Not sure what all I did today, but am wiped out. Twins had the first day of school. Little granddaughter had a meetup with her teacher today, classroom tour, and her first day is tomorrow. So...the schoolbus comes at 7:02 am for all three of them. This should be interesting. They've been fairly lax since school let out in March. Grandson's first phone just came in the mail. He saved his money from working and ordered a smartphone of some sort. Monthly payment from Walmart for service, no contract. Has to be turned in at bedtime, schooltime, choretime, mealtime. Didn't like the flip phone he has to carry if he's out doing something. We'll see how this works out.

We are tired of all the crap going on and I've been biting my tonque alot lately but like advised I've kept my opnion aka 'advice' to myself. lil loser:cool:. Its not even fun anymore saying " I told You So" and I feel a big one coming up but I hope I'm wrong which I am more often or just admit it more often, not sure.
We don't know if we should stay or leae but think staying is better. We are older no and you know what comes with age.

Jim, Glad the Mrs is home and improving.
Lady Locust great news about your dad.
Hashbrown, sorry to hear about the pup.
Got my funny looking shoe in the mail today.
Feet are still swelling, but keep on keep on walking.
Got small bone in left foot broken right at the heel.
Hence the funny shoe.
Got a small bone in left wrist broken too.
Have upcoming MRI coming up sooner.
Doing laundry tomorrow.

Just got out of surgery.
He was able to laser the stone and break it into tiny pieces.
He put a smaller stent in, and believes that her pain will be gone now.

He thinks the large surgical stent was what was causing her pain .
Will be going home later today.
I sure hope the pain is gone or at least lot better.

We will see.

Thanks for all your prayers.

Jim

So happy to read this!

Day went well, got base frame for Island made... Didn't have time to pick up the tent...

Hey Double_R did you get your tractor home? Am on pins and needles waiting to find out

Phideaux, I hope that takes care of it and she can recover quickly

Actually the tractor is now officially home. I’m going to eat and head out and get to work.

Well she says "WOW" that tearing , excruciating pain is not there.
She's moving much better.

Hope it ain't just the Percocet.
Looking good.

But even on oxycodone , she didn't move this easy.

Fingers crossed.

Jim

Wife is home.
Uncomfortable, tired , sore, still somewhat under the influence, but, the pain is almost gone, she says 90% gone.
She's moving very well.

I'm happy.

Just don't know why she had to go through that pain for 2 weeks.. just don't seem right.
He took out a large stent and put in a smaller stent that will come out Monday.

She even wants a PBJ sammich.

Jim
Prayers answered! Now for a super speedy recovery and her runnin circles around you again 😬 Major hugs to you both. Gently of course!

Glad you have a tractor again, Double R
I am up at O Dark Thirty hearing the kids tromp around upstairs, getting ready for school, and for an early bus. Little one goes today. We are going into the bigger town to take care of some banking, and I'll be baking a bunch more brownies for the fowl sale going on early evening. I'll be doing the food sales with my cousins's family...all proceeds go to the Amish School where their kids go. We are selling hamburgers, chips, pie, icecream, soda pop, and brownies.

Going to walk in a few minutes before we get another band of rain.
Paid vehicle insurance already and will PC about 8 pints or so of taco meat.

Cut the prednisone in half today to start scaling back and will try to not be as busy today. Got almost 6 hours sleep last night which is twice what I got the night before.

Congratulations Double R on getting tractor home.
Now the big question id it fixed up right and proper.
Congratulations Snappy on getting prednisone cutting back.
Sitting here sipping coffee before I go to laundry mat for laundry detail.
Wahoo on the sleep Snappy.
Feels good doesn't it.
Hope Peanut is doing well.
I'll try to be back later after laundry detail.

Congratulations Double R on getting tractor home.

