Well, Dawn and I were going to plant 12 poplar trees on the east side of the pasture, but 60-mi/hr winds last night and now we're picking up the broken branches, twigs, etc. Tomorrow about 4 or 5 hard-charging young missionaries will come by and help us get them done. For the joy of service, even though we're with a different faith...
...and also for lemonade, sloppy joes and some chips.
Let's hear it for ecumenism!!

Doctor not exactly thrilled with wife's continuing pain
Gonna give it 3 weeks to see it subsides.
Gotta go back for more x-rays .
She's gotta go to RA clinic on Monday. Gotta go for CT scan for kidney stones and Urologist appointment in 2 weeks.

We did have a good lunch out today.
Drove her by the house in town, she likes it.
Too hot today to be outside , gonna be hotter tomorrow.

Nothing planned for tomorrow.

Jim

@Neb It worked, your link to youtube. Looks like your spring worked too. That is impressive. Is that also in PA?

Yes.
The first spring used a kit from Engineer775 and cost me $350 or so. My brother looked at it and duplicated it for $50 using 5 gallon buckets and a visit to the plumbing department at Lowe's

Did you talk to my father before he passed?
He used to say "Rayners do not pump iron, we shovel dirt!"

I put in 9 12X3' hugelkulture (sp?) Garden boxes in our orchard about 6 years ago that were 3' deep. The Princess quipped "You are getting good at digging graves." I replied "Let's hope I don't need to use that skill".

Re: 90lbs bags
I opt for the 60 lbs bags and you have 15 years on me. I bow to you sir!

Re:springs
I developed 2 spring a few years ago and loved that work. This link(if it works) is my play list on YouTube.

I have a few more springs I hope to develop. Do you have any advice?

Ben

We built a hugelkulture mound a few years ago. I put it up in Gardening forum under'Hugelkulture.Had some big trees we cut down and I dug a 3 foot hole too.
It has sunk a little.

No its about 3 miles further .
3 miles east of me.
I live 3 miles out of our little town.

Jim

Looks like a nice house. If we leave here we will be renting or living on a boat on a river bank or in the bay. lol. We will probably stay though unless the community starts to go down.
it doesn't take but one family or resident to move in and ruin the whole n-hood. Seen it happen many times so if this one goes so do we.

Strawberry has been walked this morning at 0330.
Had muscle cramp like in labor pain from right hip to toes at 0300 this am.
Strawberry was walked at 0435 this morning.
Strawberry was walked at 0530 this morning.
Strawberry was walked at 0615 with the dog walker.
Went and looked at 2 apartments; 1 on the third floor(not happening), 1 on first floor.
The one on the first floor has the laundry room exactly 10 feet from the front door.
Laundry room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week no door on laundry room either.
Noisy neighbors above me.
Probably not that one either.
Went talked to bank, to see if they would help me get a house.
Have VA certificate for VA loan.
Probably will be paying off last of small big bill and starting paperwork for VA loan for small house.
Bank said they had 15 foreclosures being processed at homeowners requests.
Most of the homeowners have been out of work during this virus crap.
One lady has paid most of her loan off owes less than $10000 but with no income thinks she will lose it anyway.
I went by and looked at several of the homes.
If approved by VA maybe I will become a homeowner.
Me thinks Ms. Strawberry is getting you well trained 😉
Good luck with the VA loan and house hunting- might actually work out less than renting (not sure in different areas.)

Jim - good! Enjoy a day of no plans. Prayers for you both 💕

Neb - wow! Ambitious- concrete makes me tired just looking at it.

Yesterday set the tone for this week. Have morning calls with the folks in Europe, starting at 09:00 CEST (I'm on a break now) yesterday and today, last night I got the holes cut for last 2 lights in the kitchen, measured and made the support for the new fixtures (it's not installed yet), did a little drywall, cleaned off the mess son left on the countertop and stove, grilled burgers for dinner and set up a camp cot so I didn't have to sleep in a chair again last night. Nice thing about starting work at 03:00 is you don't have to feel guilty if you take off a little earlier in the afternoon. I need to mow the lawn, if the rain will just hold off

Playing driver today and going into the bigger town for shopping with my favorite cousin's daughter and her husband. They are picking up supplies needed for a fundraiser for the Amish school that they are doing in OK this Saturday. It is a big event, and they do the Johnny Poppin Ice Cream machine thing. I think it's supposed to warm up by Saturday. Yesterday you'd of thought the kids were freezing to death. Dropped to low 50's and they were whining about walking the dogs. It was 100 the day before. We had a cool night last night, and here they are leaving for the schoolbus with only a sweatshirt hoodie on. I asked where their coat was, and they said that they weren't wearing a coat. (it's not cool ). Little granddaughter put her coat on. Teens like to freeze. Thinking that our Albuquerque company may be in tonight, but not sure.

