Kinda tough day today.
I been trying to get time to spit shine my filthy Bad Boy side x side.
Put it on local classifieds Monday.
Guy called last night wants to see it at 6 today.
So I spent all day detailing it. Worked my butt off, 91 degrees today. Look like brand new , it's 10 years old.
Guy showed up at 6:05 with wife and 3 kids. Left at 7:30 with it on his trailer.
I bought it 9 years ago for $7000, got $7200 today. Happy happy.
Downsizing.

PT came today to see wife....not good...her oxygen was 98 sitting , pulse 72. Walked thru the house , oxygen 83, pulse 250..back to normal in 30 seconds...:dunno:

Got appt to see her primary doc tommorow.

We are suppose to go see the inside of that little house tommorow at 10 am.

Gotta do something about my wife's problem

Jim
Jim, you can get one of those o2 sensors for your finger they are inexpensive, that will give you a better feel for what's going on with your wife. We have to take the wife in every 6 Months for an in person checkup to maintain oxygen at the house... it's a Medicare thing. :( The pulsing oxygen machines are okay (great for traveling), unless you are also using a CPAP machine as they require a continuous flow. We have been dealing with it for years and it can be a drag, the lack of oxygen can also impact reasoning… Hope she gets the treatment she needs soon. Don’t forget to take care of yourself; it’s easy to forget yourself when you are focused on loved ones needs.

Woke up at 02:00, did a little drywall work, trying to get things where I can put a coat of paint on, that will allow me to install lighting. Parts came for the old car, but the rain says I'm not getting to it today... I think by this afternoon the wife can go back to stocking her new pantry. I need to clean the old pantry (now the cupboard) walls so I can paint it and then reinstall the shelves.

Leaving for the big town in a few hours. I need a few groceries and chicken feed. Taking 7 doz eggs to sale, should be able to get rid of all of them.

I did find out about something good for my little community. The children of a man I've written about before have opened a community food bank in his honor. Now I have a place for my over-flow eggs.

Strawberry refused to go outside 3 times this morning to take care of her business.
We're having thunderstorms here now.
Ground is soggy.
We're going to be soggy all week.
I need to rearrange stuff on bay window so I can bring plants in today.
It's official, I broke small bone in left foot by little toe.
Also have number 4 & 5 hammer toes, and bone spur on left heel.
No wonder my foot hurts.
Also got something called bunion on big toe.
Had MRI done yesterday on my neck and spine to see if we can find pinched nerve.
The vampires wanted 15 tubes of blood.
It's always nice to want.
They got 5 tubes of blood.
My iron count is above transfusion stage now. Wahoo!
Blood pressure was elevated at hospital 129/97.
Got home took nap, retook blood pressure it was pretty much normal.
Or my new normal anyway 97/ 58.
I'm within 25 pounds of my first Army goal weight. Yeah me.
Taking it easy today.

@phideaux hope today finds you two doing better . Let us know how your doing.:huggs:

Something just ain't right.
Wife is in so much pain , lower back, and nobody can find out what's causing it.she had another x-ray this week, no new fracture.

She goes to see primary doctor at 1:00.
I'm going to see inside of house in town at 10:00.

A pulse of 250???!!! That has to be a typo. Not even a hummingbird could manage that.

An SpO2 of 83% can be tolerated if it's a brief, temporary reading. But if you're sitting on that number routinely, for longer periods of time, that's a "head to the hospital" condition.

Keep in mind that a pulse rate of 250 would probably make your heart explode, which could in turn cause a low O2 sat reading.
That's exactly right Dave, doctor told me that was not so, and impossible.

Couple months ago I went to ER with 150 bpm, and it was increasing , got to 180 , they told me 10 more minutes I might be dead.

I didn't believe 250 either.

83 , spO2 yes , and will cause the heart to try and compensate . But not 250.

Jim

Walked first and then went to Dollar General and Walmart for a few needed fresh items. Donated some of those jars with handles that lids won't fit on, so I can't use them to can with.
Now home and will clean bathrooms, strain my new batch of fire cider and replace the old one in fridge.
Then cook cabbage, turkey sausage and onions. Then hard boil some eggs for me and scramble some for DH. Apparently, before any of that, I need to walk dogs. I am being begged!

Snappy,
What is fire cider? And what do you use it for? Is it hard to make?

Can't blame you. If you lived closer, I'd bring it by. The home health care nurse should of ordered it.

I talked to HC nurse about it.
She said she can't order, her doctor has to order it. We. Are sitting in waiting room right now to see her primary doctor.
I'm starting to lose my patience with all these people.
4 weeks of this and still no light at end of tunnel. Rather it's going backwards.

Jim

Sometimes atrial fibrillation can cause false high rates, does she have A-fib?
No , never had any issues with heart. She's had at least 10 ekg,s and 2 echo cardiogram in past 4 weeks.

Only heart issues now is blood clot in lung pressing against right side of heart causing strain on the right ventricle, but her ejection/fraction is 53.
Mines 22.

I have spent that last 5 days trying not to stress about the fire and coming up with ways to keep busy while I sit on my butt and wait.

I have made some notes and plans to make evacuating a touch easier with the cats. They have been staying in my folks garage and are not happy about it. We are using throw away litter boxes since I forgot to grab the tote with the litter supplies in it. I don't like the mess they are making since I have to sweep it up. I figure if I cut a hole in the evac totes and install a small pet door the boxes can go in there and control the mess. That way if we ever need to go to a hotel there is little evidence of cats.

The O2 should make her feel better. Percocet too. I hope that takes the edge off so she can heal in comfort.

If no better by Monday going for CT scan , again.
The way you two are going, pretty soon I'll be able to see the glow of radiation off to my east and be able to say, "That's my two friends in Kentucky!" You can go ahead and auction off all your flashlights - pretty soon they'll be redundant.

Please get better soon Brenda!!! 🥰

The kid hits 250bpm (as high as our meter goes) a few times a month. 175-180bpm is a weekly thing for her.

I hope the docs get her some relief soon. Take care of yourself too. I know how stressful it is to watch these episodes.

What is a normal pulse? Mine is always 71-80,mostly in 70s, can that mean a problem for beating too slow?

Jim, prayer headed up for you and yours. May it all be resolved with a good outcome, sooner than later.

My own parents are having their own troubles. We're reaching the point where they may not be physically able to stay on the farm much longer. Mom can't get around, always at risk of falling. Pops is 85 and becoming frail, he just doesn't have the physical strength to cope with keeping up a 5 acre yard and his trees and beloved blueberries, and dealing with winter, and helping mom get around. Then the well went bad recently, and yesterday the detached garage burned down and took all of his tools, his 1 year old Hustler mower, and all of his equipment for caring for the acreage with it. Dad isn't even out of the rehab facility from his brain bleed surgery yet. We're starting to wonder what else can happen.

When it rains, it pours...