Thanks 😊 It appears to be fixed. Time will tell. It gets up to temp much better does seem to be regen-ning when it’s supposed to on it’s own now. Hasn’t done that properly since we got it. Kind of sounded like the manufacturer couldn’t figure out an exact fix so they added an override button. Very weird but we’ll see. Will give it some time.
I did question why we had to break down to find out about the campaign and In the end it came down to our tractor was on no ones list anymore since the dealer we bought it from went under. I said shouldn’t cooperate be in contact or have all that dealers customers on someone else’s list!? We’re now on their list. So the saga of tractor 1 continues.
At least this time all the bolts etc seemed to have been put back on and the tractor was actually taken care of. The cover I sent is sure sun bleached. Can only imagine the gauges and handles and stuff had I not sent that cover or had they not actually used it. As far as shops it was a night and day experience. That’s for sure.
Happy it’s home and sure hope nothing else goes wrong. Wish we could trade it in for a Kabota. Lol

Hope it works great and you cn do some work now.

Laundry is done.
Washed, dried, folded or hung and put away.
I don't mind doing laundry normally.
But this splint makes it more challenging.
Hope to get more than 4 hours of sleep tonight.
We'll see.
Have walked several times this morning.
But too hot right at the moment, no breeze of any kind.
Set up medicine for the next week.
Strawberry has been walked several times today too.
Sitting here sipping coffee, crocheting "Swiffer" covers for floor and furniture duster.
I wonder how much stuff you need to make up for shop on Ebay, Etsy etc?
Cost to get started
Might have to go look.

Went into the big town today and ran errands with husband. Little granddaughter had her first day of 4th grade today and is now sprawled out on the floor watching Star Trek with her papa. We brought pie to my favorite cousin and visited with her awhile. She was beside herself because her brother's wife isn't going to make it much longer with cancer, and she saw her this morning. We'll maybe go tomorrow if she makes it through the night, she is at home on hospice. Waiting for the twins to get home from school, then a few chores, then off to the fowl sale. We are selling the supper food there tonight.

@Double R , glad your tractor is home, hope that's the end of the problems.
Looks like everybody is very busy .
Well I been babysitting for so long , it's strange watching the wife go to the bathroom and kitchen all by herself.
She is doing much better today. Still taking some pain meds , but doing better.
I believe she will be doing really good in a couple days.

I started making a holster today for the S&W 40 cal. I never had a cross draw , thought I'd try it.

Got more food from friends.
PT was here, she did really good.
Rained all day.

Bored.

Jim

Good she is up and moving.

Glad to hear Mrs Jim is doing so much better. Prayers answered.
Double R glad you got your tractor back. That has to ease your mind. What brand tractor is it, model?
Been trying to get all my safety plan approved for finishing my part of the big remaining project for nearly a month, had to push delivery of the final install and testing of the primary equipment back 2 weeks and was getting up against the deadline. Finally got a call from the ES&H guy at 2pm today that everything is good to go as I planned. So had to rush around and set up work this weekend for 5 techs to pull coax and install interior antennas. We'll end up pulling nearly 1500' of coax and have 8 antennas to mount and hook up. close to 40 connectors to solder on. Bad thing is all this work is in an area with some known lead contamination. So that'll slow us down, gotta dress out in Tyvek, gloves, booties, all kinds of fun stuff. And bag up our mess once we're done for disposal. After getting the overtime set up and pre job briefs for everyone, I was told to be there with them. So my weekend is shot. But work will pretty much be finished until the 14th.
We also got the job posted to fill in for my guy that passed away. I'm hoping to have that filled by Nov 1.

@phideaux , so glad to hear she is feeling so much better!
@Double R , I lose patience when people can't hold up on their end to take care of what they need to take care of. I hope the tractor works like it is supposed to now. I always loved driving tractors and other machinery around, doing field work and moving heavy stuff. You can get so much more done with a tractor than you can by hand. My challenge is how much I dislike being in the sun and heat. I would have to have a cab and preferably air conditioning.

I have a house to visit 3 times a day this weekend to feed dogs and let them out to do their business. I have another dog that is staying with me for the weekend. He is a little older and a recently adopted rescue dog. He sleeps a lot, but I try to get him up every hour or so to move around, go outside, and enjoy life. I have no idea about his background, but he is a happy guy.