Walked first, fed dogs, walked dogs, used leaf blower on carport since DH was gone, Washed rugs and dog blankets, swept house and dusted. Still have to make salad for today and then rest.

I have been sleeping pretty well lately. That's a blessing! And my trigger thumb seems to be pretty much resolved as well as my hip! Also, finally losing weight again! Yay!

Hosted eight count 'em eight Mormon missionaries in my driveway at 1000 today: four Missionary Sisters (girls) and four Elders (guys) in sweats, jeans and carrying shovels. They planted ten hybrid poplar trees on the eastern edge of my pasture, grabbed four dozen fresh farm eggs, and were gone in a coupla hours. Nice, clean-cut kids; they didn't try to convert us and we didn't try to convert them.

Checked on pets, went to the store and post office, cleaned up after my friend's drug addict mother to reduce my friends stress. Baby has been sick and crying all night and they can't figure out what is wrong or what he needs. Changed formula 3x already. Took the stressed out new mom to the doctor and then to pharmacy to get meds.
Will be making dinner later. Hope there's enough food to go around.
Friend replaced part on dryer but heating element is bad. New one had been ordered. I helped him put it back together yesterday.
Planning to get a miter box to do some cuts for toe kick trim.
No ETA on power coming back on. Want to look in to solar panels bc it sucks waiting on this company trying to get things together.

Rain came in today. I at least the attic was cooler this afternoon, I got the boxes installed and wiring run for the last two lights in the kitchen. I started patching the last holes in the ceiling. Son won't be coming back for a while due to COVID-19 travel restrictions being put back in place. I guess I will be allowed to do painting, now that it's the only to finish the job. The weather is really making my joints ache.

On Sunday I went to BK to get a burger, didn't get anything like what I ordered, tried to call them, no answer, so when I did their survey I laid out my complaint.. They called today and gave me a full replacement, so that took care of my dinner ;)

Worked last couple days. My boss is off and I'm covering for him. So I had plenty off phone call to answer. Trying to locate some parts for a couple of vehicles we have. Got home and mom called to tell me they have her set up to have an arteriorgram next Wed. Dad will be the only one allowed in with her. We would appreceiate all the prayers we could get.

Of course we pray for her.

Kinda tough day today.
I been trying to get time to spit shine my filthy Bad Boy side x side.
Put it on local classifieds Monday.
Guy called last night wants to see it at 6 today.
So I spent all day detailing it. Worked my butt off, 91 degrees today. Look like brand new , it's 10 years old.
Guy showed up at 6:05 with wife and 3 kids. Left at 7:30 with it on his trailer.
I bought it 9 years ago for $7000, got $7200 today. Happy happy.
Downsizing.

PT came today to see wife....not good...her oxygen was 98 sitting , pulse 72. Walked thru the house , oxygen 83, pulse 250..back to normal in 30 seconds...:dunno:

Got appt to see her primary doc tommorow.

We are suppose to go see the inside of that little house tommorow at 10 am.

Gotta do something about my wife's problem

Jim

Oxygen 83 isn't good. Is she on oxygen when she's walking? 93 is ok sitting. When my husband is walking around with the walker, he uses a portable imogen otherwise his oxygen gets too low.
It's been raining cats and dogs here all day and in the 40's. Such a change. Old friend and his adult son took a road trip from New Mexico to see us, so they're here for a few nights. They are planning on going to the space museum in the bigger town near us tomorrow, and then we'll all go out for an Amish supper. Played driver for my cousin and family today, so did some shopping, too.

I put a rocking chair because that’s a mixed bag post. Yay on the sale of side by side. Maybe you could sell a few things for me 😉
Wife - will send up another prayer. I agree they need to get it figured out.
@Bacpacker Will definitely have your mom and Drs in prayers also.
@snappy1 Good you’re sleeping again! That’s huge. Also good you are loosing weight. You are so diligent which is what it takes. Glad you’re feeling better.
I’ve been driving most of yesterday and today so I’m guessing back stretches will be a must tomorrow morning. Lots of smoke everywhere and no rain in the forecast yet.

A pulse of 250???!!! That has to be a typo. Not even a hummingbird could manage that.

An SpO2 of 83% can be tolerated if it's a brief, temporary reading. But if you're sitting on that number routinely, for longer periods of time, that's a "head to the hospital" condition.

Keep in mind that a pulse rate of 250 would probably make your heart explode, which could in turn cause a low O2 sat reading.

@Amish Heart , yes she is on Eliquist..for 9 days now.
It's definitely a PE.
Cat scan caught it, when they found the kidney stone. Cardiologist said he would not do anything with her weak condition after 4 surgeries in 4 weeks.

They are hoping the , Eliquist will take care of it.
I want some oxygen until it does.

Jim

My goodness I agree she needs oxigen. And both of you need a rest.
