This morning I woke up thinking I should check the world AG forecast for 2021 January edition.... looks like most grain crops are down about 1%, except rice. All meats are down but the prices are up on demand, and the only bright spot was dairy... Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.....

Talked with someone from work yesterday and they split up with their spouse.... It reminded me that reports said that the areas of China that had the lock downs saw a significant increases in their divorce rates, wonder if that is a global response?

Well the morning break is over and I need to switch computers....

Drinking tea looking at the weather, more snow coming. We need to go to the grocery store. Well, we dont absolutely need to, but I would like to a few is w things like orange juice and yogurt ( our stupid milk goat is taking her time with the kids, we bread her early , or tried to, to have milk but no go looks like)
Urban hunter: what do you mean by grain crops are down? Prices or quantities? We are having a harder time than usual getting grain for the animals. We now have to pre order it, and some stuff is no longer available. Prices have gone up too.
I have a new computer sitting there I am not using because A: it has windows 10 and I hate new computer stuff, and B; I will have to log into ALL the things that require passwords, and I can't find my cheat sheet......I had son set it up ( connect it to the internet and make me some microsoft account that you need to run windows 10). I have avoided this as long as possible, have a 8 year old laptop that was refurbished when I got it 8 years ago, but is on it's last leg

Glad you're still with us, Peanut! You too, Double R! Rough weather!

I'll be doing things today that I thought I would get done earlier this week.
Hard boil eggs and make egg salad.
Start some lists for my trip North in June.
Prune roses.
Walk myself and walk dogs.
Supposed to get up to 61 here today and down to 35 tonight.

Hey @sonya123 the AG world crop report shows projected harvests, starting and ending inventories, so when I talk about them being up or down we are talking about supplies/inventories being up or down, generally if inventories go down prices will go up...

Prices are so low on milk around here that most dairy farmers bailed. It cost them more to feed their cows than they get for milk. My dairy farmer cousin sold most all his jerseys. He keeps 7 milkers right now, buys calves from the cow sale each week, raises them (with the milkers), will sell them for meat when they get bigger. Still has excess milk for their family and ours. We do the chickens and the eggs. That's our workaround. Soy beans and grain have done great in our area, and didn't get hit with all the bad weather that the midwest had. That same cousin did certified organic soybean, milo, and hay, so sold it for more.

Don't hear alot aabout food production now so no telling.

Divorce? Guess its like the song says'You Always Hurt The One You Love',in an epdemic isolation that can be par for the course. How tragic for those who have to live with thier and half baked decisions divorce is not always the answer.

I was exhausted after being up all night with the storms. Made up an excuse to go to town so I could eat without cooking. Sitting here now thinking of what I have in the house to eat that requires no effort. No plans for the evening.

I found this in my yard a couple days ago... spring is knocking on the door...

That is my youngest sister's favorite flower.

Good morning to all.
Weather is crappy.
Snow, ice, dark dreary,cold.
It might hit 26* today as the high,
Doctor appointment got cancelled due to road conditions, weather conditions.
Already rescheduled that for Feb.
Probably going to be comfort food type day.
Goulash, spaghetti, leftover soup.
Strawberry hasn't been walked for several days with the dog walker.
I think I miss the dog walker more than she does.
School has been cancelled in several counties in my area.
Both sons want me to stay inside till weather breaks.
They're worried about me falling on black ice.
I don't even see snow plow out yet.
So will be listening to music, watching something on tv, laundry, crocheting on dad's blanket.
Will have to make up grocery order for pickup on Sunday.

And a good morning to you too MoBook, :huggs: good to see you back around, you've been absent alot lately.what songs are you listening to and why not share them with us on music threads?

@MoBookworm1957 , that weather is moving East. Guess who lives just East of you.
We haven't had snow last 2 years.
Maybe we will break the cycle this year.

RA doctor wanted wife to get Shingles shot. He scripted to our pharmacy.
She called ..$191 .. that is incredible.
She is thinking it over.
I think she should do it.

Staying in today

Wait for snow . I hope we get enough to make snow cream.

Tomorrow we both got appointments.

Jim

We’re dealing with pretty bad winds here right now. The worst is still coming so I’m told. Going to be a long stressful night.
We're expecting a big one coming in tomorrow from northern Washington/southern B.C. Given Idaho Power, I don't know if I'll have internet, 'phone, or even electricity.

Batten down the hatches, guess this is the week for storms... hope ya'll make it okay.

You need to reread the above post.

Snow day, but we went into the bigger town because husband wanted swiss cheese. So we went and bought groceries because we were there. In the 20's still, snow on the ground. Went through a drive thru for lunch and I had philly cheese steak and a german chocolate milkshake. That place has 101 milkshake flavors.