It really was a cooler day here. High's were around 80, and it is lightly sprinkling now. We desperately needed this moisture, and I am hoping the mountains are getting it as well. The Pine Gulch fire is now officially the largest wild fire in Colorado's known history. The last I heard, no homes have been destroyed and so far, no lives lost.

Some of us here are against the mask. Some of us think we should wear them. Wearing one out in this heat just about killing me to breathe and making my heart beat a little too hard and fast for me, so guess what. I went to a store and did not wear one (I actually had forgotten it). No one said a word, although people looked at me a little suspiciously. The store clerks didn't say a word and were friendly. Mission accomplished.

Mmmm. How much for delivery? :)

@Bacpacker It’s an L S 8084.It does ease my mind having it home safely and they absolutely took care of it at this shop which is a very welcomed change. Just wish the shop was a lot closer. Have been using it and am finally smelling paint burning off of it. Lol! We’re finally getting up to the proper temperatures now. Sounds very quiet with the different fan system on it and the regen working. It sounds like it’s growling. lol

@Weedygarden Thank you we do to. I’m just so surprised at the whole experience since buying the original tractor. Having never bought anything new before maybe I expected to much. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am enjoying getting things done for sure and I don’t have many things that I’m truly happy doing but tractor work is one of them for sure. Like therapy. I have never used a cabbed tractor so I can only imagine how nice that would be.

Well it's the weekend, I did mount my scope, got to the store this morning ( I couldn't believe how short our list was :) ) Got home and have already put everything away. My wife like Monterey Jack Cheese and it has been hard to find lately, it was the only thing on the list I couldn’t fine. For breakfast I had McD’s burrito and homemade peach cobbler w Ice-cream, guess you could call that balanced ;) . Checked the weather forecast, it looks like we will catch Laura’s skirt, but I see 2 hours of clear in the morning, so I plan to cut wood early, then work inside till she clears. Last night I make the cabinets for the island, I hope to have everything but the top on the island done this afternoon.

Strawberry has been walked before the storm got here.
Watching it rain and listening to the thunder.
Working on Christmas crocheted blankets for grand daughters.
Working on "Swiffer" covers and furniture dusters.
Will be making pot of vegetable soup for meals today.
Got my tennis shoes back on(kid size 4).
Feels pretty good.
Heel still hurts, but got important 5 k coming up in October.
I will be walking for Prevention of Teenage Suicide.
This hit close to home(bullying involved also.)
Still got the splint on too.
Sipping coffee. Strawberry is snoozing on the love seat.
Listening to the storm.
Finally got done reading all those reports.
All of us senior NCOS came pretty much to the same conclusion.
Now the fun begins, rounding up everybody involved.
And I am so glad I'm retired now.
This could get messy and I hate messy.
Everybody have a nice day.

We;re having some much needed rain here this afternoon, so grandson won't be working doing yardwork for the lady he's been working for. Granddaughter has work today at the burger place, though. Yesterday's fowl sale was really busy. Saw You tuber Jordan, from Jordan's Harvest there. He just put out a video the other day where he put a go pro on a goat and watched his day. He was tickled pink to be recognized. Saw a lady buy a goat at the sale yesterday, and had only driven a car there, so she opened her trunk, stuck it in, and closed the lid.

Made with root vegetables that needed used up.
Pork steak bones for flavoring.
Orginally pork steaks were hickory smoked.
Yum.

Goat in the trunk? I've seen it before. I heard a story about a LEO stopping a vehicle once that was bouncing around. Seems there was a sheep in the trunk, on the way to be slaughtered and eaten for some Middle Eastern celebration. Driver told trooper, "No English." Trooper said, "Jail." All of a sudden driver understood English.

Not much today.
We are just going to set around and relax. Been another rough week.
Wife got up naseus this morning.
Gonna be a nasty day ,hot and humid, as it rained all day yesterday.
Probly work on the cross draw holster some more today, cause I get bored.

Watching Andy and Barney for a while.

Have had a headache be for about a week .

Y'all have a great day ...and think ... Christmas.
