the power won't be out for too long after this hurricane.

Took the grandkids to town to open a savings acct for them. Encouraging them to save money for a car. Tomorrow is the first day of High School here for them and they are anxious and exciting. It's been since March since they had school, and this is a new state. At least here they can go in person, for the time being. Granddaughter had work. We went to the thrift store, the hardware store, and the Mennonite Salvage store. After lunch, loaded up the old truck with all the tires it could hold, and went to the dump. There's still a stack of them here, for the next load. Stopped by the Amish bulk store after the dump (husband wanted a deli sandwich there), and got a bunch of empty pails and lids, some ranch and italian bulk dry mix, more yeast, and odds and ends. They were cleaned out of canning lids. Was just there last week, and there must of been a dz sleeves of over 200 of them. So someone got smart. Grandkids are needing to make lunches for tomorrow, pack a backpack, and be on the bus early. Little granddaughter only has a meet the teacher tomorrow at the grade school. Then she starts on Friday. Then, wow! We won't have any children in the house from 7am to 3pm. How weird is that?
It will be peaceful, at least from 7 to 3!

It's been a really sad day in our house. Our 7 month old pup ate rat bar bait in the barn last night she passed this morning. Jake told me he figured his papa that passed needed a friend in heaven.
I'm so sorry. So hard to lose one of our family pets. Daughter had a dog get some mouse poison. She was able to get it to the vet and saved it.

Crosby has been gone for 10 months, and today, I cried harder about her than I have since we first lost her. No idea why this happens, except a couple photos and videos came up for her recently. One of the dogs that I take to the park a few mornings a week had ACL surgery 7 weeks ago and has been on low activity until he gets cleared by the vet. He comes over to my place and we hang out in the back yard. He investigates, watches squirrels and walks around and I work on digging and straining out one of my garlic beds, prepping it for asparagus. He really picked up on my sadness today, and every time I was crying and blowing my nose, he came over and offered his condolences. It was rather sweet.

I hope today is going to be a good day.

Got word last night that my butcher block was in, picked it up at 6 this morning. Now I have motivation the build the base it will sit on.. :) Wife will be so happy when she finds out.

Learned that our state is no longer on the banned list, so now the Son can come home for a visit, I promised him that I would save the grout work on the backsplash for him (he is kinda arts-ie).

Wife agreed to let me replace the car tent so I can keep things dry just a little longer, I hope to make a run to Harbor F over my lunch break to pick up one and get a router to finish up the counter top.... Love it when a plan comes together.

I am thankful my toe no longer hurts, it did turn black and the toenail did come off, but hey if it doesn't hurt don't fix it....

Now if my shoulder would just get back to 100% before bow season...

I'm so sorry about your pup, Hashbrown and Jake! It is so hard to lose a friend.

Glad your plan is working Urbanhunter!

My day started at at about 1:30 am. Darn steroids! Today is the last full day, then I start scaling back. Our platform on eBay was switched to managed payments and our first sale had to be refunded. Learning curve, but got it fixed (I think). Our rescue dog bit DH yesterday pretty good when he tried to put ear mite medicine in his ear. I will try rubbing his ears with vaseline today. If I can do that without being bitten. Really not sure what to do with him. I will be talking to a new vet in a couple of weeks and see if she has any suggestions.

Anyway, today I will do my video, clean baths, wash rugs, dust house and sweep. May be ready for bed by then. LOL

Later, I hope to get my liver, bacon and onions cooked.
I hate being wide awake and exhausted at the same time!

Today is going to be a long day.
Wife has got to be at hospital at 11am.

We sure hope today will be a good day, hope they get that stone and relieve her pain.
I'm sure it will be late afternoon before we know a anything.
Y'all pray that it all goes well.

She needs relief.

I'm being set up for kidney ultrasound, as my lasted labs aren't great.
I have got to stop Eliquist also. Got the heart problems under control, but now kidneys are failing.

I'll be glad when August 2020 is behind us. .

Hope y'all have a great day.

Jim

@phideaux you been taking a "water pill"? those are notorious for messing up your kidneys. Especially lasix ( or the generic brand). Nasty stuff. The longer you take them the worse they do to the kidneys

JIm its one lifes test after another for yall about time to get a break you hang in there and see what you can do to help you two. :huggs:my great cyber friend.

Just got out of surgery.
He was able to laser the stone and break it into tiny pieces.
He put a smaller stent in, and believes that her pain will be gone now.

He thinks the large surgical stent was what was causing her pain .
Will be going home later today.
I sure hope the pain is gone or at least lot better.

We will see.

Thanks for all your prayers.

Drive home, sitting on the porch are the shelves I ordered in MAY, the box was torn and tattered but all the shelves are fine :)

Tonight I get to have bone-in Chops :) and I have tomorrow morning off.... It don't get much better....

Hope everyone else has a great Night and a Wonderful Day Tomorrow!

Had just shy of a 12 hour day on the road yesterday. From home to Lewiston, ID to Ellensburg, WA then back home. In Ellensburg, there were 2 protests going on. One for the right to breath - anti maskers and another for blm. What struck me as odd was the blm one was a dozen or so 20 year white kids - no blacks at all!
Dad is still in the hospital. Yesterday, they did a scope down the throat and shocked his heart in order to regulate it. Today, he's doing very well today and is hungry which is awesome because he is very thin right now. We should get to bring him home tomorrow. Yay!
Jim - Amen! She's feeling better.
Hash - ugh! so sorry.
Need to sit and catch up on what everybody's up to.

Wife is home.
Uncomfortable, tired , sore, still somewhat under the influence, but, the pain is almost gone, she says 90% gone.
She's moving very well.

I'm happy.

Just don't know why she had to go through that pain for 2 weeks.. just don't seem right.
He took out a large stent and put in a smaller stent that will come out Monday.

She even wants a PBJ sammich.

By the time I got everything put away I learned that the wife was not up to fixing supper (no chops :( ). But I remembered that we had some leftover taco salad filling, some avocado, cheese, salsa and sour cream. I made us some tacos and everything is fine. A good prepper always has a plan b ;)
